She went to university, at first intending to just live an ordinary human life, but then met a fledgling witch named Sara when she was eighteen and Sara twenty. After a few years of friendship, she became her familiar. She remained her familiar until Sara fell ill with Leukemia. Modern medicine and witchcraft medicine both failed, Sara died at age twenty-six so Kessie was twenty-four. Though the two were not romantically involved, Sara was cishet, Kessie loved her very much and viewed her as platonic soulmate (plus the mistress and familiar bond in of itself is very strong) so it broke her heart completely.

She could/can not shapeshift genitalia, much to her dismay, only go between three forms: full serval, her natural state where she’s humanoid but with some serval features, and full human. She’s in her humanoid form about 60% of the time, in her full serval form about 20% of the time and in her full human form about 20% of the time. She will NEVER entertain anyone’s fetishization, sexualization, zoophilic acts or thoughts about her full serval form. She happily slaughters zoophiles (and pedophiles for that matter).

She started puberty blockers at 13, HRT at 15, got an orchiectomy at 18 and then full bottom surgery at 22.

Familiars age more slowly than humans, and live longer, five human years is the equivalent to one year in their age timing. They experience time as any other living being does their bodies simply just do not age on time with humans. They will often have to fib about their ages around humans, especially in conservative company or countries. They are not immortal but are immune to most human diseases. Eventual old age or being killed is really the only way they can die.
