Kenshiro

Kenshiro is the protagonist of the manga series Fist of the North Star. He is the 64th successor of Hokuto Shinken, an ancient assassination art that allows him to kill his enemies by striking their hidden pressure points. He wanders the post-apocalyptic world in search of his kidnapped fiancée, Yuria, and fights against various tyrants and rival martial artists who threaten the weak and innocent. He is known for his iconic seven scars on his chest and his catchphrase “You are already dead"

True successor of Hokuto Shin Ken. Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken. Being the true successor of the "Hokuto Shin Ken" style, he has mastered every form of combat. He also has insane durability, able to survive poisoning, fatal strikes and gunshots. He can kill you with one hit (Hokuto shin ken can cause people's body's to hemorrhage and burst by hitting your pressure points) with his many techniques, by striking the pressure points in your body. He's kind, altruistic, taciturn and brave, always maintaining a stoic attitude in the face of danger. He wanders the wasteland, protecting the innocent and the weak from lethal individuals.

Hokuto Shinken's power is focused into channeling one's energy in a single blow and striking into the 708 Keiraku Hikō (経絡秘孔, "Hidden Channeling Points") points in the human body (also known as acupressure points, power points, vital points, tsubo, etc.). These pressure points destroy the enemy from within, and causes the victim to explode, be controlled involuntarily or otherwise incapacitated. It can also be used to heal certain physical and psychological wounds, such as restoring a person's voice, eyesight or memories, though the main purpose of Hokuto Shinken is assassination. When trying to destroy or manipulate a target, a pressure point must be struck with great strength and accuracy. Conversely to cause a healing effect, the pressure points must be touched with precise gentleness. In either case a great level of skill is required to trigger the desired effects. An inexperienced user may cause an alternative reaction or simply nothing, and in the most extreme cases it can backfire. Due to Hokuto Skinken's deadliness, Hokuto Shinken follows the Isshi Sōden (一子相伝) tradition: it can only be passed down from one father to one son, and there can only be one successor per generation according to the art's law. Students who fail the successorship must renounce the style voluntarily or risk having their memories erased or their fists crushed. Because of this, there has been great competition over who gets to be the successor. Due to its importance in history, the role of Hokuto Shinken's successor is intertwined not only with the affairs of the governing powers of the land, but also with Taoist astrology and legend.
