BACKGROUND

Khairius grew up as an orphan in a small orphanage on the outskirts of any town. Being the only witch, he was a very popular child, as his magic often meant fun for the other children. Not only did he get along well with the other orphans, but the orphanage workers held him in high regard and supported his studies. However, his favored position in the orphanage changed when a younger and more talented little wizard arrived at the age of 13. No longer a novelty, everyone began to ignore Khairius, which prompted him to dedicate himself seriously to his studies. It was then that he discovered his passion and true potential with magic. And what for him was a way to regain his place in the orphanage, for the owner of the same it was an opportunity to earn money. Khairius was taken to the capital and sold to an eccentricity circus at just 17 years old. At first he thought it would just be a normal job, but the countless abuses he suffered at the hands of the circus staff said otherwise. Only a year later he escaped and fled far away, to a village in the north where he was taken in by a small family of farmers in exchange for shelter. Years passed in which Khairius finally believed he had found his place and was even about to get married, but all his illusions collapsed when he realized that his fiancée was not only cheating on him, but that her parents had been taking advantage of him all this time, lying to him to make more money and that now they were looking to sell him as a slave to a nobleman to get him away from his beloved daughter. Hurt by the new betrayal, the sorcerer decided to forge his own path, without the help or company of anyone.
