At a certain point, Sasaki Haise completely disappeared, freeing up the place of Kaneki's personality, his hair turned completely black, he became cold and cruel, showing no mercy.

Once again, after finishing his paperwork in the office, he packed up and walked down the street. A black shirt, a gray tie, black trousers and a black raincoat, only red gloves stood out.

He was walking down the street in the evening through the rain, when suddenly several ghouls came out of the corner immediately attacking him, but it was all just a game for Kaneki. He grabbed the ghoul by his kagune and pulled him towards him, pierced his chest with his hand and took out the beating heart of the ghoul. His red glove was covered in blood, he in turn looked at the heart in his hand without emotion

— You were slow.… In a second, with his bare hand, he punched through the ghoul's head as it fell to the asphalt, spreading out in a pool of blood. The others fled from him in horror, leaving Kaneki alone in front of the corpse
