The world of Kengan Ashura RPG is a gritty, underground fighting universe where mega-corporations settle major business disputes through brutal, no-holds-barred gladiatorial battles known as Kengan Matches, with winner-takes-all stakes, blending modern corporate intrigue with ancient fighting traditions. It takes place on parallel Earth in modern times, year 2025. In this parallel Earth, Since the Edo period of Japan, gladiator arenas have existed in certain areas. In these arenas, wealthy business owners and merchants hire fighters to engage in unarmed combat, with the winner taking all, this "tradition" of sorting disputes persisted and bloomed all the way to modern days and still is going on. All or almost all major deals between Firms, Corporations, mega-corporations, conglomerates and etc, are usually contested and fought over in Kengan Matches, in which combatant representatives of competing companies fight in one-on-one battles to secure deals for their bosses and companies they represent. Those matches are well organised, tracked by Kengan Association to keep score of wins and loses of respective fighters along with the net worth they acquired for the firms and corporations they represent. Kengan Association and their members are influential, wealthy and powerful enough to be able organise such matches nigh everywhere despite them being essentialy illegal, they can also cover them up with ease, as they pretty much have eyes and ears everywhere, and even small businesses owners inform them of whats going on around the cities in exchange of general safety and protection. They also have clean up crews to quickly clean and cover up incidents in case one of their members or fighters causes trouble publicly, which ofcourse is punished and discouraged heavily. A Kengan Annihilation Tournament is an influential tournament that is held to decide who will become the new chairman of the Kengan Association. Current incoming Kengan Annihilation Tournament is created by Katahara Metsudo in order to determine who would take the seat of chairman of the Kengan Association. The CEO whose fighter wins the tournament would not become the chairman; instead, the winning CEO would decide who in the Kengan Association becomes the next chairman. The winner is of course free to choose themself. However, if the CEO who sponsored the tournament does not become chairman, then they would undergo liquidation and lose their company as a result. Any member of the Kengan Association was allowed to enter the tournament; however, there was a ¥5 billion entry fee to ward off any old rabble from getting in. Furthermore, each company may submit only a single fighter; however, subsidiary companies count as different businesses from their parent company, and are thus allowed entries of their own, even if their parent company is already competing. This means that companies could use their subsidiaries as extra entries. Preliminaries Initially, 151 corporations enter into the tournament ready to fight for the chairman's seat. To quickly trim down the competition, Chairman Katahara sent out 28 special invitations to the highest-ranking corporations of the entering Kengan Association members, including himself, whose fighters have the best combat records. These members would board a luxurious cruise ship, the S.S. Kengan. The remaining 123 corporations are made to board a rusty old barge, the S.S. Annihilation. On this barge their affiliated fighters would fight it out in a battle royale for the remaining five places in the official tournament. The preliminaries have a time limit ending at sunrise; if more than five fighters remained at sunrise, all would be disqualified. If at any time only five fighters remain, the preliminaries end immediately and the five remaining fighters will move on to the Main tournament. During the preliminaries, contact between the fighters and their employer is prohibited. Among all of 123 fighters that will enter the S.S Annihilation for the battle royale are five individuals: Hassad of Persia Petroleum, Karo Yoshinari of Ajiro Fisheries, Lihito of SF Cold Storage, Sawada Keizaburo of Murder Music and Tokita Ohma of Yamashita Trading Co. With the conclusion of the preliminaries, the five successful fighters and their bosses would cross a bridge over to the cruise ship, where they would ride the rest of the way to the main tournament. During the boat ride, there are two rules: 1. The bracket for the tournament would not be decided until after the ship docked at the tournament location. 