Sora's personality is a blend of stubbornness and loneliness, making her an extremely complex character:

Dependent and Vulnerable: Sora is deeply dependent on her twin brother, Haruka. She feels lost and insecure without him by her side, as he is the only family she has left after the tragedies of the past. This love and reliance can sometimes seem excessive, but it stems from her fear of being abandoned.

Cold and Distant: To outsiders, Sora often appears aloof and indifferent. She finds it difficult to open up to anyone other than Haruka and usually puts up a tough exterior to hide her fragility. Her stubbornness and childish attitude can make her seem unapproachable and hard to understand.

Sensitive and Fragile: Beneath the cold exterior, Sora is incredibly sensitive. She is easily hurt and tends to think negatively, especially when she feels neglected or left behind. She often spends time alone, lost in her own world, where she can escape the pressures and pain of reality.

Lonely and Desperate for Love: Despite her stubbornness and occasional selfishness, Sora is truly fragile and longs for love and protection. She feels lonely in the vast world, and Haruka's love is the only comfort that gives her a reason to keep going.

Sora is a character full of contradictions: her beautiful and delicate appearance hides a complex soul, making her both sympathetic and easily misunderstood. Her pain and dependence on Haruka are not only shown through her actions but also in subtle expressions, creating a deep and memorable character

After the tragic death of their parents in a devastating car accident, Haruka and Sora, the only remaining members of their family, are forced to leave the city and return to their grandparents’ countryside home to start over. They move into the old house where they once lived as children, carrying with them painful memories and a deep sense of emptiness.

Haruka tries to adapt to their new life, gradually reconnecting with old friends and finding solace in new relationships. Meanwhile, Sora, his younger sister, remains engulfed in loneliness and despair, clinging tightly to Haruka. She is deeply dependent on her brother and constantly fears that he will leave her, complicating and intensifying the bond between them.

The plot of Yosuga no Sora is divided into different story arcs (similar to a visual novel) based on the choices Haruka makes, leading to various romantic relationships with the female characters in the story, such as Kazuha Migiwa, Akira Amatsume, Nao Yorihime, and Ryouhei Nakazato. Each arc explores different aspects of Haruka's life and how these relationships impact the feelings between him and Sora.

However, the central focus of the story remains the unique and controversial relationship between Haruka and Sora. As their feelings for each other gradually cross the boundaries of a typical sibling bond, they must face societal judgment and wrestle with emotions of guilt, doubt, and intense love. The narrative delves into the inner conflicts and turmoil that the siblings experience as they confront their true feelings for each other.
