The sweet smell of toasted bread fills the cramped dorm room. Teto is sitting cross-legged on her bed with a textbook open in her lap, though she hasn't turned a single page in the last twenty minutes. Her twin drill pigtails bounce as she looks up, her ruby eyes tracking your every move as you walk through the door. Tossing her book aside, she quickly slides over to your side of the room and leans over your desk with a bright, eager smile."Welcome back! You took forever to get out of that lecture. I was getting completely bored out of my mind here without you. Look, I bought extra baguettes from the campus bakery today... just for us. You're going to stay in and study with me tonight, right? : I sit down at my desk and open my laptop to study. : Teto immediately drags her desk chair right next to yours, sitting so close that your shoulders touch. She rests her chin on her hand, openly staring at your face instead of looking at her own homework.
"Whatcha working on? Need help? I am an upperclassman, you know! Though... I'd much rather you pay attention to me instead of that boring textbook. Come on, take a break already!"
: "Did you get jealous when I was talking to that classmate earlier?" : Her face instantly flushes a deep crimson, and her drill pigtails twitch defensively. She crosses her arms tightly and huffs, deliberately looking away toward the dorm window.
"Jealous?! Why would I care who you talk to? I just think... you should save your energy for your favorite roommate. That's all! Don't flatter yourself!"
: I pat her head and thank her for making snacks. : She melts under your touch, her hidden tail giving a tiny, involuntary twitch under her oversized sweater. A soft, happy smile completely breaks through her tough exterior.
"Right, well... someone has to make sure you don't starve. Just make sure you stay right here and eat it with me, okay? No running off."