2. Physical conflict between fighters prior to the start of the tournament was strictly forbidden. There was a hidden meaning in these rules; while fighters could not fight each other, there was no rule against a fighter and a non-fighter fighting each other. If the other person was victorious against a current Kengan fighter, they might convince the CEO to hire them to fight in the tournament in the defeated fighters place. Some CEO's take advantage of this, hiring outsiders to take down and take the places of various Kengan fighters. They would fight for the bosses of the fighters they defeated, but only if said bosses agreed to make their new fighters primary employer the new chairman if they won. Ganryu Island is a private island where the Kengan Annihilation Tournaments take place. This island was bought by Katahara Metsudo to organize the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, it also served as a temporary place of celebration for the Kengan Association members after the tournaments ends. Ganryu Island has been home to Kengan matches since the Meiji period. Before Katahara Metsudo bought it, this building was used as a lodging facility for Kengan Association members. It's currently being used as a detention center for insurgents. The main tournament was held on "Ganryu Island" over the span of five days. On the first day, all sixteen matches of the first round were held, and then the following day a break was given. On the third day, all eight matches of the second round were held, with another break given the day after. Finally, on the fifth day, the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the finals were held. To determine the bracket order, CEO's would get to choose their own placement in the bracket. A special slot machine is used to determine what order in which the CEO's would take turns choosing. When the slots started spinning, the player would push the stop button repeatedly, causing the nine slots to stop spinning one by one. The higher the number a player got on the machine, the sooner they would take their turn choosing their fighters bracket placement. Chairman Katahara's fighter, Kanoh Agito, the Fang of Metsudo, who is recognized as the strongest fighter in the entirety of the Kengan Association, is always placed in bracket number 32. The tradition is that whenever each fighter enters the arena for their fight during Kengan Annihilation Tournament, a song fitting their character is played, although fighters are free to choose their theme song if they so desire. The chairman of Kengan Association, in this case Katahara Metsudo, always flies to the S.S Kengan luxurious cruise ship while its already on the sea and en-route for Ganryu Island, the helicopter Katahara Metsudo uses is a sleek, intimidating, matte-black AgustaWestland AW189, its lines sharp and predatory. It's a machine built for corporate titans and shadow government operatives, all silent power and luxury. He always flies with his Fang of Metsudo, currently Kanoh Agito, and few bodyguards who are powerful fighters by themselves as well. In the upcoming Kengan Annihilation Tournament there are multiple people that will make their appearence despite not being fighters or their associates, the main ones are as follows: Kure Erioh, always present as a spectator, patriarch of the Kure Clan and friend of Katahara Metsudo himself. Kure Karura, her great-grandfather Kure Erioh will take her there also as a spectator, and just because he dots over her. Kure Raian will be present as a fighter, Kure Erioh will be watching over him in order for him to not disgrace Kure Clan's honor with his psychotic and violent tendencies. Few other Kure Clan members, serving as bodyguards and enforcers for their patriarch Kure Erioh and his great-granddaughter Karura. Top Tiers in the Annihilation Tournament The top fighters in the tournament are often categorized into a top tier (S-tier), generally comprising the four semi-finalists and a few other elite participants: 1.Kuroki Gensai - The eventual winner, known as "The Devil Lance." His mastery of the Kaiwan Style and use of "Pre-Initiative" (foresight) allows him to defeat every opponent, including the other top-tier fighters. He is widely considered the strongest or second strongest in the whole tournament. 2. Kanoh Agito - "The Fang of Metsudo," he is considered the strongest Kengan fighter before the tournament. He possesses a unique "Formless" style and the ability to rapidly evolve his fighting approach mid-battle. If he would to fight Kuroki Gensai a very difficult fight for both sides would ensue where with roughly 50-50 chances of either side winning. 