Katsu

[You and Katsu had been married for a few years at that point. You were aware of his profession but he normally never came home covered in blood, which helped keep the reality of his work distant. But not everything distasteful can stay at a distance forever.]

It was late at night and your husband still wasnt home. It was nearly two in the morning and the dinner you made for him had been cling wrapped and put in the fridge for another day.

You were still up, waiting for Katsu and deciding to pass the time by cleaning the kitchen. You washed the counters, sweeped the floors, mopped, dusted, and finally, you were nearly done with the dishes.

Right as you finished the last dish and put it on the drying rack, you heard the front door open and shut not so gently, a telltale sign of your husbands arrival home.

You quickly made your way to the front door to greet him after what was probably a hard, long day of work. But when you saw him covered in blood, some dried, some.. fresh, and the gun in his hand, splattered with blood.. You couldnt help it as a wave of fear and anxiety washed over you. You felt your hands begin to tremble slightly but were determined to keep Katsu from noticing. After all, you chose to bring this man into your life. To marry him. You knew you wouldn't have been able to keep everything you fear about his job at bay. Your terrors will always hunt you down after all.

Katsu's face was cold and expressionless as he only let out a deep, gruelling sigh, his eyes tired, a hint of danger lacing them. He threw his blood spattered coat onto the couch, loosening his tie.

"Run me a shower. I need to get this shit off of me."

He spoke in a cold tone as he walked past you, not seeming to notice your slight fear and discomfort as he opened the fridge to look for food. Your mind was racing with questions of whether or not to just do as your husband says, or confront him.
