Keqing

Keqing is the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing and she uses the medium female model with fair skin. Her eyes are amethyst colored and feature oval shaped pupils that have a shape resembling her lightning stiletto behind them. She has waist length purple hair that turns silver purple at the ends and this hair is tied into twin tails topped by small odango style buns that resemble cat ears.

She prefers a dressing style that prioritizes practicality with only a minimum level of embellishment so as to improve work efficiency and she used to dress quite simple though close work with others has led to some changes in her approach. Her electro vision is carried on her person and she once tried to destroy it yet all attempts failed before she came to appreciate its uses. Keqing wields a sword and practices yunlai swordsmanship with her normal attacks consisting of up to five rapid strikes while her charged attack consumes stamina for two rapid sword strikes and her plunging attack strikes the ground below.

Her elemental skill is called stellar restoration and it involves hurling a lightning stiletto that annihilates opponents like swift thunder. When the stiletto hits it deals electro damage in a small area and places a stiletto mark on the spot. She can hold the skill to adjust direction and the stiletto thrown in hold mode can suspend in mid air allowing her to jump to it on a second use. Using the skill again or a charged attack clears the mark with different effects such as blinking to the mark for a slashing attack that deals area electro damage or igniting thundering cuts for area electro damage. The skill generates elemental particles when hitting enemies and the mark lasts five seconds. Her elemental burst is known as starward sword where she unleashes the power of lightning dealing electro damage in an area then blends into the shadow of her blade to strike multiple thunderclap blows simultaneously with the final attack dealing massive area electro damage.

Keqing unleashes her skill by throwing out a lightning stiletto and using it again causes her to swiftly travel to its position to deal electro damage. Holding allows direction adjustment. Her burst represents the otherworldly apex of her sword style and it seems to turn her into many streaks of arcing lightning that can bring even the celestial stars down to earth dealing multiple instances of electro damage with the final strike immense. After recasting her skill while a stiletto is present her weapon gains electro infusion for five seconds through her passive called thundering penance. When casting her burst her critical rate increases by fifteen percent and energy recharge by fifteen percent for eight seconds via aristocratic dignity. When dispatched on expeditions in liyue the time consumed reduces by twenty five percent.

Her personality shows her as a workaholic subject to pressure at a young age with a strong sense of responsibility and tenaciousness inherited from her grandfather. She is a great skeptic unlike most in liyue and believes humans should deal with their own problems. She has an uncompromising belief in actions over words and if she sees something needing doing she does it herself. For example she traveled around liyue and carefully memorized each detail of the land so that she may one day maximize the utility of every last inch. She cannot abide laziness or inefficiency and demands of herself to work ten times harder than the average person so as to become a role model. She is never able to synchronize her work rhythm with others and pulls out all stops to resolve tasks quickly with every relevant detail tied up making her seem highly efficient yet a perfectionist to observers. Assistants she hires rarely last past three months.

She once held radical views and advocated different opinions from rex lapis putting them into practice with stellar results though this attracted murmurings among devotees. She sees such opposition as excuses of those grown complacent under a deity who cannot consider humanitys future. In teyvat she questions how long the status quo can last and drives herself relentlessly because of it. After the lord of geo retired and passed duties to the qixing she gained new respect for rex lapis realizing the magnitude of his work and in her self reflection which hides this respect she keeps memorabilia of him. She views liyue present prosperity as a magnificent sandcastle on the beach where humanity cannot decide when the tide comes in and she cannot sit idly ignoring this hidden danger. She believes if humans really have no value then why should gods care so much and she retorts against lazy cowardly perspectives that deny value in human existence. Her motto centers on if one feels strongly about something one should speak up and take action and she lives by never putting off until tomorrow what can be done today because nothing exists independently and dragging heels causes chaos for connected issues. She is an impatient person who cannot stand procrastinating.

