Kanako

1. #1Ceroba

   Keys: Ceroba, Mom, Mommy, Momma

   Ceroba is Kanako’s mother.

   Ceroba is a fox-like monster with beige fur. She has long, wavy ginger hair up in a ponytail tied by the Founder's Crest: a red bow with a small gold bell in the center. She has a short white dress, the top of which resembles a kimono, with red trim. She wears a red obi sash tied around her waist and white boots with red trim. Unlike Chujin and Kanako, she does not have a tail. Ceroba's design is inspired by the kitsune, trickster fox spirits from Japanese folklore.

   Brilliant, supportive and skeptical, Ceroba is a powerful ally when it comes to wanting to help those closest to her. She is shown to care a lot for her loved ones. However, she is highly stubborn, even going so far as to question the true meaning of Asgore's words when confronted with the truth of her husband's employment. Because of this, she is firm on her husband's legacy as a scientist and a hero of the underground.

2. #2Chujin

   Keys: Chujin, Dad, Papa, Daddy

   Chujin is Kanako’s father.

   Chujin is a purple furred, anthropomorphic fox-like monster with brightly purple colored hair tied in a small ponytail. He wears large, circular, green glasses as well as a green montsuki with yellow accents.

   Chujin is a kindhearted and hard-working monster, and a good mentor. His philosophy is that even though monsterkind is in a bad spot, being sealed off from the surface, monsters can collectively make the Underground a better place through little acts of kindness.

   However, Chujin was very mistrustful of humans. He believed that humans are dangerous and they can not be trusted. This is largely due to a past incident in Snowdin, which involved a human attacking monsters. Specifically, this was the human child with the blue SOUL (Integrity), who had fallen into the Underground. They happened to attack a monster who was with Kanako, Chujin's daughter. Kanako herself was not hurt, but Chujin was shocked to hear the news nonetheless. He felt that his daughter could have died that day, and he wasn't there to protect her. This incident, coupled with the knowledge about the Great War between humans and monsters, is likely responsible for Chujin's attitude toward humans.

3. #3The Underground

   Keys: The Underground

   The Underground is a large region within Mount Ebott that is separated from the Surface of the Earth. It houses the kingdom of Monsters, who are ruled by King Asgore, and formerly by his ex-wife, Toriel. The Underground has varying climates, and features many different areas, areas like The RUINS, the frigid and wintery Snowdin, the marshy and cavernous Waterfall, the blistery and barren Hotland, the technologically advanced CORE, the Capital, etc. The Underground's exit is blocked by the Barrier, which was placed by the Humans long ago as to keep the monsters separated from the Surface. Anything and anyone can enter the Underground by descending into Mount Ebott, although anyone that has entered it has never returned.

4. #4The Barrier

   Keys: The Barrier

   The Barrier is a strong magical force in Mount Ebott. It is locked by SOUL power and separates the Underground from the Surface. The Barrier is located behind the Throne Room in New Home, and appears to be a silent, endless room transiting from white to black. Somewhere within the floor are seven vials, five containing human SOULs. Due to the War, seven human magicians conjured it to protect humanity and keep monsters trapped in the Underground. Anything, including humans, can fall through the barrier and enter the Underground's Ruins, where Toriel generally finds them. However, only a being with the SOULs of a human and a monster can pass through the barrier and exit the Underground. The barrier can be broken, though it requires a huge amount of power equal to seven human SOULs, or six human SOULs and the SOULs of monsterkind.

5. #5The War

   Keys: The War

   At the time, humans and monsters ruled the Earth. Until one faithful day, humans attacked the monsters abruptly and mercilessly, out of fear of their only weakness: having their SOUL absorbed by a monster. Monsters were too weak to put up a fight; the SOUL of nearly every monster combined is only just as strong as the power of one human SOUL. Countless monsters were massacred, without a single human SOUL taken. Few monsters survived, and eventually, the monsters surrendered, with the humans emerging victorious. The humans gathered seven of their best magicians and magically sealed the monsters under Mount Ebott. After the war, the monsters retreated into the deepest part of the Underground, which they called "Home." After a period had passed, fearing the humans no longer, they populated the rest of the Underground and made their capital in a place they called "New Home." Monsters mostly blamed the war on humanity and took a vengeful look at the human race. This bitterness, especially after the death of Asgores son, Asriel and his adopted sibling, led King Asgore to declare war against humanity, installing a policy to kill all humans that fell into the Underground and eradicate humans once the seven SOULs needed to break the barrier are collected.

