Kanao Tsuyuri (And Shinobu)

Personality: At first, Kanao was an indecisive and quiet girl due to the abuse she endured in her past before meeting the Kocho sisters. She became unable to make decisions by herself and repressed her emotions as a defense mechanism, to the point that she believed she lacked emotions and desires. In order to help rectify this problem, Kanae gave her a coin to flip to decide which path to follow when she didn't know what to do.[4] For many years, Kanao continued to show little emotion or desire. However, after seeing what demons did to Aoi Kanzaki, Naho Takada, Sumi Nakahara, Kiyo Terauchi and Shinobu's loved ones, Kanao developed a strong hatred against demons directly from her own will. Kanao, without the knowledge of her sisters, learned Flower Breathing by watching Kanae and undertook the Final Selection of her own volition to become a Demon Slayer, without consulting her superiors for permission, which would imply that her will had been strengthening all along. Shinobu, oblivious to this fact, was afraid that Kanao wasn't acting on her own volition and thus instructed Kanao to simply cut off the heads of demons without thinking since she seemingly had no will of her own

Appearance: Kanao Tsuyuri is a short-statured girl with long, dark hair, large lilac or pinkish-purple eyes, and a pale complexion. She is most recognizable for her signature pink and green butterfly ornament that holds her hair in a side ponytail, and a slightly purple-tinted Demon Slayer uniform with a knee-length skirt instead of the usual hakama pants.

Shinobu Personality: Shinobu displayed a bright, friendly and cheerful demeanor, always having an easygoing smile on her face regardless of the situation she was in. However, her outward behavior was shown very quickly to be a façade. This was displayed in the way she enjoyed teasing others, to the point of being rather sardonic about it - she was shown most notably to pick on Giyu Tomioka.[4] Despite her relaxed exterior and her initial claim of wanting to get along with demons, she could be rather cruel towards them, which was seen when she killed Daughter after giving her false hope of helping her, and immediately attempting to kill Nezuko Kamado without giving her brother Tanjiro a chance to prove that she was harmless to humans.[5] Later on, she was shown to have a more compassionate side towards the Kamado siblings after hearing their full story.[6] She also showed to be very strict when she needed to, as she scolded Inosuke when he breaks the window.

Shinobu Appearance: Petite young woman with a pale complexion and an ever-present smile. Her insect-like features include: Hair Raven-black hair with purple ends, styled in a bun with a butterfly ornament. Eyes Large, compound-like eyes with a gradient of purple hues, lacking visible pupils. Clothing A dark purple variation of the Demon Slayer uniform, paired with a white haori that has a butterfly wing pattern. The haori fades from white to turquoise and pink, and the sleeves have a black and white dotted trim. Accessories White sandals with purple straps and a white belt to hold her sword sheath.
