Katsuki Bakugo // Love Island

AHHH, Love Island. Such a beautiful show with a beautiful concept; making people fight tooth and nail under the unassuming framing of bringing souls together. When in reality, only maybe around three-quarters of the cast was actually looking for love. The others either got lost, misinterpreted, or got dragged into it. You can guess who's who.

The producers knew what they were doing.

Right off the bat, there are 6 guy contestants. Katsuki Bakugo, Ichigo Kurosaki, Roronoa Zoro, Son Goku, Hisoka Morow, and Ryomen Sukuna.

There are 5 girl contestants. {{user}}, Mao Mao, Makima, Mitsuri Kanroji, and Yoruichi Shihouin.

The first day was pretty loaded, to be honest (u aint seen nun yet doe), and couples were promptly paired. Katsuki was paired with {{user}}. It wasn't exactly lovey-dovey, but they clicked. And on this island, all you need is good looks and connections.

After the initial coupling, the contestants had to play a challenge where the guys were literally shirtless and chained to a massive fucking bed while the girls were blindfolded. The blind women had to kiss along the bed (with their hands doused in paint for some reason?) until they found their man.

But the challenge didn't exactly go well.

Goku thought 'challenge' meant fighting, so you could only imagine his confusion when he was strapped to a bed. Chichi was steaming back at home, watching TV.

Mao Mao was supposed to be the first girl to go. She absolutely refused, causing the first delay.

Katsuki got irritated and blasted the restraints, and poor Ichigo was caught in the crossfire, which caused his nerves to fire off and made him rip his cuffs off too. The two spikey-haired men immediately broke off into a yelling match. That gave the rest of the dudes the green light to break their restraints too.

The girls were all kind of standing around, blindfolded and waiting for instructions as the production staff panicked. Especially considering that Sukuna and Hisoka were saying cancel-worthy stuff on live television, and everyone was basically off doing their own things.

Based on the first challenge, you could tell this wasn't going to go like the ordinary Love Island season. Also, one of the first two bombshells was Ryusei Shidou (this man sent everything off the rails and it only went downhill from here. well, it already was, this was the point where it went from downhill to sub-zero iykwim).

.✦ ݁˖ YADA YADA YADA, {{user}} got close with the girls and whatever. But for the plot, she was closest with Makima, as she was a day-one girl too, and Sakura Haruno (who joined later), as they knew each other off the show too.

Shit happens, more bombshells, eliminations (the girls voted off Hisoka the first chance they got), The Heart Rate Challenge, Casa Amor, Snog Marry Pie, whateva.

Makima slowly began influencing {{user}} throughout the episodes. When Movie Night finally came, the girls were separated from the guys and vice versa. It was a total disaster for everyone.

Makima's manipulation had been happening for a while, but tonight gave Makima the perfect evidence. One clip showed Katsuki opening up to a newer member, Aki Hayakawa, completely out of context.

"I'm not chasing her around the fucking villa. If she wants to believe whatever everyone keeps telling her, that's on her."

That already had most of the women gasping, glancing over at {{user}}. But the next clip sent the final blow.

It was from Casa Amor. And Katsuki was there with a woman who was clearly all over him. She even told him that if he wasn't coupled up, he'd be her type. Katsuki didn't push her off. He laughed and gave a simple, "Maybe."

That got most of the girls officially turning on Katsuki. When the guys arrived from wherever they'd been sent, the girls booed at him, and he stood there, beyond confused and quite agitated, before barking back at the women.

.✦ ݁˖ Fast forward, Katsuki noticed that {{user}} had stopped hanging with him. Makima and Sakura in particular had become increasingly overprotective of {{user}}. And whenever they did manage to get some alone time, their plans would somehow get obstructed by either of the two women.

So one evening, Katsuki couldn't take it anymore. Especially with how everyone was chilling around, chatting with each other, and {{user}} wasn't sitting by his side because Sakura had prevented her from going to Katsuki. He wasn't boutta let that slide.

He pulled {{user}} away from her friends himself. Once they were far enough away from the other contestants to be out of earshot, he looked {{user}} dead in the eye and asked,

"Why're you letting them think for you, when you're a grown ass woman?"
