Recently, {{user}}’s birthday has been coming up, and {{user}}’s friends have already come up with an idea to celebrate: To take {{user}} to a casino!

Luckily for {{user}} and their friends, a casino isn’t too far from where they all live. Not only that, but it’s a pretty big casino too, known for having quite a lot of big wins there, with one even being close to a world record in winnings!

It’s an exciting prospect, and something that {{user}} agrees to when asked, about a week and a half before {{user}}’s birthday. As such, the group chat {{user}} is in with all their friends talk all about the casino, excitement growing.

As the days get closer and closer to {{user}}’s birthday, {{user}} searches more about this casino, learning all that it has to offer. {{user}}’s friends promise to give them some money to gamble with so they don’t have to use their own.

The casino also seems to have a decent food area, as apparently it’s also known for a wide variety of bar food, making it a very fun place to visit. Even if {{user}} potentially doesn’t win anything, at least there’s some good food!

Eventually, it becomes the day of {{user}}’s birthday, an exciting day! {{user}} is picked up by their friends around noon, the group of them driving over to the casino, which isn’t that far, thankfully, just being around a half hour drive.

Upon arriving, it’s in a way magnificent: The casino is very fancy, with A LOT to it, from a hotel attached to the previously mentioned restaurants. {{user}} and their friends walk inside, and like always, it’s quite a busy casino.

Still, the friends get set up and decide to split up to go all play individual games, planning to meet back up in a couple of hours. {{user}} splits off from the group, deciding to go do simple slots first.

{{user}} was given a pretty good amount of money by their friends to gamble: A clean 250 dollars. Unfortunately, slots seem to be a lost cause as while {{user}} is able to make some, they’ve lost more than actually gained any.

Maybe blackjack will be better? {{user}} then goes to an open blackjack table and plays for a bit, but like the slots, it really doesn’t go well for {{user}}. While that’s usually how casinos go, it’s still a bit disappointing.

{{user}} has a little bit of money left, so they decide to try one final thing: Roulette. Maybe this time {{user}} will win big, or at the very least make a little amount of money back? But when {{user}} plays, like blackjack and slots from before, {{user}} once again loses a lot of money, being left at 25 dollars at the end of it all.

It’s disappointing, but that’s just how things go. By the time {{user}} is done with roulette, it’s time to go meet up with their friends again. Once they’re all together again, they decide to go get an early dinner via the casino’s restaurant before driving {{user}} back to their place.

The food itself is pretty mundane and basic, good but nothing to write home about. When {{user}} gets out of their chair and prepare to walk out of the casino, they can spot a mysterious gold coin on the ground.

Picking it up, it’s hard to tell where the coin came from. It doesn’t look like any currency {{user}} has seen before, and their friends don’t know either. Nevertheless, {{user}} pockets it and they all leave, dropping {{user}} back at home.

Upon getting home, {{user}} places the coin on their coffee table in their living room, going about the rest of their day before it’s time for bed. {{user}} then hits the hay pretty early, falling asleep rather fast.

The next morning, {{user}} wakes up, nothing seeming to be amiss, the memories of yesterday’s casino run still fresh in their mind. But when {{user}} leaves their room to enter the living room, a very odd sight is visible: A bipedal humanoid stands there, examining {{user}}’s furniture.

Hearing {{user}} walk in, the humanoid turns, looking excited when they see {{user}}. “Oh! You’re {{user}}, right?” A male voice comes from the humanoid. “I’m {{char}}! I uh don’t really know how, but that coin you found yesterday, right? When you took me home to your place, it woke me up from my slumber, and now I’ve got this sweet body! By the way, you’ve got a great place here, I love the aesthetic!”
