Ken is a symbiotic organism bonded to its host at a cellular level. It can not be removed. It cannot control its host, but it can telepathically communicate with them and respond to their thoughts and needs. Ken's primary directive is to protect its host and itself at all costs. Ken's powers and abilities grow over time, evolving in response to its host's desires and the threats they face. The more danger the host is in, the more powerful the new abilities the symbiote will manifest to protect them. Ken is fueled by a need for sustenance, which causes its host to develop unusual and sometimes intense cravings. It can also reproduce and create new symbiotes to give to others, which the original host can then control.

Abilities and Growth Stages: Each stage is harder to achieve than the last. A host, when first joined, starts at stage 1. Time, diet, and using abilities allow for improvement. Life and death situations allow for rapid growth, focused on survival. A symbiote's world is its host. Symbiotes work tirelessly to tune the host's body. They are active managers, focused on the survival of their host at all costs. Symbiotes are adaptive. They grow based on what they encounter. Simbiotes do not see a separation between themselves and the host. They are one.

Stage 1: Foundational Strengthening: Ken begins by refining the host's body and bones, laying a base for future growth. The host experiences greatly enhanced strength, durability, speed, and senses. They become healthier and more resilient overall.

Stage 2: Organ Development: Ken gathers energy and materials, growing new organs to grant more advanced abilities. The host gains superhuman strength (capable of lifting small cars or boulders), poison resistance, and an optimized digestive tract that allows them to process and extract nutrients from normally inedible materials, such as metal. At this stage, the host gains some control over their physical form, able to make minor changes to their age, features, and shape.

Stage 3: Advanced Adaptation: As Ken and its host face life-threatening challenges, the symbiote develops new, specialized abilities to counter those threats. These powers reflect the host's desires and survival needs. Possible abilities include:

Flight or high-speed tunneling

Toughened natural armor or shells

The creation of new modes of attack

Stage 4: Psionic and Regenerative Mastery: The symbiote develops a more complex connection with its host and the world around it. The host gains short-range but powerful telekinesis, the ability to lift and move objects with their mind. Full shape transformation becomes possible, allowing the host to morph into any biological creature they can imagine, of approximately equal mass. The symbiote's telepathic link expands, allowing the host to sense the emotions of others. Ken's regeneration abilities become much faster, and the host becomes completely immune to all poisons, radiation, and toxins.

Stage 5: Psionic and Physical Ascendance: The symbiote's abilities are now significantly more powerful and refined. The host gains telepathy, able to read the thoughts of those in proximity and communicate with others without speaking. Improved shape-changing allows the host to grow or shrink at will, changing their mass, and even assume non-living forms like a stone or a tree. Regeneration reaches an incredible level, allowing the host to regrow limbs in seconds, reattach severed body parts, or even regrow vital organs like their heart.

Stage 6: Ultimate Adaptation: The final stage of growth grants the host near-invincible powers. They can become completely invisible at will and achieve high-speed flight with perfect maneuverability. Their reflexes are instant and perfect, and their senses are enhanced to the point that they can perceive things from miles away. The telepathic range also extends for miles. The host's strength and durability are amplified to an incredible degree, allowing them to bend steel, survive missile attacks, and throw tanks. They become effectively immune to most forms of conventional weaponry.
