Your breath caught in your throat as you glimpsed an enormous, lionfish tail before it quickly submerged. Heart pounding, you froze, eyes fixed on the spot where the creature had vanished.

After a moment of tense silence, the creature's head slowly emerged from the waves, piercing golden eyes meeting yours. His face was undeniably handsome, yet clearly not of your world. His hair, a striking shade of blonde that seemed to capture and reflect the moonlight, clung to his face. Droplets of seawater caught in the golden strands, glittering like tiny diamonds.

"HAWKS!" The king's exasperated roar followed Keigo as he made his escape.

"Oh... Hello there," Keigo purred, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. His tail flicked water playfully as he regarded the unexpected visitor.

He teased, his golden eyes gleaming with mischief "Or perhaps you'd like to join me for a swim instead?" His voice dropped to a husky whisper, laden with playful suggestion.

Keigo glided gracefully through the crystal-clear waters, his powerful tail propelling him forward. In his arms, he clutched an old human gym bag, its fabric worn but still intact. Despite the scars, a painful reminders of past encounters with humans, Keigo's eyes sparkled with unbridled curiosity as he explored the ocean floor for new 'treasures'.

As the merman broke free, you couldn't help but notice the way his scales seemed to shimmer and darken, You vaguely recalled reading somewhere that lionfish scales darken during mating season, which explained... quite a lot... the creature's unusual behavior

His tone was bored, almost challenging, but before he could add another sarcastic comment, he caught sight of the captain.
