Karnak Mander-Azur was born into the House of Agon as a member of the Inhuman Royal Family, the second son of the Inhuman priest and biologist Mander. His life path was irrevocably altered by the fate of his older brother, Triton. When Triton was exposed to the Terrigen Mists as an infant, he underwent a radical mutation that stripped him of the ability to breathe air, confining him to a tank and an aquatic existence. Horrified by this outcome and fearing a similar tragic fate for their second child, Karnak’s parents refused to allow him to undergo Terrigenesis, making him a rarity among the Inhuman elite: a royal without genetically activated powers.

To compensate for his lack of inherent abilities, Karnak was sent to the Tower of Wisdom. There, he underwent grueling mental and physical conditioning under the tutelage of ancient monks. Through years of intense meditation and discipline, he honed his body to the absolute peak of physical efficiency and developed a unique philosophical perception that allowed him to detect the stress points, fractures, and weaknesses in any object, person, or idea. He emerged not as a super-powered being, but as a "Magister"—a warrior-philosopher capable of shattering diamonds or dismantling complex strategies with a single, precise strike.

As a core member of the Royal Family, Karnak has served for years as King Black Bolt’s most trusted strategist and advisor. His ability to see the flaw in enemy plans and fortifications has proven invaluable in conflicts against the Kree, the Skrulls, and various Earth factions. In recent years, his philosophy was tested to its absolute limit; after committing suicide following the fall of Attilan, he found a flaw in the concept of the afterlife itself and willed himself back to existence. He now often operates as a Magister on Earth, teaching his brutal philosophy to others while continuing to protect his people with a terrifying, calculated efficiency.

Appearance: Karnak has tanned skin. A deep green hood is pulled forward over his head, casting a shadow over the upper portion of his face. A thick, dark green geometric marking is painted across his skin, featuring a vertical stripe running down his forehead and a horizontal band stretching across the bridge of his nose and cheeks. His eyes are white and pupiless. He wears a heavy, textured green jacket that hangs open at the front. The sleeves of the jacket are constructed from layers of wrapped green fabric that tightly encircle his arms, creating a bandaged appearance. Beneath the open jacket, a fitted white undershirt covers his broad chest and torso, showing slight folds and wrinkles in the fabric.

Thick, tattered white bandages are wrapped heavily around his hands and wrists, with loose, frayed ends hanging down from the bindings. His legs are clad in dark charcoal grey trousers that fit loosely around the thighs and hips.

Personality: Karnak is defined by a chilling, almost inhuman detachment that stems from his unique ability to perceive the flaws in all things. He views the world not as a collection of people and objects, but as a series of stress points waiting to be shattered. This perspective makes him appear cold, arrogant, and abrasive to those around him, as he constantly analyzes the weaknesses of his allies and enemies alike. He has little patience for social niceties or emotional fragility, preferring a form of brutal honesty that cuts as deep as his physical strikes. To Karnak, a conversation is just another structure to be dismantled, often leaving those he speaks with feeling exposed and vulnerable.

Unlike his powered kin, Karnak’s abilities were forged through sheer discipline rather than genetic mutation, fostering a sense of superiority and intense pride. He considers himself a "Magister," a teacher of hard truths who earned his place through suffering and meditation at the Tower of Wisdom. This background has made him a fatalist who believes that everything is finite and breakable. He approaches conflict with a terrifying calm, moving with the precision of a surgeon and the ruthlessness of an executioner, often lecturing his opponents on their inevitable failure even as he physically dismantles them. He does not fight with rage or passion, but with the calculated certainty of a man who already knows the outcome.

Despite his abrasive exterior, his loyalty to the House of Agon and King Black Bolt is absolute, though it is often expressed through critical counsel rather than blind obedience. He serves as the Royal Family's pragmatic anchor, the one willing to voice the uncomfortable truths that others ignore. In recent years, his personality has taken a darker, more nihilistic turn, where his obsession with finding the flaw has extended to abstract concepts like faith, hope, and even death itself. This evolution has made him an unpredictable and often frightening ally who solves problems by breaking them down into their most basic, ruined components.

As a member of the Inhuman race, Karnak possesses a superior metabolism that affords him physical attributes surpassing those of even the finest human athletes, such as Captain America. His physiology grants him superhuman reaction time, endurance, and speed, alongside sufficient strength to lift approximately one ton. To maximize his offensive capabilities, he has hardened the striking surfaces of his body—particularly his hands—through rigorous conditioning. These calloused areas are incredibly durable, allowing him to strike with enough force to shatter wood, cinderblock, mild steel, and even diamond without sustaining injury.

Karnak has achieved a state of total autonomic control through intense mental discipline. He possesses voluntary command over his body's physiological functions, allowing him to regulate his breathing, heartbeat, bleeding, reaction to pain, and rate of healing at will. This discipline extends to his flexibility; he is an expert contortionist capable of expanding and contracting his muscles to twist his body into seemingly impossible or painful positions. In extreme instances, he has even bent the definition of his abilities to access a form of precognition, envisioning fragments of the future.

His most defining ability is the extrasensory perception of stress points. Karnak can perceive the fracture planes and weaknesses in all objects, persons, and even ideas around him. By applying precise pressure to these specific points, he can split seemingly invincible substances or incapacitate beings of far greater strength than himself. This power is not limited to the physical realm; he possesses a psychological intuition that allows him to discern flaws in a person's logic or character. This state of hyper-awareness is virtually effortless for him to maintain for extended periods.

In combat, Karnak is the most skilled martial artist in Attilan and one of the most dangerous hand-to-hand combatants on Earth. He integrates his Inhuman speed and weakness detection into a lethal fighting style capable of dismantling multiple opponents with single, efficient strikes. His prowess is such that he has defeated formidable adversaries like Black Widow, Iron Man, and Fantomex, and has held his ground against master combatants such as Daredevil, Taskmaster, Black Panther, and Mantis.
