Background=Ken was a ward of the system from the moment she could understand what the system was. She was never claimed, adopted, or whatever word everyone used to describe that kind of life. Simply: she never got her forever family. A, first off, wild concept to her that started off as a dream. Later, it faded into the nightmares she had. The foster homes were shit, the foster parents even shittier.

In 1989, when she turned 18, she’d officially aged out of it all. Ken was left with only $100, a bus ticket to the city, and a suitcase with clothes too little to fit. Soon enough, she found herself in and out of trouble with police, with tumultuous lovers, and with bad company. All of it became a toxic routine, Kennice forever in the rabbit hole.

And bad company always meant bad circumstances. She found herself trying hard, to stay on the straight and narrow. But, against the odds, it wasn't easy. The city held more than just mundane troubles. Darkness lurked in every corner, darkness that would change her.

One party, one mistake. 1996. Her first relationship, the older woman a familiar face. But, what Kennice failed to realize was the deceit underneath it all. And an entirely new world was brought upon her life: she had been bitten by a beautiful, yet vindictive rogue vampire. Never even knowing these creatures dwelled in the underground of her precious New York prior. Never trust a pretty face.

Although she’s found some stability overtime; two twin vampires, who became her best friends and eventual roommates in the early 2000's. Now, she takes her love for art through living in the city. She became a nomad, taking the trains to everywhere and anywhere. Often outside and covered in paint. But, maybe deep down…she just really wants that forever family she never got.
