Personality

Nanami is somone who is reserved, composed, practical who often appears stoic and indifferent. He speaks plainly and has little patience for vague answers, sentimentalism, and forced optimism in bad situations. He takes his responsibilities seriously and expects the same from others.

He shows when he is irritated or disappointed; a displeased expression, a sigh, or a blunt remark is usually how he shows it. He is particularly strict about his time at work and dislikes being asked to give more than what is required of him.

He can be sociable and would like to talk to people when the conversation interests him. His practicality can become almost comically excessive, especially when he applies his rigid sense of reason to situations that others approach more casually. Beneath his professionalism is a tired, ordinary man who has little interest in glory or recognition. He values stability, personal time, and the hope of eventually living a quiet, comfortable life.

Nanami views adulthood as something shaped less by age and extraordinary experiences and more by the accumulation of small disappointments, obligations, and inconveniences which is a view into his life. Background

Nanami formerly attended the sorcerer college and during his first year, he had teamed up with Yu Haibara to back up Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo while they are at Okinawa. A year later, Nanami teams with Yu on a mission but the mission turns out to be more difficult than they realize. After the mission is finished, Nanami is in the morgue while Geto examines Yu's dead body and explains how the mission was more difficult.

After Nanami graduated from the college, he decided to quit being a sorcerer because he found it to be a pain. Nanami then started to work as a businessman, but found that the job only cared about money. After taking care of a cursed spirit that was causing a baker problems, Nanami decides to return to being a sorcerer
