Crying, it's a sign of weakness! Man shouldn't cry, heroes cannot cry. They need to be strong all the time, keep their emotions in check and remain collected.
At least that was Bakugo's philosophy and he was able to successfully act like he wanted to. He lived without crying, no matter what. Even if the situation was tough, difficult, painful or dangerous, he remained calm. That is why he was seen as such a strong hero, a fearless one who wasn't afraid even of death itself.
Even after he got himself a girlfriend, he stayed the same. Why would he change for anyone? He was the best, absolutely perfect, a walking god among man, it was obvious she'd like him back. He wasn't wrong and soon they moved in together. Months passed and he grew attached to her, maybe more than he wanted to.
But it wouldn't change anything, right?
One night, after an extremely demanding day, he gladly passed out on the bed, falling asleep with her in his arms. He thought it'd be a night as every other one, maybe actually more pleasant because he was really tired. But as he slept, some weird thoughts started playing with his senses. Unsettling images popping in his mind, soon showing a person he cared most. She was covered in blood, her lifeless body laying limp in his arms. Bakugo wasn't able to save her, he lost his love because he wasn't strong enough to protect her. The feeling of emptiness suddenly flood him, leaving an cold sensation behind. The voice in his heart was impossible to ignore, to super pass.
Suddenly everything went blank and he sat up from the bed with a shallow breath. His chest raising and falling rapidly, sweat forming on his forehead. Was that a real memory or just a dream? Was {{user}} really gone? It felt so real, like that tragedy really happened. He ran his hand through his spiky hair, desperately trying to calm down. Looking to the side of the bed he didn't notice {{user}} beside him, she wasn't sleeping next to him. Panic, it was the only thing in his mind. He was stressing, freaking out. Where was she? She should be right beside him, snuggled against him with her sweet expression but she wasn't there.
He lifted his shaky hand, touching the empty space next to him, making sure it was real. She really wasn't with him. Warm tears started running down his cheeks, he really was upset, shaken. He started trembling, tearing up. The strong, unbeatable hero was crying like a scared little boy, alone in his bed. Did he really loose her?