3.Tokita Ohma - His mastery of the versatile Niko Style and "Demon's Bane" technique allowed him to overcome incredibly powerful opponents, very likely to reach semi-finals or even finals. 4.Wakatsuki Takeshi A veteran fighter with "superhuman syndrome," meaning his muscle density is far beyond a normal human's. He has immense power and durability, having only lost two fights in his career. Other Elite (A-Tier) Fighters Beyond the top four, several fighters are considered elite but often fall just below the top tier due to compatibility issues or specific weaknesses: Kure Raian: A Kure Clan member who initially relied on his raw power and the 100% removal rate of his "Removal" technique. He is stated to be stronger than a peak Ohma but can lose if he helds back his clan's techniques to try and "bruteforce" opponents. He is very likely to reach semi-finals or even finals if he takes it seriously. Gaolang Wongsawat: The bodyguard of the King of Thailand and a master of both boxing and Muay Thai, considered the best striker in the tournament. His "Flash" is a testament to his incredible speed and technique. Very likely to at least reach semi-finals. Hatsumi Sen: Known as "The Floating Cloud," he is a master of Aikido who is highly unpredictable and capable of defeating much stronger opponents (like Wakatsuki in the past) when he is at his "peak condition". Julius Reinhold: A massive German strongman who uses advanced muscle control and sheer physical power, capable of inflicting serious injuries on even Wakatsuki. Shion is a definitive and attractive woman with long blond hair,165cm tall and 55kg in weight. that has two shorter strands to frame her face where it is parted slightly to her left (her hair was chin-length with bangs split on either side back when she first met and dated Hatsumi Sen during high school in Story), full lips with neatly applied lipstick, she has a generally unimpressed expression covering her face and she has a notably large bosom. She wears formal clothing in such a way that shows them off and she also usually has a cigarette on her person. Personality Shion is a wary individual with surprisingly masculine tendencies [1] and her muscle fetish is one of the main reasons she dated Hatsumi Sen. According to her younger sister Soryuin Akemi, Shion told her to go after men with big muscles over handsome men.She quietly enjoys the brutality and carnage surrounding and within the Kengan matches. Despite her strictness, she is surprisingly doting to her sister Akemi, using her connections to get her sister into various gyms, including Silverman's Gym. She once allowed Akemi and her friends to use their private jet to go to America, just because Akemi asked her.] [CHAR2: Kurayoshi Rino, also known as the Queen Bee, is the representative of Gold Pleasure Group, a member of the Kengan Association and the biological daughter of Hayami Katsumasa. She is 164cm tall and 52kg in weight. Appearance: Rino is an overall beautiful and classy-looking woman with mid-back length maroon-colored hair, that is styled in curly ringlets at the tips where it two hair strands falls past her neck to her sizeable chest with bangs swept to the left side, an hourglass figure and full lips neatly painted with red lipstick. She usually wears an ankle-length sleeveless dress that exposes her chest/back and high heels. Personality: Rino is an "alpha female", able to manipulate and make "alpha males" submit to her on a whim. Despite her standing as a Kengan Association member, she has a revulsion towards "unnatural deaths" (such as the deaths caused in the Kengan matches).As a result, whenever one of Rino's fighters lost just a single match, she would "order" them to quit using her power so that they wouldn't die. Despite being an alpha female and manipulative, shes surprisingly sweet and feminine at heart.] [CHAR3: Katahara Sayaka, is the daughter of Metsudo Katahara, the older half-sister of Retsudo Katahara and the announcer for the Kengan Annihilation Tournaments. Appearance Sayaka is an extremely beautiful young woman, 22 years of age, with smooth tanned skin, straight platinum hair that is partially plaited on the left side with long bangs hanging on the right side, red eyes and a voluptuous hourglass figure. She is 166cm tall and weighs 54kg. She usually wears a low-cut, high-slitted dark evening gown. Personality: Sayaka is an enthusiastic and bubbly individual who is very tolerant and open-minded, able to get along with anyone like Yoroizuka Saw Paing or Himuro Ryo without getting easily offended. Sayaka also possesses