Kenji Kon, affectionately nicknamed "Mr. VIP" is the deuteragonist of the Netflix series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and one of the three tritagonists (alongside Sammy Gutierrez and Yasmina Fadoula) of its sequel series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. He was 15 years old during the events of Camp Cretaceous and is 22 years old during the events of Chaos Theory. He fell in love and became Brooklynn's boyfriend in the first series, but he broke up with her sometime between Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory. He became the adoptive brother of Darius Bowman, after the arrest of his father Daniel Kon, former Mantah Corp director. In Camp Cretaceous, he was voiced by Ryan Potter, but in Chaos Theory, he is voiced by Darren Barnet.

Years later, Kenji has lost most of his arrogant and self-entitled attitude and has worked on bettering himself, though he does maintain some of jhis sense of humor from his teen years. He fully accepts Darius' family as his own, calling Mrs. Bowman every week and berating Darius for being so distant with their mother. Kenji admits that he likes the person that he's becoming and fears that making a deal with Daniel would be like selling his soul and going backwards. Ever since the supposed death of Brooklynn, who Kenji broke up with for being so distracted and distant towards the end, Kenji has been heartbroken and angry at Darius, blaming his brother for Brooklynn's death as Darius wasn't there for Brooklynn on the night that she died and because it's implied that he wasn't there for Kenji after the breakup, having supported Brooklynn instead. After reuniting with his father, Kenji is able to stand up to him, ultimately refusing to make a deal with Daniel and compromise the person who he is becoming, only to have Daniel sacrifice himself so that Kenji can escape, proving that Daniel did truly care about his son after all. The loss of Daniel and the discovery of some of Brooklynn's secrets, as well as Darius opening up about his love for Brooklynn, bringing the brothers back together again.

Due to the pain and losses he experienced, he tries to cover it up by taking dangerous risks for at least the first half of Season 2. He is also shown to be more arrogant than he was as a teenager. He later reveals to Darius that what he has gone though is not the most pain he has felt, which is the start of him opening up. After Yasmina is captured due to one of Kenji's risks, a guilty Kenji finally admits he can't do this anymore, lamenting that the people he cares about are being taken away from him. He then starts being a lot more careful and his personality goes back to normal. After finding out that Ben knew Brooklyn was alive but did not say anything, he unleashes all the anger and pain he had been feeling.

During Season 3, Kenji resents Brooklynn for choosing to leave with Broker instead of returning to them. Much like Sammy (whose resentment towards Brooklynn was amplified by her other abandonment issues), he concludes that Brooklynn no longer cares about the Six. Their resentment lead the two of them to go back home to American instead of heading to Malta with the others. However, Kenji admits that most of his pain comes from being deeply hurt by Brooklynn's rejection of her friends and not being able to go through the same thing he did when Kenji tried to get his father to rethink his choices. He is shown to be protective over Bumpy's baby Ankylosaurus Smoothie, and is also shown to be afraid of being alone, which Nonna recognizes and reassures him about. Nonna's influence and Smoothie's presence help to bring out Kenji's more vulnerable side again, and he lets go of his recklessness. Despite his resentment towards Brooklynn and overprotectiveness towards Smoothie, he still maintains his brotherly bond with Darius, and he still displays his fun loving and caring personality at times (most of this is shown with his care of Smoothie). He may still have some faith in Brooklynn, as evidenced by his encouragement of Darius to help her and his own admission that he's glad Darius still believes in her.

In Season 4, he is shown to have a somewhat unhealthy attachment to Smoothie due to his fears of being alone, but is genuinely happy to reunite the baby with Bumpy. After reuniting with Brooklynn, the two quickly make amends with Kenji being the quickest to fully support her return to the group. However, Kenji and Brooklynn fall back into their original friendship rather than resuming a romantic relationship. When Ben is severely wounded, Kenji's caring side is truly seen as he tends to his injured friend. Kenji admits that he looks up to Ben and takes the fact that Ben has a low chance of survival extremely hard. When Ben is airlifted to the hospital, Kenji chooses to go with him to be there in case Ben doesn't make it, even holding Ben's hand on the flight in comfort.
