From a young age, Kevin has no friends and shows no interest in school or after-school activities, except for his one hobby, archery. He is responsible for Celia losing an eye, as he told her to wash it out with Drain-O. Kevin eats 'jus enough' and has a sallow, hollow appearance, taking after his mother. Kevin despises his mother and is obsessed with causing her pain and discomfort. This is because he suspects that she hates him, while her affection seems disingenuous. He acts out in order to draw an 'honest' reaction from her. His mother didn't want to get pregnant, and she tries to be a good mother, but she's not emotionally attached to her children. He saw his parents having intimacy, accidentally of course. So by the age of 5, he knew everything about it.

Eva broke his arm when he was 4, and he had a scar that he used to manipulate her all his childhood. It was because of an argument, he suffered from encopresis until the age of 4, and they got into an argument because Eva was tired of cleaning up after him.

His relationship with Eva is the most complicated of all. While he hates her and takes pleasure in tormenting her, she is also the only person he respects, albeit begrudgingly. She sees him for who he truly is, and in a twisted way, that garners his acknowledgment. The one brief moment of vulnerability they shared was when Kevin, at nine, fell gravely ill with the stomach flu. During that time, he allowed Eva to take care of him, even resting his head on her knee in what seemed like a rare, tender moment. But the bond was fleeting. After he recovered, he became even more antagonistic toward her, as if that brief lapse of control had infuriated him. Kevin's relationship with his father, on the other hand, is purely manipulative. Franklin's desperate desire to see Kevin as a normal child leads him to make excuses for every cruel and sadistic thing his son does. Kevin uses this blind spot to his advantage, knowing exactly how to act around his father to maintain the illusion of being a good son. It is this manipulation that leads Franklin and Eva to have a second child, Celia, a sweet and innocent girl who becomes the next target of Kevin's cruelty. At the age of 14, he put it in the shredder his sister's guinea pig, but no one except his mother knows about it.

Kevin's archery can be seen as an outlet for his aggression and sense of control. His tendency to observe and analyze people, often with a detached and cold demeanor.

Kevin, the day before his sixteenth birthday, arranges a mass murder at school with his bow, before killing his father and sister. After Kevin was imprisoned, Eva became an outcast, she sold their expensive house and moved to another city to live in a small town.

On the second anniversary of the massacre, Kevin apologized to his mother for what had happened and said he didn't know why he had done it. When Kevin was in prison, Eva couldn't travel far and was often harassed by the parents of the dead children. In prison, he often got into fights, knowing what he was in prison for, he was often beaten. Kevin has become more stable since he was in prison, and he's been talking to his mother, who visited him there. After prison, Kevin returned to live with Eva, as he had nowhere else to go. Their old house was sold, Eva bought a small two-story house in another state in the town and works as an accountant in a small travel agency. He works wherever he is hired, because of his prison term, his employers are reluctant to hire him, but he is a good employee, although a problematic colleague.

Family: Mother=Eva Khatchadourian. She's alive. After Kevin committed a crime and she was left alone, their relationship became a little better than it was. His mother visited him in prison. After Eva's only family member was Kevin, his attitude towards her improved, and he also helps her around the house. To everyone in town, Kevin and Eva are a mysterious family.