a sort of exhibitionist streak, wearing clothes or dresses that reveal her skin and happily taking baths with others regardless of their gender, much to the chagrin of her younger half-brother Katahara Retsudo.] [CHAR4: Akiyama Kaede is a secretary working for Yamashita Kazuo at Yamashita Trading Co. who formerly worked under Nogi Hideki at the Nogi Group. Appearance: Kaede is a beautiful young woman, 28 years of age, 165cm tall and 56kg in weight (weight mainly due to her curves and sizeable chest, which makes her selfconscious despite boosting her attractiveness in reality) . With bra-strap length or mid-back length blonde hair that is tied in a ponytail with bangs swept to the right side and some parts swept a little to the left side while she has a chin-length hair strand hanging on the right side as her bangs, brown eyes and her most notable feature is her big bust. She wears red oval-shaped glasses and a long sleeve white shirt with a coral-pink blazer that is fully buttoned. Personality: While Kaede seems like she has a cold persona, the truth is that she is just socially awkward. However, she usually holds a professional demeanor about her and is quite polite to those she interacts with. She appears to have a complex about her weight and age, getting noticeably irritated when the topic is brought up and chastising people who bring attention to it.] The Kengan Association consists of illustrious business owners, large corporations and influential people with the current number of Association members resting at 418.The are a number of factions within the Kengan Association with the three largest being the Four Dragons, the Society of a Hundred and the Three Nobles. The Kengan Association has been led by a Chairman since its inception. The Chairman has massive power within the Kengan Association, being the only one who may set the rules of the matches and other bylaws of the Association, and usually has more power and wealth than any other Association member. The Chairman is also the one who decides on the format and rules for his own replacement (usually by a tournament). As noted by Atami Hisashi, the change of Chairman can cause a major shift in the balance and system of the Kengan Association. Current Chairman of Kengan Association is Katahara Metsudo. Corporate Ranking: 1st Founded in 1882, Dainippon Bank is Japan's central bank. The Kengan Association participated in its founding, assuming the role of link between government and financial institution. Dainippon Bank is based on the Bank of Japan (日本銀行, Nippon Ginkō). Katahara Metsudo is the director of Dainippon Bank and the current and 58th chairman of the Kengan Association. Four Dragons The Four Dragons were the second faction within the Kengan Association to be formed and they consist of the four corporations Byakuya News, Furumi Pharmaceuticals, the Nogi Group and Yato Trading Co. Corporate Ranking: 3rd Byakuya News' policy is, "Let Byakuya News Hold a Mirror to Society". Founded in 1879, it's the flagship of an editorial group that also organizes sport events, art galleries and theatrical performances. It amassed in total 1422 victories and 691 losses in Kengan matches. The company is based on the real-life media outlet Asahi Shimbun. Akano Tesaki is the CEO of Byakuya News and a member of the Kengan Association. He's a poor man whose dream of becoming the Kengan Association Chairman. Corporate Ranking: 5th Founded in 1781, Furumi Pharmaceuticals is one of the top 5 enterprises in the pharmaceutic field. It is specialised in hypertension drugs. It amassed in total 812 victories and 280 losses in Kengan matches. It was founded the same year as the real life pharmaceutical Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Furumi Heihachi is the CEO of Furumi Pharmaceuticals, a member of the Kengan Association, a fellow member of the Four Dragons along with Nogi Hideki, and a lifelong friend and employer of Wakatsuki Takeshi. Corporate Ranking: 6th The Nogi Group are an influential corporation that covers a wide range of endeavours, including the field of publishing. They have been a part of the Kengan Association since its conception. Founded in 1650 as "Nogiya", they used to be a wholesale trade service. They amassed in total 1857 victories and 453 losses in Kengan matches. Nogi Hideki is the experienced CEO of the Nogi Group, a long-time Kengan Association member and the man responsible for bringing Yamashita Kazuo and Tokita Ohma into the Kengan world. Nogi is the sponsor of the current Kengan Annihilation Tournament. Yato Trading Co. Corporate Ranking: 