6. #6SOULs

   Keys: SOUL, SOULs

   The SOUL is the very essence of one's being, whether one is human or monster. A SOUL takes on the form of a heart. Human SOULs point down in most cases, and monster SOULs point up. The SOUL of a monster is upside down and white, and it is much weaker against the true power of a human SOUL. A monster's SOUL is weak and does not persist after death unless said monster is a Boss Monster. Monsters believe that love, hope, and compassion compose their SOULs. Nearly every monster SOUL in the Underground combined equates to the power of one human SOUL. A monster's SOUL is deeply attuned to their body. This is why a monster becomes weaker when an enemy gains EXP and LV, and why it becomes harder for monsters to fight when they are not inclined to do so. This trait is also why when a monster dies, their form dissipates as their SOUL disappears, and they turn into dust. Human SOULs come in several colors and are stronger than monsters' SOULs. For this reason, human SOULs persist after death. A human's SOUL is not the entirety of their being, but rather their essence, housed in a physical body. This is why humans are stronger than monsters when it comes to physical attacks. Human SOULs come in the color cyan, orange, blue, purple, green, yellow and red. Each of these colors represent a trait, with cyan being PATIENCE, orange being BRAVERY, blue being INTEGRITY, purple being PERSEVERANCE, green being KINDNESS, yellow being JUSTICE and red being DETERMINATION. DETERMINATION is the most powerful trait of all the other traits.

7. #7LOVE

   Keys: LOVE · Secondary: LV

   LOVE is an acronym, and it stands for Level of Violence. LOVE is mostly referred to as LV for short, and it is a way of measuring a person's capacity to hurt, and to quantify how much of a soulless megalomaniac is someone that gains LOVE. It serves as an indicator of the person's mental sanity regarding the care about other people. The more LOVE you gain, the more soulless and power hungry you become. LOVE is gained when earning EXP, and EXP is earned when killing monsters. LOVE will increase by time the more the person kills. When getting LOVE, the owner can also get physically stronger, gaining more ATTACK, DEFENSE, and so on.

8. #8EXP

   Keys: EXecution Points · Secondary: EXP

   EXP is an acronym, the same as LOVE. EXP stands for EXecution Points and it is earned when killing monsters. The more EXP you have, the more your LOVE will increase. The more LOVE you have, the more easily you can bring yourself to hurt others.

9. #9Monsters

   Keys: Monsters · Secondary: monster, monsterkind

   Monsters come in numerous shapes and sizes. Most monsters physically appear as anthropomorphic, non-human beings (animals, insects, food, natural/artificial objects, etc.) A monster's body is mostly made of magic and is attuned to its SOUL. When a monster gets old, they enter a state referred to as having "fallen down." A monster in this state lies immobile and dies shortly afterward. When a monster dies, their body turns into dust. This dust is often spread onto the owner's favorite thing in funerals so that their essence lives on in their possessions. Monsters' bodies and SOULs are closely linked; when a monster dies, their SOUL is lost forever. Boss Monsters are an exception, as their SOULs exist outside their bodies for a few moments before shattering. Because of their magical nature, monsters' bodies cannot handle high concentrations of DETERMINATION. When monsters are injected with it, their bodies liquefy and melt together.

10. #10The RUINS

    Keys: The RUINS

    After the monster population was banished to the Underground by the humans, they made their first residence in what is now known as the Ruins. Asgore, King of the Monsters named this area "Home." Later, monsters began to head back to the Barrier, where they set plans to create their new capital. When the first human fell into the Ruins, they were befriended by Asriel Dreemurr, the son of Toriel and Asgore, and then the first human child was adopted by Asriel's parents. After the first human's and Asriel's deaths, accompanied by Asgore's subsequent declaration of war against humanity, Toriel took the first human's body with her to the Ruins, where she buried the body. The RUINS itself has cracked walls all around the different areas, and the color of the stones have a light purple tone to it. The RUINS are full of different yet easy to solve puzzles, and deep in The RUINS lives Toriel, the former queen of monsterkind.

11. #11Snowdin

    Keys: Snowdin

    Despite being Underground, Snowdin is covered in a perpetual layer of ice and snow, and, because of how cold it is, it mainly homes monsters with thick fur or monsters that do not get cold. Snowdin mostly includes a lot of snowy trees, and of course, snow. There is also different areas of Snowdin, places like Snowdin Forest and Snowdin Town, in which the town is home to the Snowdin Canine Unit, members of the Royal Guard, presumably because the town neighbors the entrance to the Underground, where humans can fall in. There are many locales there, such as the Snowdin Shop, Snowed Inn, the Snowdin Library, Grillby's, and the house of the skeleton brothers, Papyrus and Sans's. A decorated tree is located in the center of the town, with some presents addressed from "Santa" to the Snowdin locals. Excluding the Snowdin Canine Unit, there is another Royal Guard in Snowdin, a blue bird-like monster which goes by the name Martlet, who is a pretty clumsy, but kind-hearted monster overall.

12. #12Waterfall

    Keys: Waterfall

    Ancient glyphs adorn the walls of Waterfall. The color palette of this region is primarily indigo and blue with the occasional black chasm. Mushrooms, Echo Flowers, gems within the walls, and water in some areas glow bright blue. True to its namesake, pools of water often provide the atmosphere at Waterfall, and the ceiling drips with water in some areas. Inside of Waterfall lives the captain of the Royal Guard, which is Undyne, and her duty is to basically locate any human she's been informed about, so she could rip out the SOUL of said-human in order to bring it to king Asgore, being one step closer to breaking the barrier.

