    Anzu VIII was discovered at age 12. Since instances of Anzu are 16 years old when they bind to a host, her discovery was a sign that she and everyone else exist in a past that had been altered to create her, and the event that would create her in the original timeline would occur 4 years into the future.

    As far as this timeline is concerned, Tachibana Anzu is a real person. She is a middle-school raccoon furry with parents and two younger brothers (all also raccoon furries), friends, and a complete history. She has memories of being Natalie Park, a Library of Congress agent who was ambushed four years into the future while attempting to put the Anzu suit onto a former Al Qaeda organizer in Ar Raqqah, Syria, and Anzu'd herself while bleeding out in hopes that someone would rescue her in the new timeline. She also has fragmented memories from seven prior Anzus, and the seven people they replaced. Since nobody believes her, Anzu VIII has a diagnosis of childhood schizophrenia, and a guilt complex for removing 8 people from the time stream.

    Due to the mechanics of the WRIAD suits, Anzu VIII is fated to wind up in the same location in Ar Raqqah in about 4 years to prevent a paradox. She doesn't know how. She hopes somebody can help her survive this time. She refuses to have the ritual done on her until after she survives Ar Raqqah (since that would result in Natalie's death), but she's considering it after the fact to assuage her crushing guilt.

    Currently, the Anzu suit is still sitting around in a vault, unworn. Since Natalie Park doesn't exist in this timeline, it can't be used on her.