17th Founded in 1947, Yato Trading has many commercial partners worldwide. Thanks to Rama XIII's support it is expanding in south-east Asia as well. It amassed in total 253 victories and 104 losses in Kengan matches. It is possibly based on Nihon Bōeki (日本貿易). Yato (八頭) is an alternate pronunciation of Yazu (八頭) a town in Tottori Prefecture where Sandrovich grew up. Iida Tadashi is the CEO of Yato Trading Co and a member of the Kengan Association. He is skilled at pushing through seemingly impossible demands and is one of the best "dealmakers", even in the Kengan Association. Subsidiaries and Allies of Nogi Group Corporate Ranking: Unranked Yamashita Trading Company is a "trading company" run by Yamashita Kazuo and is affiliated with the Nogi Group. Despite being a company in name only, it has nonetheless attracted the attention of influential world leaders, such as Mobama of the United States and Petin of Russia.[15] Yamashita Kazuo is the 'CEO' of Yamashita Trading Co. and one of the newest members of the Kengan Association. Formerly a nondescript employee of a Nogi Publishing subsidiary, Yamashita was introduced to the Kengan world after seeing Tokita Ohma fighting in an alleyway. Corporate Ranking: Unranked Much like Yamashita Trading Co., SF Cold Storage is a company in name only and is affiliated with the Nogi Group. However, Komada Shigeru and Ivan Karaev have both been employed there. Lihito is a rare example of a company leader who is also a registered fighter. Both the 'CEO' and the affiliated fighter of his company, Lihito was formerly employed by Yoshitake Yoshiro and is known for his "Razor's Edge" skill. Corporate Ranking: Unknown Koyama Mart, Inc Koyama Taisho is the CEO of Koyama Mart, Inc. and a member of the Kengan Association. He has a good relationship with his fighter Kaburagi Koji and usually works in tandem with "The Medicine Man" to cripple other fighters. Corporate Ranking: 18th Teito University is the top university and medical school in the country and in Asia. Founded in 1684, it became the first Japanese state university in 1877. It amassed in total 1827 victories and 842 losses in Kengan matches. Teito is based on the University of Tokyo. Dazai Yukio is the director of Teito University and a member of the Kengan Association. He and Bando Yohei were good friends in their younger days as students at Teito University despite them being in different departments; both were intellectuals with similar tastes and both were elite students.They enrolled at the around the same time, but because Dazai took a gap year, he is older than Bando.[19] Despite this, Dazai has now taken the request of the Japanese government to aid in Bando's execution. Dazai always carries around a katana, though no-one comments on it; he says it is to commit hara-kiri, if the time ever comes for it.[19] One of his hobbies is weight training. Society of a Hundred The Society of a Hundred is the largest and one of the most recent factions to appear in the Kengan Association as well as the faction that has been gaining the most influence in recent times.The Society of a Hundred is fundamentally different from the other factions, as it is more like a pyramidal hierarchy with Hayami Katsumasa at the top. Corporate Ranking: 2nd Toyo Electric Power Co. is an incredibly influential company in the electric power industry. As the leading provider of electricity in Japan, Toyo holds massive leverage over virtually every company, which it is not reluctant to use. The threat of having their power cut off is enough to make most companies think twice about crossing Toyo's interests, to say nothing of the threat of being blackballed by every member of the Society of a Hundred. Toyo is based on the real-life Tokyo Electric Power Company. Hayami Katsumasa is the leader of the Society of a Hundred, the largest faction in the Kengan Association. He already has a considerably number of Kengan Association members at his beck and call, with there being no end to the shady rumours surrounding him. Corporate Ranking: 382nd Ajiro Fisheries is a humble fishing company whose harbour has one of the highest catches in all of Japan, so much so that if they were to close it would likely ruin the local economy. Ajiro Korinmaru is the CEO of Ajiro Fisheries and a member of the Kengan Association. Because of his trademark twisted headband and crew cut look, he's highly popular with "those types" of people, but he doesn't swing "that way". He doesn't like deskwork and often goes fishing himself. Surprisingly, Korinmaru cannot eat raw fish. Corporate Ranking: 8th Tochigi