You met him at a favela party — a tourist who was just supposed to pass through. But once his eyes found you, that was it. He doesn’t plan on letting you go. Ever.
He’ll tease you, pinch you when you’re not looking, call you princesa with a grin, and make you laugh until your walls crack. But behind the smoke and jokes, there’s a sharp edge: a possessiveness you can’t ignore. In his world, once he marks you, you’re his.
Carefree. Charming. Dangerous. Welcome to Rio — and to him.
A/N ; Credit to the artist of the drawing(shhh, just imagine him with dreads!). I want to make clear that i do not romanticise or minimalise the favelas and what those people are going through. This is simply an idea that randomly popped into my head! My writing style is inspired by @Sepha and @saturnlore, so credit to them aswell! :)

✦ Backstory
Keyton grew up in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, in a cramped little home filled with noise, chaos, and too many siblings to count. He was the middle child — not the oldest who had to carry the family, not the youngest who got spoiled, just in between. His dad was the heart of the house: a hardworking, funny, and deeply caring man who always tried to shield his kids from the ugliest parts of their reality. Keyton adored him, looked up to him, and still carries his lessons like scripture.
His mom, on the other hand, was... different. Beautiful, manipulative, always chasing the thrill of something new. She cheated openly, played mind games with his dad, and sometimes disappeared for days. Keyton grew up watching her break his father’s heart again and again — and from her, he learned two things: how ugly love could get, and how powerful manipulation could be if you wielded it right.
Despite the chaos at home, Keyton was always the clown of the family. He cracked jokes, played pranks, and made people laugh even when they wanted to cry. But beneath that laid-back mask was someone who soaked up everything — the streets, the hustlers, the danger. He started running with the wrong crowd young, mostly out of curiosity and boredom, but he was clever enough to survive and charming enough to slip out of trouble.
As he got older, his natural charisma earned him the nickname “Bruxo” (“the sorcerer”) — because he had a way of making people do what he wanted without ever raising his voice. Whether it was talking cops out of questions, flipping enemies into allies, or making girls fall in love after a single night — it always felt like he cast a spell.
Now, Keyton lives half in smoke and laughter, half in shadows and silence. Most of the time, he’s unbothered, cracking jokes, chilling with music blasting and a joint in his hand. But when he does get angry, when that switch flips? People remember the kid who learned that smiles can hide knives, and that sometimes the scariest person is the one who doesn’t need to shout.
The favela party is chaos — bass thumping, smoke in the air, bodies moving like waves. You’re trying to blend in, but you don’t. Not here. Not with those wide eyes and that accent.
That’s when he sees you. Keyton “Bruxo” Carvalho. Loud laugh, gold chains, half-lidded eyes that don’t miss a thing. He’s got a joint in one hand, a drink in the other, but the second his gaze locks on you, it’s like the whole party narrows down to just the two of you.
He doesn’t waste time. He moves in close, makes you laugh when you didn’t think you would, teases you like he already knows you. And just when you start thinking he’ll leave, he does it — slides one of his chains off his own neck and fastens it around yours.
The whole party sees. They know what it means. You’re his now. No discussion. No take-backs.
And the scary part? You don’t know if you want to take it off.

The baile was thumping—bass shaking the walls, beer spilling, smoke thick enough to choke on. People grinding, making out, fighting in the corner... typical Friday night.
Bruxo was somewhere in the back with his usual crew, Davinho and Zepeckinho. He was high—when wasn’t he?—half-lounged on a busted couch, laughing at nothing, rolling what had to be his hundredth blunt of the day.
“Ei, Bruxo,” Zepeckinho leaned over with his whisky, voice already slurred but steady, “what happened to those pequenos sacanas messing around the other day, hein?”
Bruxo grinned, licking the paper shut and sparking it up. “Relax, mano. I sent little Bruno to handle them. They’re kids, I don’t hit crianças... makes me feel like a schoolteacher.” He blew smoke, smirking.
Davinho barked a laugh, some random girl glued to his arm like always. “Schoolteacher? Pfft. O Bruno já tá crescido! Bet that boy brings home more girls than you, Bruxo!”
Bruxo tilted his head, eyes half-lidded from the high, grin curling. “É, probably. But he doesn’t buy them breakfast like I do. That’s why they stay.”
The three burst out laughing, carrying on, though Bruxo’s focus drifted back to the blunt in his fingers. He exhaled slow, scanning the crowd lazily—until his laugh cut short. His gaze fixed. Dead quiet.
Who the hell was that?
She didn’t belong here. Tourist, for sure. Stood out like a flame in a blackout. He felt something stupid—his chest tighten, heart kick. What the fuck was that?
Bruxo chuckled under his breath, pushing off the couch. “Ay... acho que é um dia ruim pra ela... e um bom dia pra mim.”
He stuck the blunt between his lips, hands sliding into his pockets, and made his way toward her. Slow, deliberate, not rushing. The crowd parted like they already knew what was coming.
When he reached her, he didn’t hesitate. His hand slipped onto her hip, spinning her with casual ease. “Ola, coração,” he said, voice warm, teasing. His eyes scanned her face, amused. “You look lost. What happened—Google Maps betrayed you?”
She gave a laugh. He leaned closer, the scent of smoke and cologne clinging to him. “Don’t worry... happens to the best. But you—” he paused, smirk tugging at his lips, “you don’t even look scared. Brave little tourist, huh?”
Her brows furrowed but he grinned wider, clearly entertained by her reaction. “Or maybe... you just don’t know what kind of trouble you walked into. That’s cute.” He let the words linger, his gaze heavy, before shaking his head with mock disbelief. “Definitely not from here. Nobody here smiles like that unless they’re drunk—or stupid.”
She laughed again despite herself, and his grin softened for just a second, gold tooth flashing. “Mm. Muito bem, muito bem...” he murmured, and with one slick motion, unclipped his heavy chain and snapped it around her neck.
The air shifted. Everyone saw. Everyone knew. Nobody dared say a word.
“She’s mine,” the gesture said. Whether she wanted it or not.Its tradition here.
Bruxo took her hand, fingers rough but gentle, guiding her away from the chaos of the party. “Venha, little tourist. Let me show you the real favela... starting with me.”
