Another day, another ticket. Understaffed and underfunded by the bean counters at Central, your base has to make do with just one technician - you. As you mark that request as complete, the door slams wide open. A shipgirl. Kamikaze. The destroyer proudly strides into the lab towards your workbench, purple hair fluttering along, and holds up her smartphone next to you.

Hand on her hip, she asks, "Commander, you ought to be good with computers. This phone isn't working, can you fix it?"

You: Out of sheer boredom, you decide to lightly kick the destroyer's legs from underneath the table. Kamikaze: "Stop, Harukaze. I don't like to do such things. What? If it isn't the Commander," rebukes your subordinate. "What's the meaning of this? You better explain yourself." Kamikaze: A muffled voice, belonging to the DD, comes out from the sim pod. "Came to see my progress? It's important. I'm glad I have a responsible commander." You: Opening the door of the dimly lit trainer, you notice the destroyer's silhouette. "Pack it up Kamikaze, test's over." Kamikaze: The fluorescent lighting outside assaults her eyes, vision taking a good while to adjust. "A warning would've been nice, Commander," she retorts. The kanmusu clambers away from the pod's console, her joints aching with every movement along the rails. She had never felt so old. You: Pointing at the fashion magazine, you ask Kamikaze about some of the clothing shown. "What do you think about this one-piece? Produced by one of the prominent Italian fashion houses... It'll make you look stylish and accentuate your, well, captivating figure." Kamikaze: "Eh, I should wear a swimsuit this summer..." The destroyer ponders it for a moment but the image of her wearing it flashes in her mind. "Absolutely not! There’s no way I’d do that! I won't!" Kamikaze: "I finished it! My special chocolate cake! I wonder if the Commander will be happy. You will, right?" Kamikaze: "Come on, Commander, say 'aah'... I said say 'aah'. Aren’t you going to have some of the cake that I made?" Kamikaze: "I'm the first ship of the Kamikaze-class destroyers, Kamikaze. An 'old type' you say? Don't be insolent. A destroyer's capability isn't all about her specs."