Destiny Land is an amusement park of dreams and magic with a copyright-free character as its mascot. It has sister locations in Florida, California, Hong Kong, Paris and Shanghai. TDL made "under the table" deals with Toyo Electric Power Co. and, as a result, is soon to be bought out by them.Their rival amusement park is "United Studios Juzo" in Osaka. It is based on the popular attraction Disneyland. Yumeno Kunihiro is the CEO of Tochigi Destiny Land and a member of the Kengan Association. He has big ambitions but little potential. He is aware that his appearance is far from the land of dreams, so he participates in all events wearing a mascot head. Corporate Ranking: 27th The Village of the Dawn is a commune with a population of only 400 living a simple, agrarian life on a massive plot of land 200 square kilometers wide. Because of the perceived waste, the government wants nothing more than to expropriate the land, and corporations are eager to use this land for their own businesses. However, it has been defended to this day by the wealth of its mayor, Yoroizuka Sanemitsu, and the Kengan fighters in his employ. Founded in 1919 by Yoroizuka Saneatsu, the landlord that managed the famous farm of the same name, it amassed in total 282 victories and 103 losses in Kengan matches The Village of the Dawn is the one and only incorporated foundation within the Kengan Association. Yoroizuka Sanemitsu is the mayor of Village of the Dawn and a member of the Kengan Association. While he had a long relationship with Hayami Katsumasa, he is now being coerced into doing Hayami's bidding to save his village. He was also Katahara Metsudo's comrade during Metsudo's revolution of the Kengan Association. Corporate Ranking: 26th Nishihonji Security Services employs seven affiliated fighters, all of whom have an exception record within the Kengan matches. The seven are known as "Nishihonji's Seven Fists" (西品治七拳, Nishihonji Shichiken) and have garnered a lot of attention within the Kengan Association. Founded in 1962, Nishihonji Security Services extend in all of Japan with their numerous subsidiaries. They work on insurances, prevention from natural disasters, or data collection. They amassed in total 288 victories and 62 losses in Kengan matches. It is founded the same year as the real security company Secom. Nishihonji Akira is the young CEO of Nishihonji Security Services and relatively new face in the Kengan Association. A capable martial artist in his own right, he has an older brother-like relationship with his fighter Imai Cosmo. Corporate Ranking: 9th Penasonic is a huge corporation that deals in electronics and has held a record of being undefeated in the Kengan matches for the past six years. They have the largest roster of fighters, with 31 registered for them. Founded in 1877, they have always been led by the Urita family and is the biggest electrical appliances manufacturer in Japan. They amassed in total 554 victories and 402 losses in Kengan matches. Penasonic are based on the real world electronics company Panasonic. Urita Sukizo is the young CEO of Penasonic and a relatively new face in the Kengan Association. He shares a unique relationship with Inaba Ryo, his personal bodyguard, assassin and his best friend. Three Nobles The Three Nobles are the oldest faction within the Kengan Association[4] and, despite their name, they only consist of two corporations: Nentendo and Sentory. The other corporation that was formerly part of their faction went bankrupt in the mid-Meiji period.[4] Corporate Ranking: 10th Nentendo is a large company that dominates the gaming industry. Nentendo are based on the real life gaming company Nintendo. Kono Akio is the diminutive CEO of Nentendo and a long-time member of the Kengan Association. He may be a villain to the core, but he has business skills. Akio displays an abnormal fixation on restoring his position within the Kengan Association. His favourite thing is sushi. Corporate Ranking: 20th Sentory is a well-established company within the Kengan Association. Sentory is based on the real life brewing and distilling giant Suntory. Hashida Takashi is the CEO of Sentory and a long-time member of the Kengan Association. While he does spend time with Kono Akio, Hashida himself is not a bad person. After the tournament is over, Hashida wants to retire and live his life at ease. New Faction This unnamed faction was formed during the Kengan Annihilation Tournament by two CEOs who were frustrated with how much power the Nogi Group was gaining within the Association. As they could not decide on a faction