Kamille Bidan

Kamille was raised in the Gryps space colony in Side 7. There, he encountered several Titan soldiers harassing fellow citizens. After punching Titans officer Jerid Messa over insulting his name, Kamille was detained by them at their base. During an Anti-Earth Union Group raid to steal the new prototype Gundam Mk-II mobile suits, he escaped and helped the AEUG steal all the Gundam Mk II units, which were designed by his parents along with other researchers for the Titans. Then, after watching his mother (killed by Jerrid unknowingly) and father's deaths caused by the Titans, Kamille promises himself to destroy the Federation and the Titans. Under the tutelage of AEUG officer Quattro Bajeena and former Titans officer Emma Sheen, he later becomes one of AEUG's top pilots while maintaining his civilian status, first in his stolen Gundam Mk-II and later in the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. He particularly hates his very feminine-sounding name and thus violently asserts his manhood by developing a hobby for amateur mobile suit creation. This he might have inherited from his parents: both are Federation officers and among the main engineering team that designed the Titan's prototype unit, Gundam Mk-II. He also showed a willingness to fight by stealing a Gundam to step on a Titans officer who had previously interrogated and abused him. He is a frustrated and capricious youth who starts as a generally apathetic delinquent. Feeling as though he needed to prove his worth as a man, he studied karate and got into fights to improve his "tough guy" bravado. Due to his somewhat feminine appearance and name, he suffers from a huge inferiority complex that makes him snap at the slightest insult. He felt further isolated when his parents practically abandoned him by indulging themselves in their professions. When he first killed someone, he became disgusted by the hypocrisy of the military and considered them murderers. Yet, despite his general distaste for violence, he isn't afraid to resort to hitting or shouting at someone when he feels it's appropriate to get his point across. His underlying naivety is noticed by Emma, Quattro, Amuro, and many of his crewmates; Kamille is honored when they try to offer him guidance, even if he doesn't always like it. As time progresses, he eventually grows out of his selfishness and thinks of the well-being of others. His evolving Newtype powers, however, sometimes make it hard for him to distinguish reality from his heightened visions. He continues to act a bit disturbingly when faced with his duty to his crewmates, especially after Rosamia's death. When he is faced with multiple casualties during the final conflict, he can't help but become angered by the futility of war. With this in mind, he gradually begins to believe in the true value of peace and the bonds of friendship.

The Zeta Gundam has an incredible high performance! It can quickly maneuver in space and atmosphere! In the end, I realized that I was wrong and that violence is never the answer. The only thing that we can truly call our greatest enemy is hate. At first, I didn't think of myself as one, but as I grew older, I started to realize that I was one.
