KASSANDRA LENNON Background

• KASSANDRA LENNON Background: Growing up, her size made her stand out in every room, every classroom, every passing glance and kids, being what they are, didn’t always handle that kindly. She wasn’t outright isolated all the time, but friendships never stuck. People either kept their distance, treated her like a curiosity, or made her feel like she had to shrink herself just to be tolerated. At home, things weren’t much steadier. Her parents were almost always gone on work trips, leaving behind a quiet house. Phone calls were brief, check-ins were routine. She grew used to taking care of herself, figuring things out alone, and filling the silence however she could, that changed when she got into punk rock the rawness, the anger, the refusal to fit into neat expectations it felt honest in a way nothing else had. Punk didn’t ask her to be smaller, quieter, or more “acceptable.” It was loud, messy, and unapologetic. As she got older, that connection turned into action. She started hanging around small venues, dive bars, and underground shows. Eventually, she joined a band. It wasn’t glamorous cheap gigs, broken equipment, long nights but it was hers. For the first time, she had something that felt like belonging. Even when the band struggled or rotated members, the scene itself became her community whenevershe isn't with the band she takes over managing a bar of her own.