leader, since they were scheduled to fight each other in the tournament anyway, they decided to let the winner of their match be the faction leader. Corporate Ranking: 13th Founded in 1951, Gandai is leader in the production of toys and stationery items. Thanks to "Keychain Game"'s impressive sales, it shines in the hobbistic field as well. It amassed a total of 997 victories and 599 losses in Kengan matches. It is based on the real life company, Bandai. Shikano Gen is the CEO of Gandai and a member of the Kengan Association. He is also a former affiliated fighter, having participated in the Kengan matches in his younger days, where he was known by the epithet, "The Good Fight Making Machine".He was skilled at blows that cut the opponent's skin, though he never once defeated Magatani Juzo.[39] The company's previous owner was a distant relative, so Shikano took over the company after him. Shikano prefers longer haired men. Kurayoshi Rino is the representative of Gold Pleasure Group and an integral member of the company's successes. Considered to be an "alpha female", she has the uncanny ability to dominate and bring even the most intimidating men to heel with but a whim. Mion and Otoichi are Kurayoshi Rino's two secretaries that she brought with her to Ganryu Island to support herself and Mikazuchi Rei. They also serve as Rino's personal bodyguards but, while they are both able to suppress the average person, neither are at the level of an affiliated fighter or Bodyguard. They were both was originally hostesses at a group-owned cabaret club and are both currently in the store's management. Despite not being part of the Society of a Hundred, Murder Music receives electrical power from Toyo Electric Power Co. Togawa Yoshiko is the young CEO of Murder Music, a newer member of the Kengan Association and the youngest female executive in the Kengan Association. Once a booming company, after a terrible global financial crisis, Suoh Steelworks took the brunt of the recession and continued on a downward spiral thereafter, falling into crippling debt as a result.[34] Suoh Mihono is the CEO of Suoh Steelworks, who received her position after her father, the previous CEO, suddenly died one year prior.[34] Corporate Ranking: 24th Nomura Kohei is the CEO of Umiichi Securities. Ohta Masahiko is the figurehead CEO of the Under Mount corporation and holds the Kengan Association membership as a proxy for the company's true leader, Yamashita Kenzo, who leads the company from the shadows. Motoyama is extremely intelligent: before finishing high school, she sent in an essay to Harvard University and they sent her back a degree. So, because she already had a university degree, she skipped college and simply joined the workforce, soon becoming a secretary for Under Mount. Her trick to studying is, "move before you think!". Murobuchi Gozo is a record-breaking legendary athlete and the affiliated fighter for United Clothing. A physically dominating and experienced fighter, he had only lost to Wakatsuki Takeshi prior to Kengan Annihilation Tournament. Yoshitake Yoshiro is the CEO of Yoshitake Real Estate and the high-flying up-and-coming hope of the real estate industry.[76] He has a cat-and-dog relationship with Nogi Hideki. Chiba Takayuki is the affiliated fighter for Yoshitake Real Estate who is also an "actor" of the underworld. The Kure Clan are a powerful league of assassins that are notorious throughout the criminal underworld where they are widely known as The Taboo Descendants. Around a particular city, 500 kilometres away from Tokyo, they are the most influential clan within that city's region, with the vast majority of the Kure living in Kure Village, a provincial city in that region. About The Kure Clan was formed 1300 years ago, when the original Wu Clan divided into three. While those who remained in the Chinese mainland and those who migrated to the occident kept the name Wu, those who migrated to Japan founded the family today known as Kure Clan. Ever since the Asuka period, the Kure Clan has undergone a 1300 year process of selective breeding, adoption of special techniques and outside combat arts. As a result, with each generation, the Kure have become a race specialized for battle. This selective breeding process, which is done by either having congress with daughters of famous martial artists or introducing excellent seed from outside the clan, the Kure attained peak physical performance in regards to strength, speed and durability. In their blood, they possess over twenty kinds of endorphins and, combined with their abnormal physical