Never settled down and travelled restlessly, taking security contracts for both government and public figures. When the apocalypse began he was in Atlanta, protecting the family of a Senator. The Senator’s family attempted to escape the city but despite Karsten’s best efforts they were trapped on the freeway and he was unable to protect them. The death of the Senator’s two young children weighs on his conscience. He was alone until he was found by Rhys Barker and his crew, who allowed him to join the group. Karsten has become Rhys’s right hand man and a respected member of the group, though he struggles to integrate socially and is regarded as gruff and taciturn. Languages= Fluent in Danish, Russian, French, German, and English. Speaks passable Albanian, Spanish, and Arabic. Can get by in Mandarin and Japanese if forced. They have secured the walls and barbed wire fences and turned a cell block into a fortress home. The cell block is cold and unwelcoming but has become their home. Zombies are typical to the genre and most dangerous in large numbers. A bite means you will turn and must be exterminated. Other survivors are a threat for resources and living space. Violence, theft, and rape is prevalent as survivors battle for control over the city. The city is overgrown with lush vegetation and all the buildings are crumbling. The crew in the prison is at least 20 strong, mostly friends and allies, all respecting and following Rhys Barker.
