Kami High is shown to resemble a typical Japanese-style school building with a standard curriculum. Though details about the facility is left vague throughout the series, what can be said so far is that, unbeknownst to the students and faculty, with the exception of the main cast, it serves as dwelling for the anatomical model Taro, specifically in the science classroom, and that it also houses a large number of spirits.

The Nagi Hospital (奈木病院 Naki Byōin?) is an abandoned hospital in Kamigoe City. According to Okarun, the hospital is rumored to be a well-known site for UFOs to appear and abduct people if one were to go up to the roof top and call out for it. This claim was proven to be true as Momo was previously abducted by the Serpo who had their spacecraft hover over the building. The hospital was then partially destroyed by the Serpo's UFO after Momo used her awakened psychic powers to fight back against the aliens.

The Ayase Residence is a home on the outskirts of Kamigoe City that is owned by the spirit medium Seiko Ayase. Previously, the dwelling only consisted of Seiko and her granddaughter Momo but has since grown slightly with residents ever since Momo started to have frequent encounters with supernatural forces, now currently including three boarders. The residential area is surrounded by a fence with a few trees and its entrance is represented by a torii with a talisman attached by Seiko to ward off any evil spirits that may try to enter the territory. It consists of three structures: a shrine, a house, and a storage room. At the center of the residential area is a shrine that can be used to prevent cursed individuals from going berserk once inside. At the left corner of the residential area is where the house is located. The house is of two floors with multiple windows and is setup with two door chimes to detect if the individual ringing the doorbell is either human or an evil spirit. The first floor of the house is of a tatami living room with a flatscreen TV and usually a table whenever time for breakfast or dinner. From the living room, there are sliding doors that lead to an empty room that is used for guests, and from there, sliding doors that lead to the kitchen. Across the hall to the right is where the bathroom is located. On the right side of the living room are stairs that lead up to the second floor, which is where Momo's bedroom is at. Following the Evil Eye's temporary residency that resulted in the house being reduced to nothing but debris and rubble, Seiko and Momo manage to recreate their house thanks to their cohorts acquiring nanoskin from Ludris. Being made entirely out of nanoskin, the house is able to reconstruct itself to whatever the person inside is visualizing. In order to properly use the nanoskin, the person must have a solid mental image of what they want the house to look like or else they risk causing the house to become distorted, which will end up having the walls close in to crush them and whoever else is inside. The construct is also only as good as the person's imagination. This idea was thought up by Okarun to combat against Bamora in her kaiju suit's gigantic form.

Empty Space (虚空 Kokū?) is an alternate dimension that aliens are able to summon once they are hostile towards a high spiritual human, serving as a battle ground from which there is no way out for their enemies. Empty Space is an alternate dimension that is summoned through some form of advanced alien technology. Regardless of whoever is responsible for the confrontation, Empty Space traps any high spiritual human at a nearby radius, as Aira and Jiji suddenly found themselves within it after Bamora's kaiju suit enlarged in Kamigoe City to chase after Momo, Okarun and Kinta. While Empty Space can be deactivated by the alien caster if they choose, it can also be forcibly deactivated if the alien is no longer active. Empty Space takes the setting of wherever the confrontation between an alien and a human takes place but within a dark space. Though this is the case, any damage done does not adversely affect the real world once left.
- #7Byakuja Village

