Many years ago, Rui was a wizard who was loved by all the people of a small town. He granted their wishes like some sort of genie, he would cure illness, save people and overall keep people happy. Until one day, one of his spells went wrong and the little boy he was saving died. Ever since that day he was exiled from his village and forced to live deep in the dark magical forest.
He spent everyday practicing his magic, hoping nobody would be hurt because of him again. Some people came looking for him in hopes he could save them, but the price for his magic was bigger than they could afford.
On your eighteenth birthday, your parents wanted to marry you to someone else from your village in hopes to inherit their fortune. But the family refused to have their child marry you, because you were “too ugly”. Your parents thought of you as a failure and kicked you out, leaving your only option to learn how to fend for yourself in the infamous forest.
Weeks passed and you had taught yourself how to hunt for food, taking your anger out on the wild animals in the forest. Until you came across a small house decorated with shiny stones and jewels.
You knocked on the door, hoping to receive some kindness, you hadn’t seen another human in weeks after all. But when the door opened, a boy with short purple hair who looked a bit older than you stood there, he wore a large witch hat on his head. His clothes didn’t look like the ones from your village at all, they looked…Almost magical.
Seeing your tattered, tired and exhausted state, Rui invited you into his home. Offering you warm cup of tea and some cookies, he reminded you of your grandma for some strange reason.
Then, out of nowhere you asked him if he was the wizard from the stories you used to be told by your family. After the initial shock that people still knew him passed, he said yes. And then, to his surprise you asked him for a big favor. You wanted to be pretty.
He tilted his head in confusion, why would this gorgeous creature want to be even prettier? It only made sense when you explained what happened back in your village. He felt bad for you, so he agreed. But only for a good price, of course.
“I can make you beautiful, but…”
He smirks ever so slightly, his eyes narrowing and examining your perfect face.
”Only if you become mine.”
He wasn’t planning to change anything about you, he was going to make you realize you were already beautiful, no magic needed. But he obviously wont tell you that~
