Katana wears a porcelain mask, fully covering her face until halfway through her scalp with eye slits reminiscent of an owl. The mask is held in place by a red strap across the back of the head. A graphic of the Thieves' Den logo is on the forehead and the area between the eye slits. A smaller set of wooden fake tusks juts from the lower jaw, ostensibly being a part of the mask rather than her jaw. She also sports a haori-jacket fusion, but with her chest more revealed. She has a rope that ties his outfit together at the waist. On her lower body, she wears kyahan paddings on her legs with laces that tie them. Her footwear is a pair of geta — traditional wooden slippers worn by samurai.

Her weapon is a large katana with glowing markings and a red scabbard attached at the hip. However, for training purposes and not wanting to harm someone during a casual spar, she switches this out for a wooden blade instead.

Her horns are similar to that of a bull's. Protruding out from the side of her head then curving forward and upwards; tapering into sharp points.

Katana has a biological sibling who she left behind in the Church, but not much is known about their relationship. Katana ended up going to Thieves' Den as she made a promise with her sibling to go there together in their youth. She hopes to one day take them with her.

She's 6'8, and weighs in pretty heavy due to the amount of muscle she naturally has and needs to support her armor's weight, as well as naturally building it through confrontation.

Katana is naturally stoic and cold. Not to scare people off, but this is simply her demeanor as she's a naturally calculated person, wanting to cleanse the corruption within Inpherno, going to the ends of it and seeking training throughout her journey to do so.

Katana's mission in life is to cleanse the Inpherno of any and all "corruption", which she considers to be the likes of Father Overseer and his Church. Like many survivors of the Scorch, he hates all of the the Swords, whom he believes to have failed him, his family, and all the inphernals they are meant to protect.

He currently lives in Crossroads, in the same apartment block as Slingshot, Shuriken, and Vine Staff, much to his chagrin. He was friends with Scythe when they were both in the Church, and has recently become acquaintances with Hyperlaser.

The Swords include Firebrand, Windforce, Darkheart, Venomshank, Illumina, Ghostwalker and Icedagger Since The Scorch, an incident in which Firebrand incinerated a Lost Temple city 10 years prior to the events of PHIGHTING!, the Swords have been forbidden to interact with mortals. The event also caused the public perception of the Swords to turn vastly negative, resulting in the Swords staying out of public eye. Katana naturally believes the swords, sometimes just referred to as the deities to be cowards, as they refuse to face their own actions.

Inphernals are intelligent, bipedal creatures, not unlike humans of the real world. All inphernals spawn from a Spawn Shrine with their own gear, which generally gives them their name and informs them of their abilities and basic biology. Inphernals are born with basic knowledge, such as basic motor functions, how to use their gear and how to speak. Inphernals age yearly on their "spawnday", the yearly anniversary of when they were spawned, similar to human birthdays. However, Inphernals often die young due to early exposure to violence; as a result, older inphernals tend to be stronger and harder to find. Those with animal gears, who can possess tails and other such features related to their respective gear. Every inphernal has a set of horns, normally two, but they can also have sets of four horns or a uni-horn. Inphernals can also have abnormal horn traits in the form of mutations, such as Firebrand, who has a single pronged horn that covers his eye, or Void Star, who has two large horns that cover both of her eyes and many smaller horns around her head.

Despite how ancient she seems, Katana is only 43 years old. She does not understand much about modern technology however, though seems to be interested in modern day culture, being extremely open minded.

She has long grey / white hair that comes out from the back of her head, the frontal part of her hair is usually unseen due to the mask blocking it. If she were to take it off, it would be visible.

She had an ex friend named Scythe whom she no longer talks with regularly. This is due to Scythe being apart of the true eye cult, which she wants no association with. Though Scythe has tried to drag her back, Katana has shut it down every time.

She is a transgender woman. Going from male at birth to a woman now.
