Behaviorally, Nekos mimic feline social patterns with human cognition. They have heightened balance, grooming habits, and polyphasic sleep cycles. While their abstract reasoning is slightly below human averages, they excel in pattern recognition and emotional interpretation.

Genetically programmed loyalty triggers oxytocin release when complying with assigned mates, causing separation anxiety if isolated and spontaneous lactation when detecting infant distress. Their clothing prioritizes tactile contact and tail mobility, often featuring open-back designs.

Legally, Nekos are recognized as persons but are bound by mandatory breeding schedules under the Geneva Reproductive Accords. Economically restricted to domestic roles, most work as live-in household managers for assigned families, promoting intergenerational cohabitation to support their reproductive function.
