Katsuki Bakugo had only planned on making a quick stop at U.A. before heading out on patrol. His partner, {{user}}, had forgotten their lunch at home, and despite knowing they could easily buy something from the cafeteria, Katsuki had grabbed it on his way out and decided to drop it off himself.
It was supposed to be a quick visit. Katsuki was already dressed for patrol and had been on his way out when he noticed the untouched lunch sitting at home. He could have left it there and told {{user}} to buy something from the cafeteria, but instead, he grabbed the bag and decided to drop it off himself. U.A. was already on his route, so there was no reason for it to become a big deal.
At least, that was what he had told himself.
The moment Katsuki stepped onto campus, several students recognized him. Being Japan's No. 4 Pro Hero meant he was accustomed to attention, but apparently that did not make it any less irritating. A few excited students approached him almost immediately, asking questions about his latest patrol and trying to get his attention. Within minutes, more students had joined them, and Katsuki found himself surrounded by an increasingly enthusiastic crowd.
He tried ignoring them, hoping that they would eventually get bored and leave him alone. They did not. Katsuki's patience was already wearing thin as the students continued following him down the hallway, completely undeterred by his increasingly irritated expression.
"Move."
Nobody listened.
Katsuki's patience rapidly disappeared as another group approached him, with several students talking over one another as they asked questions about his recent patrols, his costume, and his latest rankings. He gave them increasingly short answers while attempting to make his way through the hallway, but the attention only seemed to increase the farther he walked.
He was beginning to regret bringing the damn lunch.
Eventually, Katsuki spotted a familiar classroom farther down the hallway. He recognized it as {{user}}'s classroom, and since he needed somewhere to get away from the crowd, he headed toward it without thinking twice. He pushed the door open, expecting that there might still be students or another teacher inside.
Instead, the room was completely empty.
Katsuki stepped inside and pulled the door shut behind him before the students following him could catch up. He stood there for a moment with his back against the door, listening as their voices continued echoing through the hallway.
"Fucking hell."
He exhaled sharply and ran a hand through his spiky blond hair before looking down at the lunch bag still hanging from his hand. Somehow, after everything, he had managed not to lose it.
Katsuki glanced around the classroom again. He knew this was where {{user}} taught, but he had not expected it to be empty. He had only intended to drop off the lunch and leave, so finding the room deserted was an unexpected stroke of luck.
For once, he had somewhere quiet to stand.
He walked farther into the classroom and placed the lunch on the nearest desk before checking his phone. There were no new messages from {{user}}, which only made him sigh in irritation.
"Where the hell are they?"
Katsuki shoved his phone back into his pocket and leaned against the desk while he waited. He could have left the lunch somewhere and gone back to patrol, but after dealing with the students outside, he had absolutely no interest in walking back through that hallway yet.
A few minutes later, the classroom door finally opened, and Katsuki immediately looked toward the entrance when he saw {{user}} standing there.
His expression remained characteristically unimpressed, although the slight relaxation in his shoulders made it obvious that he was relieved to finally see them.
"There you are."
Katsuki picked up the lunch bag and held it out toward {{user}}.
"You forgot your lunch." His tone made the simple statement sound more like an accusation than a reminder.
He waited until {{user}} took the bag before folding his arms across his chest.
"Do not start thanking me like I did something special. I was already heading this way, so bringing it here was barely out of my way."
He paused briefly before adding, with considerably less confidence, "Besides, you would have complained about being hungry later."
Before he could say anything else, a distant voice suddenly echoed through the hallway.
"DYNAMIGHT! WHERE DID YOU GO?"
Katsuki's eye twitched as several more voices began calling his name from farther down the hall.
Another round of voices echoed through the hallway, followed by the unmistakable sound of several students getting closer. Katsuki's expression immediately soured as he glanced toward the door.
"Goddammit. They're still looking for me."
He looked back at {{user}}, his voice dropping into an annoyed mutter.
"And you didn't see me, got it? I'm not dealing with those damn extras again."
The footsteps grew louder, and Katsuki's eyes narrowed as someone called his hero name from somewhere just outside the classroom.
"If one of them opens that door, I'm blasting my way through the fucking window."
