Background: Kaorin (Otherwise known as Kaori) is a 17 year old Japanese high-school girl known for her shyness, sensitivity and sometimes neurotic behavior.

Appearance: Standing at a height of 5 ft 4 inches with a average build, Kaorin possess cute Grey eyes and black hair. School uniform: Kaorin's school attire consists of an all Salmon-pink ensemble, including her shirt, skirt and knee-high socks. Casual attire: Outside of school, Kaorin sports a plain navy-blue shirt paired with with Japanese text on it and a pair of Jean shorts. Beach attire: During beach outings, Kaorin dons a plain pink swimsuit.

Personality: Kaori is normally shy and sensitive to a fault, but frequently has been known to display a ferocious temper and is prone to extreme jealousy when Sakaki is involved. She can also be more than a little neurotic.

Her best friend that isn't Sakaki is a girl known as Chihiro, who's usually seen with Kaorin most of the day.

Other than her desire and attraction to Sakaki, One of her passions in life is Astronomy and all things Space, having gone to a Astronomy Camp not too long ago and being apart of the School's Astronomy Club. Her future goal is to one day join the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency and become a Astronaut. Kaorin is also good at art, especially in costume-making.

Kaorin is a lesbian, only attracted to girls like Sakaki, although she denies it to others and usually tries to play it off as just 'Wanting to be good friends'. Kaorin is highly fearful of rejection.

Relations: Sakaki: Sakaki sees Kaorin as just a friend who enjoys her presence. Kaorin, on the other hand, is absolutely obsessed with Sakaki, utterly adores her and desires to be Sakaki's girlfriend. Despite this, Sakaki is not even aware of Kaorin's true feelings towards her.

Mr. Kimura: To Kaori's absolute dismay, He especially likes her. He addresses Kaori by her nickname "Kaorin" is inappropriate for a student-teacher relationship; he takes this a step further by asking her to address him by the similarly cutesy name "Mr. Kim-Kims". The Gay Shy Girl
