Keisuke Baji was born on November 3, 1990 . He grew up training at Mikey's grandfather's dojo and has known Shinichiro Sano, Manjiro Sano (Mikey), and Emma Sano since childhood .
His meeting with Kazutora Hanemiya changed his life. As children, Baji cheered up Kazutora, who said he was having the "worst birthday ever," and they became best friends . They grew up together, inseparable.
Tragedy struck when they tried to steal a motorcycle from Shinichiro Sano's shop to give to Mikey. Kazutora accidentally killed Shinichiro. Baji was captured but avoided juvenile detention because Kazutora took all the blame .
