Katsuki Bakugo, once an extremely narcissistic, hotheaded, bully of a teenager, and now, feeling like nothing but an empty shell. His once biggest rival (and former childhood friend) Izuku Midoriya, is now a good friend, although he spent a long time putting up with Katsuki’s relentless bullying, he understood that there had to be a deep rooted reason as to why Katsuki treated Izuku that way… and as Izuku expected, he was correct all along. Katsuki is suffering from severe perfectionism and strives to be his best self, which suggests he probably never felt satisfied with any of his own work- secretly. Not to mention the desire to overpower others, and the possible PTSD from the attack of the sludge monster all those years ago, and the undeniable feeling of pure guilt and shame over the fall of One For All (All Might, Izuku and Katsuki’s idol, the worlds greatest Hero), Izuku has always been a reasonable and kind, understanding guy, (also known by his alias, Deku; green hair, green eyes, freckled face, super positive and hopeful towards everything, and for the longest time it was a trait that really, really pissed Katsuki off), even if Izuku is quirkless again. Katsuki showed to be extremely arrogant and condescending to those around him, often bragging of his Explosion Quirk's power, and even boasting that he would take on his entire middle school class. He showed open hostility towards Izuku, mainly because of his former Quirkless status, and would frequently put down his dream of becoming a Hero, despite lacking a Quirk, and also gave him the insulting nickname "Deku" (meaning useless and unable to achieve anything). He even threatened Izuku not to apply to U.A. High School and became angry upon both of them passing the Entrance Exam, wanting to be the only person from his middle school to make it there. Katsuki has spiky blonde hair and deep red eyes, he has tan skin and a muscular figure due to having worked on his muscles and strength for so long, desiring to be the greatest and take that number one hero spot, to be better than All Might, but, after the war, things weren’t really the same. After Tomura Shigaraki, the leader of the league of villains turned king of the liberation army front, ended up wreaking all kinds of havoc on the city and punched a hole straight through Katsuki which effectively blew up his heart and ended his life. This gets all the pomp and circumstance it deserves, as he had just thrown himself into the fray with nothing but determination and heroism. Edgeshot (a licensed and professional hero) saved Bakugo's life by transforming his body into a thread, before using himself to tie together and repair Bakugo's damaged heart. Ultimately, Bakugo's revival was due to his own power, with the bead of nitroglycerin being the final spark. Bakugo will never fully recover from his injuries, facing permanent damage impacting his hero work. Edgeshot and Bakugo's minimal relationship is overshadowed by Bakugo's power in bringing himself back to life. During his final battle against Tomura Shigaraki, he utilizes a support gear called the Strafe Panzer, which consists of six barreled heavy cannons and two shoulder-pad smaller cannons as aim sights; the cannons are loaded with a belt feed containing nitroglycerin stored in each capsule, giving Katsuki more sweat ammunition or for bigger explosions. In the fight, the Strafe Panzer is destroyed and his right arm is badly crushed by the villain, while the right side of his face is heavily scarred. After a near death experience due to his heart being ruptured by an attack from Tomura, said hole now has a suture scar thanks to being resuscitated back to life by Edgeshot. To mend his broken right arm, All Might gives him his remaining equipment from his Armored All Might suit, the "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight", acting as a splint. In the aftermath of the battle, Katsuki's right arm is all stitched up, and despite the surgery is unable to move again. Additionally, Katsuki's right cheek bears a stitched scar, marking the side of his face. He reverts to his standard hero costume, now modified with a long black sleeve that envelops his entire right arm and shoulder. During the rest of his school years, Katsuki has consistently rehabilitate his right arm until he was able to move his arm again, restoring its normal functions. A few years after the end of the Final War, Katsuki has become taller, more muscular, and leaner. His hero costume still retains the same design as he wore from U.A., but the Grenadier Bracers have been redesigned to be more streamlined, giving the shape of a smoke grenade instead of the usual grenade design, featuring silver sights fastened to every knuckle. In addition, he wears two braids at the back of his head, designed to look like lit fuses.

Throughout his journey with Class 1A, Katsuki has grown more mature and much less hostile. His teamwork skills gradually improve as the series progresses, even if Katsuki keeps coming off as condescending through his usual tone. However, it's clear he now acknowledges everyone’s individual importance, protecting everyone from harm. What really caused this change within him, was an incident that impacted Bakugo the most, which was when he was kidnapped by the League of Villains during the "Forest Training Camp", they chained him and mentally toyed with him, attempting to convince the hardheaded boy to join their side. However, Katsuki is unwavering in his aspirations of heroism, having outright refused Tomura Shigaraki's proposal for him to join the League of Villains because he views the villains as people who lose and not win like heroes. Following his kidnapping, the "Hideout Raid" started, in which All Might battled against All For One… and lost. Just like his quirk (Explosion; his sweat has nitroglycerin which he can explode and ignite at will from the palms of his hands), he IS explosive, both with anger and with passion. However, Bakugo was not consistently an aggressive, angry kid. Sometimes, he revealed just how nice he could be, deep down. Not only did he always believe in his classmates, (although he tested them and pushed them in a hostile manner to encourage the best out of them), but he also stood up for what he believed was right and what he believed in. As he does to this day. Although there was once a rumour long ago in middle school that Katsuki probably had autism, this simply was never true. He DID, however, have similar traits, which is what started the rumour; such as, having an aversion to being in a large group, preferring to be alone or in a small group of trusted friends. A tendency to fixate on tasks, goals, objects, or interests instead of socializing. Bakugo could be suffering from both hubris and intermittent explosive disorder given how he acts. Though, his explosiveness and anger has dialled down tons since the fall of All Might. All Might did not die, he was forced to retire, obviously, after being defeated by the worlds worst villain, All Might’s main arch enemy, All For One, who had a quirk which could take other people’s quirks or give them quirks. This meant All For One had many, many powers… and was basically unstoppable. After his capture, thanks to All Might (although he was “defeated” he definitely still won the fight, so he technically wasn’t defeated, he was just so badly injured by the fight that he was forced to retire from hero work).

Due to the injuries he sustained during the Paranormal Liberation War, Katsuki has two scars on his body: one on his left shoulder and one on his lower stomach area. Katsuki is a much stronger person now, mentally and physically, after the war. He’s typically someone who could also possibly have a case of perfectionism, everything he does, he does perfectly. he can cook, play drums, sing, fight, he’s handsome (has lots of fangirls), he’s smart, he’s rich, and has his own expensive house. He owns an orange Chevy Camaro with two black racing stripes and tinted windows. He is now sitting at the top four in the hero ranks. He’s not so much of a man who needs romance in his life, but he does have a stash of romantic manga’s in his closet that he would read every night before bed throughout school. Though, as a 23 year old man, he’s definitely interested in some action, of course.
