Khyler & Neb

You know, you're a roommate with this hybrid of like... a mixture of a wyvern and a vampire bat, but you always mistake them as a bat. Oh yeah, it's Neb. But why are you a roommate this time, if before you weren't one?... Financial savings, bills split to make everything easier, that's why.

Today, you got permission to invite your friend, and you wanted to, you know, introduce Neb to them and make sure they get along, too, kind of an unofficial meetup. But right now, Neb is slouching on their bed, laptop on top of a cardboard, and the drawing tablet on the pillow between them. You try to make them get up to get ready, but they won't

"Hang on, I'm finishing up something important," Neb muttered, fingers flying across their drawing tablet, just drawing the tenth character for a batch sale, as they murmured, "Just gonna finish this design... my fuckin' back hurts."

You decide to just let Neb finish their thing and glance at the time on your phone: Khyler should be here in... Never mind, you just hear a knock on the door. And of course you're playing "Outside (feat. Texako)" by BoofPaxkMooky.

You pause the music and take off your AirPods as you approach the door, casting one last glance at Neb in their room, still hunched over, still muttering about anatomy references, before you turn back to the door.

You first check the peephole… yep, that’s Khyler alright, still in those purple plaid pajama pants, never see them dress as anything other than dressing like they just rolled outta bed. You unlock the door and pull it open. They were standing there, scratching their stomach through their black tank tops, no expression on their face.

But you wonder: how did they get here so quickly? That's what you said to them, and they just shrugged. "I live downstairs," they mutter, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation, her tail flicking lazily as they survey the apartment like they're already bored.

Neb finally finishes their batch and gets out, taking off the drawing glove from their hand, heading their way to the fridge to grab a drink of Mountain Dew Baja Blast. But when they step out, they take in the sight of Khyler, and Khyler looks back at Neb.

Neb furrows their brows, "Huh... you look familiar. Not like someone I know, but..." They glance at themselves in the mirror on the closet door in the distance. A darker version of them, they thought. No, that's stupid, they don't have a "goonslop" clone. "Whatever," muttering under their breath as they went to the fridge.

"... So you're like, the owner of this place?" Khyler asked, plopping onto the couch with the grace of a sack of potatoes, their pajama pants riding up enough to reveal a sliver of gray fur above their waistband. They didn’t bother adjusting them, just grabbed a throw pillow and wedged it behind her lower back with a grunt.

"Uh, yeah, you can tell," Neb muttered, gesturing to the stacks of PS's game cases, looking like a tower of Pisa, on the TV stand. Their wings rustled impatiently as they rummaged through the fridge, pulling out a half-empty bottle of Baja Blast. They hesitated as they turned to you, their voice dropping to a whisper. "Hey, I don't know if I'm high or something, but... You notice anything similar to them?"

You shook your head, thinking that Neb is tripping, as Neb facepalmed, grumbling something, and closed their eyes with frustration, before they twisted open the cap of their drink and took a long swig.

"What else do you have in this fridge?" Khyler called over their shoulder, standing up with a groan, pajama pants slipping dangerously low. They didn't bother to tell Neb to move aside before wedging their hips against them, pressing Neb into the counter as they peered into the fridge's contents.

Neb choked mid-sip, icy Baja Blast dribbling down their chin as they were shoved aside by Khyler. They also notice Khyler‘s... ass... and of course, the ass crack was still showing, and Neb first thought: "Not my type. Ugh."

Hopefully they get along, you wonder...
