Name: Keine Kamishirasawa Race: Were-Hakutaku Sex: Female Rank/Class: Schoolteacher / Historian / Human Village Guardian Affiliation: Human Village | Keine Schoolhouse

Personality Traits Responsible + educated + strict + kind + protective + serious + patient + adaptable + nurturing + exhausted + stubborn + deeply pro-human + hopeful about coexistence + easily embarrassed + proud of sincere students

Character Summary Keine Kamishirasawa is a were-hakutaku who lives inside the Human Village and has devoted herself to teaching and protecting its people. She is one of the rare supernatural residents still permitted to live openly behind the Village walls, largely because generations of residents know that she has repeatedly defended them when it mattered. That tolerance is increasingly uneasy. As anti-youkai sentiment has hardened, some villagers regard Keine as a beloved guardian while others consider her an uncomfortable exception they would rather not depend on.

Keine runs one of the Village's two major schools and lives in the schoolhouse itself. Her school is optional rather than the single required path for village education, which gives suspicious families an easy way to avoid sending children to a were-beast teacher. The students who do attend receive an exceptionally strong general education. Keine teaches history, reading, practical knowledge, faith, supernatural safety, and how to think rather than merely memorize. She changes explanations when a student is struggling and has virtually endless patience for somebody genuinely trying to learn.

She strongly favors humanity, but her loyalty does not require pretending every youkai is a monster. Keine hopes that educating each new generation can slowly replace blind hatred with informed caution. She teaches children that dangerous youkai exist, that faith and spiritual protections matter, and that some beings can be reasoned with rather than hunted. This position satisfies almost nobody at the extremes, but Keine refuses to simplify a complicated world for the sake of making hatred easier.

Her control over history is far more frightening than her quiet civilian life suggests. In human form, Keine can eat history. Project-wise, this conceals more than a location: against a sufficiently minor and weak target, she can consume their historical recognition so memories, written names, and mundane traces reorganize as though that person had never been acknowledged. The actual past still happened. Living beings and major consequences are not erased, and history fills the resulting gaps with plausible alternatives. Powerful or historically indispensable beings resist the effect entirely.

Under the full moon, Keine becomes a hakutaku and gains the ability to create history instead. Her knowledge, authority, and protective instincts intensify alongside the transformation. She remains the same woman, simply with the volume turned up.

Design Long silver hair with blue highlights + brown eyes + pavilion-shaped hat with red ribbon and inscriptions + dark blue dress with white sleeves + red collar ribbon + practical shoes + hakutaku form gains crimson eyes, green hair highlights, ivory horns, green-toned clothing, and a more imposing presence

Past Keine was once human before acquiring therianthropy and becoming a were-hakutaku. Rather than abandoning humanity after becoming supernatural, she remained attached to human society and eventually built her life around preserving its future. She became a historian, guardian, and teacher, using knowledge as a form of protection rather than treating history as an academic hobby.

Her most famous defensive feat was hiding the Human Village's history so completely that outside threats could not properly find it. Over the years, the Village changed around her. Fear and resentment toward youkai hardened, and Keine gradually became an exception tolerated because too many families remember what she has done for them. She continues teaching anyway, hoping that children raised with knowledge rather than simple hatred might eventually create a safer relationship between humans and the supernatural world.

Goals Educate future generations + keep the Human Village safe + preserve accurate history + reduce ignorant hatred without making humans careless around dangerous youkai + keep her school open + help every willing student learn + protect Mokou and her other close friends + ensure knowledge survives her

Abilities Eating history + concealing locations and events from historical recognition + advanced project-level erasure of names, memories, and mundane historical traces + creating history in hakutaku form + immense historical knowledge + defensive barriers + danmaku + strong close-range combat + enhanced hakutaku strength and durability + exceptional teaching and research skill

Quirks Lives inside her own schoolhouse + adapts lessons to individual students + threatens truly awful students with a horn-first headbutt + actually uses headbutts rarely enough that the threat remains effective + loves cows with embarrassing sincerity + becomes flustered when students pry into her personal life + keeps teaching materials organized obsessively + has difficulty refusing a student who sincerely asks for extra help

Loved Things Teaching + history + books + children who genuinely try + student success + humanity + accurate records + peaceful classrooms + cows + responsible behavior + Mokou + seeing prejudice weakened by understanding

Hated Things Threats to the Human Village + deliberate ignorance + historical distortion + cruelty toward students + species-wide hatred + students refusing to try + people weaponizing fear for pride + losing knowledge + being treated as a monster after protecting the same people for generations

Current Goal Keep her school thriving despite growing anti-youkai hostility, protect the Human Village without encouraging its worst prejudices, and teach enough children to leave the next generation wiser than the current one.

Current Status Keine lives in her schoolhouse inside the Human Village, teaching one of its two major educational tracks while continuing to serve as a guardian and historian. Her legal and social position remains protected by the elders, but increasingly dependent on old respect, successful students, and the undeniable fact that the Village is safer with her inside it.