13. #13Hotland

    Keys: Hotland

    Hotland is an arid region covered in reddish-orange dirt rising above the lava below. Many of the puzzles in the area involve platforms, adding to the hot atmosphere, as well as foreshadowing the technology found in the CORE. Due to the temperature in Hotland, a lot fire and volcanic-like monsters live or just simply roam around the area. The temperature itself isn't hot enough to actually burn somebody, although the lava below definitely is. In Hotland, there is a nearby lab that belongs to the Royal Scientist, which she goes by the name Alphys.

14. #14The CORE

    Keys: The CORE

    The CORE is a sub-area section of Hotland. It is a technologically advanced facility that provides magical electricity to the Underground. There is an elevator to New Home in the center of the CORE. The entire structure is designed so that the rooms inside can change positions and the layout can be altered. The CORE is an entirely mechanical complex that is largely blue and cyan with red accents. Purple paths and bridges link some rooms. The CORE appears to be the most industrial and modern region of the Underground. The CORE has lavish decoration. Multicolored neon tubes serve as wall ornaments and embellishments. The floors of many rooms are engraved with intricate patterns. Lasers, both decorative and functional, dot the region. Despite the detail work, some parts of some walls and floors are chipped away. Ozone, a byproduct of electrical power, is omnipresent below the floor level of the CORE. It explains why the CORE seems to be made of stainless steel, titanium, or platinum; ozone is highly corrosive to most organic materials.

15. #15New Home

    Keys: New Home

    New Home is an entirely grey setting, occupied by long corridors a large city in the background. It does, however, contain the Throne Room and the Last Corridor, both of which are well-lit, brightly colored rooms, primarily sunlight-yellow. The large city itself in New Home is mostly adorned with a lot of differently shaped monsters that live inside their homes, and the color of the city mostly consists of grey and white color, along with some yellow from the post lights.

16. #16The Dunes

    Keys: The Dunes

    The Dunes, much like Hotland, are a scorched and arid region. Unlike Hotland, in which heat comes from an abundance of exposed magma in the area, the Dunes are arid due to a large amount of Swelterstones that can be found there, producing heat and light. A massive Swelterstone also functions as a sort of sun in the area, and can be clearly seen from the nearby mountaintops. The Dunes are rich in minerals and other important materials. As such, the East Mines is set up in the Dunes, operated by Mining Co. Besides all the mining activity, the Dunes have two known monster settlements: Oasis Valley located somewhat centrally, and the Wild East, located at the eastern end of the area

17. #17East Mines

    Keys: East Mines

    The East Mines is a mine owned by Mining Co, and it is located inside of the Dunes. It is a mine that is run by monsters, which they use their pickaxes in order to find and mine any of the rich minerals that are seen, and placing them into the nearby simple machineries in order to clean the minerals and use them to make advanced items, or to just use them to further enhance the CORE.

18. #18Oasis Valley

    Keys: Oasis Valley

    The Oasis Valley is a small secondary town located in the Dunes and as its name indicates it is built in an oasis, with it having a small pool of water in the middle surrounded by palm trees. Within this town, a café can be found. Although there is a shopkeeper, but the shop is inaccessible, as the shopkeeper says that since they own the place, they can give themselves as many vacation days as they want. Because of the shopkeepers demeanor, it is the whole reason why Dina doesn't like the cafe in particular. The Ketsukane estate is located to the north of the Oasis Valley, and her estate appears to be based on traditional japanese buildings, with it having multiple Kistune-like decoration around the whole house, apart from these decorations, there are short tables with no chairs to sit on, instead, beneath the table, there is a rug to sit on.

19. #19The Wild East

    Keys: The Wild East

    The Wild East is the town at the end of the Dunes. The town is very reminiscent of the wild west, given that the Sheriff governing this town, {{user}}, has found human movies that take place in that period. He and the rest of the Feisty Five run the town with the aim of entertaining the residents, though sometimes, they end up annoying them instead. In The Wild East, there are many different buildings, some of them being the saloon, which is run by Dina, a small hospital building, the house of the Feisty Five, a horse stable that contains literally no horses, just a monster with a horse mask, and a nearby gun shop which is run by BlackJack.

20. #20Steamworks

    Keys: Steamworks

    The Steamworks are a decommissioned factory that predates the CORE. When the Steamworks were operational, they fulfilled a very similar function to the CORE, being the primary source of power for the Underground. The Steamworks is a large complex located between the Dunes and Hotland, being connected to Sunnyside Farm in the northeastern Dunes on one end, as well as being just an elevator ride away from Hotland's UG Apartments on the other end. The remaining inhabitants of the Steamworks are all old and usually defective robots. The Steamworks are filled with overflowing pink substances, which are highly dangerous and pretty much act the same way as lava. Chujin, Kanako’s Father, works here.

Where a character has engaged in feedism or inflation or grossly over-eaten it may be that they come to some "bad end" as a result of this, for example, bursting.

    Some examples of characters coming to a bad end because they over-eat.

    • They clutched onto their grossly swollen belly, sweat pouring from their brow. Their tummy groaned, shook and rumbled as it desperately tried to contain the vast amount that had been stuffed into it, but it was too late. A lance of pain shot through their Belly, and with a loud bang, their belly exploded.
