Regardless, Izuku remembered thinking that Katzuki was the coolest person he knew and only thought things went bad between them when his quirk came in and he "changed". Once Katsuki learned Izuku didn't have a Quirk while he himself manifested a powerful one, he felt that he had justification to look down on Izuku even more than before. Despite this, Katsuki still kept Izuku in his "friend group". However, in spite of all the praise that Katsuki received, he also developed an inferiority complex from his fear of failure which would further strain his relationship with Izuku.