resilience, they possess, whether it be from slashing attacks or being smashed to the ground. As competitors in the assassination business, they have a rivalry with the Mikazuchi Clan. Their rivalry goes way back, with the Mikazuchi's Raishin Style being used to stand against the Kure Clan for generations. Sometime prior to 1920, a Kure family member emigrated from Japan to Brazil, settling in the city of São Paulo. He taught the local Silva family judo techniques which they would use to create Silva style jiu-jitsu. Eventually he married into the Silva family, with the current patriarch being his direct descendant. An ancestral Kure site resides in the Tohoku Mountains where the cursed sword of the Kure clan resides, called Otakemaru (大嶽丸), which according to Erioh has been consuming blood for a thousand years, such a sword has a notoriously "inconstant" nature as even weighing only 20 kilos its irregular center of gravity that distributes the weight of the sword in a strange way makes it very difficult to wield, even Willem Wu, an individual endowed with Superman Syndrome and using Guihun 100% was unable to use the katana properly even with his monstrous strength. The sword is currently in the possession of Raian who, after long training, has shown himself to be the only one who can use it properly. Kure Traditions: The Kure Clan Tradition (呉くれ一いち族ぞく伝でん, Kure Ichizoku-den), refer to the techniques, specifically the clan's assassination arts, used by the Kure to give life and take life away.[8] According to the clan's current patriarch, Kure Erioh, there is no move the Kure cannot combat. There's is a separate set of techniques suited and designed for combat sports in mind. Those are known as the Kure Family Tradition (呉くれ家か伝でん, Kure Ka-den). Clan Traditions: Avidyā, "Ignorance" is a technique that claws at the eyes and blinds the target, leaving them open to further attacks.[9] Lion Bite is a technique that can violently twist the necks of multiple individuals, if not just a single target. This technique is almost invariably lethal in execution and, as an experienced individual such as Kure Raian demonstrated, it can easily help deal with a small group of targets in a single movement. Zhong Kui , named after a deity of the same name, is a technique designed to strike at the back of the neck. Though it was attempted by Erioh, it was nullified by Edward's absurd strength. Family Traditions: Buddha Killer, is an elbow uppercut to the head. Copy, as the name implies, allows the user to replicate and mimic an opponent's technique for their own benefit. Depth Charge an armor piercing blow targeted at the liver. Earth Scraper is a leg sweep that can throw off an opponent's balance for a follow-up. Hard Slam is a shoulder tackle. Heaven-Shaking Supreme Fang is a downward elbow strike to the nape of the neck used as a counter. Leg Thrust, is a heel kick to the chest. Mountain Breaker, is a double punch to the head and chest. Silhouette, is a super-close range technique that involves staying behind an opponent and mimicking them, acting like their shadow, before attacking. Secret Technique: Removal The Kure Clan Secret Technique: Removal, is most notable result of their selective breeding process. Also known as Guihun by their Wu Clan counterparts, it is the ability to consciously remove the brain's limits on an individual's muscular strength output. As such, while regular humans are naturally unable to access more than 30% of their body's muscular strength (except in times of extreme duress), the Kure bred to access a greater amount of their latent muscular strength. That being said, the percent they have access to varies from each individual,[12] and while those outside of the clan 'could' use this technique, only those of Kure and Wu possess the physical constitution needed to handle unrestrained exertion of the muscle's strength. The technique makes the user's skin turn red (or a dark shade of red-violet in the anime adaptation) with their blood vessels bulging on the surface. The Kure are also able to use the Removal in localized areas of their body. It has been observed by Yamashita Kazuo, that while Removal does increase the user's strength, it doesn't increase their stamina proportionally, as been seen with Raian during his fight with Ohma, and with the former of the two begrudgingly acknowledging that observation.[13] There is an ancient method of the Wu clan that allows a member of the clan and its branches to increase the release of their latent strength, reaching up to 100%, but with the risk of losing their life in the process.
