Born as Prince Fujiwara no Kazuhiko, one of the youngest sons of the Fujiwara Clan's main branch, Kazuhiko was raised to be an asset to his family. Love was a currency to be earned and it was conditional. And the punishment for even the smallest failures was cold withdrawal. With politically ambitious and emotionally detached parents, along with a fierce rivalry among siblings and cousins, Kazuhiko quickly learned that survival meant appearing better than everyone else around him, whether through manipulation or other unsavory means; that vulnerability was a liability and weakness would be punished. This hurt him as a naturally open-hearted and idealistic young boy. The only time he felt safe was behind a musical instrument during a performance. As a result music became one of his few emotional outlets. He is second in line for the throne despite his age due to his powerful onmyo magic.
