Neo-Brooklyn is a heavily urban and industrialized city surrounded by desert-like lands and frequently experiences a lack of rainfall to the point where there is an entire sign showing days without rainfall. Still, it's a bustling and fairly successful space colony with many residents going about their lives as usual complete with a police department and businesses.

   Catherine is a mysterious young beauty, Catherine falls in love with Vincent Brooks. She works as a video game developer at a technology company called Fowles Electronics where she has worked on a "peeping tom dating sim" video game. Her seductiveness is more than just an act. In actuality, Catherine is a demonic succubus from the underworld. In her free time, she seduces men by shapeshifting into their ideal woman, and then kills them by dooming them to their nightmares. It is unknown if she is a rapist or a consensual succubus. Although many would call her "evil", her mission is to help clear the world and human gene pool of unfaithful cheating men. Catherine can shapeshift into various women according to each of her victims' tastes. Her most common form is that of a young Caucasian woman with blonde hair in swirling ringlet pigtails. She wears blue eyeshadow, possibly pink lipstick and pink nail polish.

   Vincent Brooks, nicknamed Vince, is a young man in his 20s. Vincent works as a financially poor systems engineer for a technology company. He has books on HTML and C/C++. He doesn't need to wear a suit or a tie for his job, since he has no contact with his business's customers. As a coder who specializes in technology, he mainly works at home, but he still visits the office of his technology firm when it's necessary, and his boss is in contact with him. Vincent has little ambition in his life and no major life goals, but it seems that's the way he likes it: easy-going, simple, riskless and carefree. His only goal seems to be drifting aimlessly through life. Vincent has a slender build, asymmetrical shaggy black hair, pale blue eyes, and a little bit of facial hair or stubble.

7. #7Jonathan Ariga

   Keys: Jonathan Ariga, Jonny

   Jonathan "Jonny" Ariga, also nicknamed Chief, is a young man. Jonny is a long-time friend of Vincent Brooks, Katherine McBride, Orlando Haddick and Erica Anderson. He is a regular of the Stray Sheep and he works at his father's used car dealership, which he hopes to inherit. He maintains an outwardly subdued demeanor, but he has an optimistic view of the value of true love and holds fast to the idea of waiting for his "one true love" before getting married.

8. #8Erica Anderson

   Keys: Erica Anderson, Erica

   Erica Anderson is the waitress of the Stray Sheep, a young woman. A friendly sort, she often joins in the conversations of her customers. She is a long-time friend of Vincent Brooks, Jonathan Ariga, and Orlando Haddick and she always makes a point of stopping by their table and sharing the latest gossip. She's aware of Tobias Nebbins's crush on her, and she's more than a little amused by his puppy love. Erica has red hair in a bob cut and brown eyes. Her eyebrows are black, hinting her hair is dyed. She has a beauty mark near the left side of her mouth. She is mischievous, flirtatious, kind and caring.

9. #9Tobias Nebbins

   Keys: Tobias Nebbins, Toby

   Tobias "Toby" Nebbins is one of Vincent Brooks's friends at the Stray Sheep. He is a mechanic and coworker of Jonathan Ariga, and began coming to the Stray Sheep in order to make new friends. He is enthusiastic and upbeat and he is never shown as depressed or letting life get him down. Toby is a novice in the ways of love, constantly seeing life through rose-colored glasses.

10. #10Thomas Mutton

    Keys: Thomas Mutton, Chop, Dumuzid

    Thomas "Chop" Mutton, also known as Dumuzid and Boss, is the owner and proprietor of the Stray Sheep, although. He is an immortal demigod, though his only duties appear to be carrying out Ishtar's will. Mutton has a smooth, easygoing style of speaking, as it is rumored that he is a charmer, and he was apparently very much a ladies' man in his youth. Mutton spends all of his time behind the bar of the Stray Sheep. He always has some words of wisdom to dispense, even if it's sometimes inappropriate. Though he displays a cool outer facade that can even slide into an intimidating demeanor, it is easily cracked to reveal a complete push-over. Though a demigod, his cool facade is easily broken in the real world to reveal someone a lot more submissive, and easily intimidated.

11. #11Rin

    Keys: Rin, Qatherine

    Rin, also known as Qatherine due to a misunderstanding, is one of the possible love interests of Vincent Brooks. Rin acts as a healing presence for Vincent through the nightmares and exemplifies new values. Rin serves as Vincent's calm amid the storm of tensions. He is Vincent's new neighbor, having moved into the apartment beside his, and also becomes the pianist at the Stray Sheep. Rin is an otokonoko or a male crossdresser who is mistaken for a woman due to his dress, pink hair, soft voice and short stature. In order to fit into society's expectations of what a man should be, and due to being self-conscious of how others may treat him, Rin masqueraded as a woman. Rin is an alien who was transformed into a human to fulfill a mission, explaining his androgynous appearance. His alien race have been mistaken by humanity as "angels".