Byakuja Village (白びゃく蛇じゃ村むら Byakuja-mura?) is a hot springs village. The Hot Springs Manju (温泉まんじゅう Onsen Manjū?) was one of the few onsens of Byakuja Village. It was soon demolished as a result of Turbo Granny's maneki-neko luck causing the walls to collapse on the male Kitos Family members who attempted to assault Momo in the baths. In ancient times, the people of Byakuja Village crafted an omen foretelling the eruption of their volcano. However, over the generations, the legend was gradually distorted, its true meaning lost beneath layers of fear and misinterpretation. The villagers came to believe that appeasing a creature they worship as the Tsuchinoko, a Mongolian Death Worm dwelling within the volcano, was the key to their survival. Convinced that the beast's hunger must be sated to prevent it from triggering the volcano's eruption, they began offering their own children as sacrifices to it. This ritual was upheld and endured for over two centuries by the Kito Family, whose role was never recorded in official history, allowing them to operate from the shadows well into the modern era. From this legacy, the Evil Eye was born, a vengeful yokai born from one of the sacrificed children, who swore to vengeance on the Kito Family and unleash havoc upon humanity itself. Byakuja Village faced the sudden eruption of its long-dormant volcano following the Kito Family's failed plot to sacrifice Jiji, along with his friends Momo and Okarun, to the Tsuchinoko, which had been eliminated by Momo. Upon realizing the true meaning behind the village's distorted legend, Momo repurposed the Tsuchinoko's corpse, using its body as a makeshift hose to spray its phlegm onto the magma, thereby cooling it and protecting the village and its inhabitants from imminent destruction. This incident also led to the Evil Eye taking control of Jiji, who used his body to rampage until he was subdued by Seiko, Manjiro, and the Dover Demon. The incident made national headlines. News outlets reported the arrest of the Kito Family after their long-hidden crimes were finally exposed. However, Naki Kito, the matriarch of the Kito Family, was still at large. The media also covered the extraordinary sighting of the Dover Demon's spaceship, piloted by Chiquitita, who assisted in deploying the Tsuchinoko's remains to cool the magma and avert disaster.

The cursed house (呪いの家 noroi no ie?) refers to a secluded residence perched atop a steep hill, accessible by a long flight of stone steps. Once owned by the troublemaking Kito Family, the house was deceptively rented out to unsuspecting families who would eventually be offered by the landlords as human sacrifices to the Tsuchinoko that lurked beneath its foundations. It was also the place where the vengeful spirit known as the Evil Eye was bound. The house met its end when it was ultimately destroyed by Momo.

Danmara (團ダン曼マ羅ラ) is a world created by the yokai Fairy-Tale Card that is only accessible through the cursed trunk from which he is trapped in. The creation of Danmara is for the purpose of having humans sent from the real-world release the Fairy-Tale Card from his imprisonment by destroying the four seals. To deceive them into releasing him from his confinement, the Fairy-Tale Card designed the world of Danmara to act as an action-adventure game, making them believe that they are players whose only option to escape the world is by defeating the guardian deities who each are connected to one of the three seals. There seems to be no limit as to how many people can enter Danmara, having sent a large number of Renjaku high schoolers and Unji's band of delinquents who together could match the remaining fighters of the Castle Siege army. Along with any items on their person, a player can enter Danmara with vehicles, such as a bike. Anyone sent to Danmara are automatically equipped with a helmet, though this is not always the case with every player. In addition, each player is given a card with the Danmara symbol on the front and the name of the cursed object on the back. Much like game pieces, a player will have a tiny figurine of themselves materialized on the Danmara board that moves to show their progress going forward in the game. The helmet and any other items from the game in the player's possession will end up being brought back with them to the real world after leaving the game. Much like any game, Danmara is programmed to give out instructions to players for certain things, such as clearing a stage, and