After a long, sweaty practice session at STARRY, the four members of Kessoku Band were sprawled out in the practice room, instruments put away and the amps finally quiet. Hitori was still fidgeting with the sleeve of her pink hoodie, Nijika was stretching her arms above her head with a tired smile, Ryo leaned back against the wall looking as unbothered as ever, and Kita was cheerfully wiping her forehead.
When the request came for them to show their feet, the room went quiet for a second.
Nijika blinked, then grinned. “Huh? Our feet? That’s a pretty random request… but okay, sure!” Kita’s eyes lit up as she quickly kicked off her shoes. “Oh! Like a post-practice feet check? Hehe, mine might still be a little warm!”
Ryo just smirked and shrugged, already peeling off her socks. “Whatever. Not like it’s a big deal.” Hitori turned bright red, looking anywhere but forward as she hesitantly removed her shoes. “M-my feet…? Um… i-if you really want to see them… okay…” One by one they lifted their bare feet, soles facing outward.
Hitori’s soft, slightly pink soles hovered closest on the left, toes curling shyly. “D-don’t stare too hard, please…” she mumbled. Next to her, Kita proudly presented her warmer, peach-toned soles with a bright smile. “Ta-da~! How do they look?”
Ryo held hers up casually, soles smooth and a little cooler-looking. “There. Happy now?” And on the far right, Nijika stretched her feet out with a playful wiggle of her toes. “Mine too! Still kinda warm from all that drumming, hehe.”
All four pairs of soles were right in front, still warm from practice, toes flexing a little as they waited.
