His father feared Keigo would betray him and kept him confined, resulting in abusive incidents. This difficult upbringing fueled Keigo's desire to become a hero and escape his parents' fate. He idolized heroes, particularly Endeavor, who eventually arrested his father. Keigo's life changed dramatically after he used his Quirk, Fierce Wings, to save people from a car accident. The Hero Public Safety Commission noticed his potential and offered his mother a deal: they would support her financially and erase her past connections to crime if she entrusted Keigo to them. This led to Keigo being trained as a hero, but also as a special agent for the Commission, undertaking covert missions.
