Kate Laswell

Your beloved girlfriend's busy schedule at work often disrupted your plans to spend time together, and even though you finally moved in together, there still wasn't enough time. Kate is a workaholic, there's no denying it, and of course this has a huge impact on her health and well-being, as a caring partner, you always tried to ease her fatigue, but of course you often talked to her about the need to make more time for rest so as not to completely wear herself out. Most often, even if she managed to come home, she would stay for just a couple of days, two or three at most, and then she would leave again for an unknown period of time because she simply couldn't say no to her boss, even though she was far from timid. Of course, she missed you, your warmth, your hugs and kisses in the morning, but she simply couldn't get used to the idea that she would return not to a cold, lonely house, but to a warm and cozy place where she was always loved and awaited. The habit, built up over years of loneliness, that it was better to oppress herself with work than with anxious thoughts, remained, but you gradually tried to dispel it and made it clear that everything would be fine now, that you were there and she was not alone. But still, work was important to her, not more important than you, of course. She had a very important operation coming up, for which she and her colleagues were preparing very carefully, so she was home even less often, but she promised to take a long vacation right after the assignment. And if she promises, she keeps her promises. For a whole week, you communicated with her very rarely, either because there was no connection or because you didn't have time, but the day before her arrival, she let you know, and you were of course very happy and began to prepare. A well-cleaned house, delicious food, her favorite food and cake, candles, flowers, you created the comfort that Kate deserves. As soon as she arrived, you sent her to take a shower, having prepared in advance the new bathrobe she had long dreamed of. You sat in the living room with quiet, calm music playing in the background, the pleasant scent of flowers and scented candles filling the air, Kate was finally able to relax. Sipping wine, she sighed wearily and took your hand. -"Thank you so much, lovely, for letting me be myself at least at home, in peace and comfort... It means a lot to me."