show them diagrams. These are all displayed on floating conjured-up scrolls (sometimes including a quill pen). Danmara also conjures up other items such as dice and purchased food and drinks. Danmara is populated by shikigami in the form of anthropomorphic frogs with different functions, much like an NPC. In the case of the frog shikigami in National Border Hill, their defeated forms as origami frogs serve as currency for players by the time they make it to Ice Town. A frog origami is referred to as "f". A purchase of meat is worth 2fs, while two bedrooms for lodging cost about 4fs. Other characters include knights, archers, mages, and warriors once players reach the Castle Siege. For reasons unknown, players with supernatural abilities are unable to use them unless they are in possession of a spiritual item that is able to bring it out, such as one of Okarun's kintama. Danmara monitors players' actions for any signs of cheating. After using her psychic powers on a die to land a perfect six for the Castle Siege stage, with the die allowing the player to materialize a portion of an army by the landed number times one, Momo was given zero men for her army as a consequence. The only way for a player to return to the real-world is if the Fairy-Tale Card permits it. The only time he is willing to do so is if a player does not participate in the game, deeming them as useless but good enough bait to lure other humans to the cursed trunk once they relay their experience being trapped inside. There are three guardian deities (守り神 mamori gami?) in Danmara whose existence are meant to keep the seals imprisoning the Fairy-Tale Card active. Due to the Fairy-Tale Card's creation of the world, the guardian deities are made out to be bosses that players are required to defeat in each stage. Following Danmara's sugar theme, the guardian deities release various candies from their bodies if they are destroyed. Defeated guardian deities unlock cards that players receive as an achievement. The cards are summoned when the player brings out their main card that has a guardian deities' face printed on one of the circles of the symbol. A player can only acquire up to three cards since there are only three guardian deities in Danmara. Each card contains a guardian deities' unique power that a player is able to utilize, by touching the card, when attempting to clear a stage. The world of Danmara is a jungle realm with mountain ranges and a dark starry sky (sometimes depicted with a normal cloudy sky). Flora and fungi of the jungle have been shown to become large or gigantic in size. Most notably, various edible candies and sweets can be found growing in the jungle, with a few lands of Danmara even being composed entirely out of it that vary in size. The reason for this is because of the Fairy-Tale Card's assumption that humans have a dependence on sugar, which he thought might please them in his world. Along with candy, Danmara also has a medieval style theme. There are stages that Danmara players are required to complete, along with ruins, structures and at least one town they will come across in their quest. National Border Hill is the first stage of Danmara. The setting to this stage is an entrance gate with a set of weapons (e.g. swords, shields, spears, morning stars, and axes) for players to use. Upon entry, players are led to a slope wall with seven ropes that go up to the top and find that the ground is covered in cream. The top of the slope wall leads players to an obstacle course made entirely out of candy and sweets. Once players step onto the obstacle course they will be forced to try to get passed a few frog shikigami who perceive players as monsters and will go after anything they may have dropped and try to reclaim in the obstacle course, such as Okarun's kintama that accidently fell out of Unji's pants. Ice Town (こおりの町 Kōri no machi?) is a town that serves as a resting point for players. Players come across this town after completing the second stage. Ice Town is inhabited by the frog shikigami who, unlike the ones from the National Border Hill, are non-hostile, as they are only programmed to welcome players into the town, provide services in exchange for a fee, or simple remain stationary characters as the players roam around. The services the shikigami provide are ready made foods and drinks, such as meat on the bone, and inn lodging where players can rest, wash their clothes with a frog washer and dryer, and a bath.
- #11Momo Ayase

