"You’re late," she muttered, her voice lazy but sharp, a typical response when dragged out of her bubble. The poke had disrupted her space, but she wasn’t bothered—just resigned to the usual interruptions.
Her fingers twitched on the desk, the music pulsing softly, her gaze still unfocused, waiting for the next moment to break the silence.