Keqing introduces herself as the yuheng of the liyue qixing noting that we live in an era of change as the old order that has existed for a thousand years is about to be rewritten and she invites others to join her in bearing witness to this historical moment together. When it rains she remarks quite a downpour and nothing will get done until it clears so let this be a lesson to those who said yesterday they would do it tomorrow. When thunder strikes she says thunder and lightning can be quite frightening but do not worry as liyues storm and fire defenses are second to none. When it snows she notes do not worry as snowfall on this scale is no impediment and we can keep moving. When the sun is out she says ah the sun is out and our work is done for the day so shall we take a stroll.

In the morning she greets with morning and states time to set the tone for the rest of the day so if one is still feeling sleepy shake it off. In the afternoon she says she is not in the habit of napping at noon but that should not stop others if tired and she will give a wake up call in say three minutes time. In the evening she observes the lights are coming on now that night is setting in and yawns noting another delightful day draws to a close. At night she says sleep well though for herself she still has a handful of things on her to do list but will call it a night once done.

About herself she explains if one feels strongly one should speak up and take action as that is the philosophy she lives by. Nothing exists independently and there is nothing one can do to change that so when dragging heels on one thing one causes chaos for a whole bunch of other connected issues too and that is why she firmly believes one should never put off until tomorrow what can be done today. She is very impatient and cannot stand procrastinating so that is also part of it. She asks never to mince words with her as yuheng is just a title and she will not have others treading on eggshells around her just because of status but to say what is on the mind always as that makes one unique and it is the thing she admires most.

The time has come for humanity to make its mark in the land of the geo arcon and it was quite an ambitious statement after all yet she wants one to promise to come and visit when the new liyue harbor is born as she will show one around and after all the help one deserves to see liyue reborn with own eyes since she owes that much. She likes one because one does not believe something just because a god said it but makes up own mind asks questions others are too cowardly to ask and when no answer keeps looking till finding one and ones way is definitely the right way since who says gods do not make mistakes anyway.

She says it is not difficult one will see just give it a try and what if it does not work out but she does not believe that will happen as one has never let her down before and does not seem the type. She used to be so naive believing she was on a par with rex lapis and seems she really overestimated herself yet now agrees she has plenty of self confidence in other areas so why not in this and she can catch up with him she will catch up just needs to keep chin up keep trying and keep learning. If a vision means approval of the gods then she does not see why she should want one and in fact finds it quite insulting as it is like saying everything she has achieved is thanks to gods looking out for her but she got to where she is today through hard work and the gods had nothing to do with it.

Now she reflects that rex lapis wanted her to have power beyond the average mortal so she can be a great leader and she likes to think she would do an admirable job even without his blessing so she will show him and not give him any reason to be disappointed with her. The gentleman from the wangsheng funeral parlor is clearly an extremely learned individual and she has a lot of respect for him but his mindset is too traditional for her as he thinks in the same tired old terms as rex lapis did and if he were more of an original thinker she is sure he would be a great asset in reaching her objectives. That captain is always flouting the rules and her personality really rubs people the wrong way but the crux fleet is indispensable to liyue harbor and it is a bit of an art knowing when to enforce rules and when it is in everyones interests to be more lenient though the tianquan is supposed to be the one enforcing rules but she always seems too busy.

She works together with ningguang but they could not be more opposite personality wise as to her liyue harbor is nothing more than a marketplace and she will do anything as long as it makes money and does she have any principles or maybe turning a profit is her principle. Since rex lapis left they have found some common ground and she was quite judgmental in the past with fundamental disagreements yet in the current climate she counts her as a comrade in arms. She does not mind trifling matters with ningguang now.

Keqing may be uptight and intimidating but she respects and cares for each of her companions close to her though it is only because of her outward image that she is unable to express how she truly feels. Shopping is a favorite pastime and she often spends free time with friends in this sort of activity. She has observed that if one drags heels it causes issues across connected matters and she relies on her own power and ability instead of letting gods determine fate.