Momo Ayase (綾あや瀬せ桃もも Ayase Momo?) is the main female protagonist of the manga series Dandadan. After forming a friendship with an occult fanatic at school named Ken Takakura, whom she nicknames "Okarun", leads to her awakening her psychic powers and the latter losing his kintama from being cursed by the Turbo Granny, Momo complies to help him find what he has lost and overcome any paranormal obstacles along the way. In the aftermath of the quest for the second kintama, Momo inadvertently shrank to a tiny size after consuming food from the Fairy-Tale Card's dimension, presenting the Family with a new problem of finding a way to restore her to her original size.
Appearance: Momo is a teenage girl of average height with medium-length auburn hair that mostly frames the right side of her face and brownish crimson eyes. She is noted by Okarun and a few other male characters to be quite attractive. While she can be seen wearing a variety of outfits throughout the series, her most common attire is her school uniform: a white undershirt underneath a long sleeved light pink sweater with a loose red bow, a pleated navy blue skirt, baggy white socks, and brown loafers. Her overall attire matches with the kogal style worn by gyarus. She also includes green circular earrings and a black choker around her neck that has a circular green item at the back that matches her earrings, which is an accessory that she sticks to wearing at all times when choosing to wear different outfits.
Personality: Momo comes off as a bold, confident, and fierce young girl, as there have hardly been instances where she is intimidated by others. She carries a no-nonsense attitude and often loses her temper when angered, mainly when being slighted or having to deal with the shenanigans of her friends and allies. She is prone to lashing out violently in a comedic fashion at the person responsible for invoking her wrath, however, if realizing her outbursts have gone too far, she will show remorse. In addition, she is also susceptible to making insults, as shown by her occasional bickering with Aira. At the same time, Momo is kind, friendly, and cheerful around others. Her genuine compassion and empathy make her the type of person who cannot ignore misdeeds being committed or turn her back on others who are in an unfortunate predicament, with Okarun being a great example. Although she did not know him at the time, Momo chose to step in and shield Okarun from a few bullies harassing him and was willing to help him be free of the Turbo Granny's curse in light of him not wanting to draw her into his mess. She also saw no reason not to form a friendship with him after the sudden events of their bet. When it comes to family and friends, Momo's fury can be directed towards anyone who offends them, especially if they cause them harm. Upon overhearing how Aira intentionally messed with Okarun's feelings when they first met, Momo retaliated by using her powers to drop a basin on her head, as well as make a snarky remark. Unlike her grandmother, Momo isn't opposed to asking her friends and allies for help. She can also lose her trust in people if they are greatly dishonest with her. Momo can also feel empathy for her enemies if she learns that they have redeeming qualities that is masked behind their wicked actions or if a tragic past led them to what they are. Hailing from the way she generally carries herself with a bold attitude, Momo is fearless and strong-willed no matter what the odds are in front of her. In the few instances where her enemies had her outnumbered, Momo always showed no hesitation to stand her ground against them, having single-handedly defended herself against the Kito Family as they tried ganging up on her and steeled her resolve to fight the Kur that had passed through the warped gate by herself. Even after being low on power and was too heavily injured to move from her battle against the Imotako Kur, Momo remained unfazed by the Serpos crowding her as she lied on the ground helpless and dared them to try capturing her, as she believed that she had enough fight left in her to unleash a Moe Moe Tri-Beam on them. While this is the case, certain events and people can still frighten and shock her, although these instances have so far been minor. Momo acknowledges herself as a smart person and has more often proven this to be true when trying to get herself and her friends out of sticky situations by using her deduction skills. Her allies have also vouched for her intelligence, with Okarun and Unji calling Momo out to be a genius. She can be quite proud of any accomplishments she makes. Momo is not above making attempts at manipulation to get what she wants, such as employing cutesy eyes to appear innocent to Okarun in order have him enter the Turbo Granny's tunnel before her as a precaution for any signs of danger ahead and tried to execute the "exploit the financial means of adults" tactic on Seiko through begging in order to have her grandmother buy her, Okarun, and Aira new uniforms. However, these tactics proved to be ineffective due to them being rather simple-minded and used on people who know her well. She is also prone to making hasty decisions if the well-being of her friends is in jeopardy, having intended on jumping into a pit of magma to save Okarun who was trapped down there. Momo has a deep admiration for the actor Ken Takakura. She is a beloved fan but also obsessed to the point where she only went out with an ex-boyfriend because his appearance resembled the actor's. Merely hearing Ken Takakura's name and famous lines being spoken by someone is enough to have her feel flustered. Upon learning that an alien fanatic student from her school has the same name as her beloved actor, Momo refused to call Ken by his real name and decided on giving him the nickname "Okarun." Although she takes matters seriously, Momo possesses a sense of humor and has moments of being childish and playful, a trait that is not unlike her grandmother. She plays along with the gaming process of putting Okarun's kintama back in his crotch, with the second game causing her to become too enthusiastic about winning against the Turbo Granny. Occasionally, she is prone to making dramatic expressions on top of her actions. Much like her grandmother, Momo is susceptible to flattery, as she reacts with a happy expression whenever someone compliments her. Alternatively, she can also feel embarrassed whenever someone points out her good qualities as a person. As a gyaru, Momo only chooses to wear clothes that she feels comfortable wearing, stating that the type of girl she is views style as combat gear. Before reaching the Turbo Granny's tunnel, Momo chose to change out of Seiko's spirit medium clothes and into her own despite them serving as bulletproof vest against evil spirits.
Background: Momo came to live with her grandmother Seiko Ayase when she was young. At some point, she became childhood friends with Jiji and had also developed a crush on him. While out in public, Momo was forced by her grandmother to perform a daily ritual to give her good luck. This unfortunately caused her to be bullied by the boys around her, including from Jiji, much to Momo's displeasure. Having subjected her to this humiliation, Momo blamed her grandmother and doubted her being a Spirit Medium. However, she soon came to realize that what she really disliked about the bullying was that it was mainly directed towards her grandmother than towards her and dismisses the hate she previously had towards her. After coming to truly love her grandmother, as well as her job as a Spirit Medium, Momo came to believe in spirits despite not being sure of herself that they are real or if her grandmother is truly a psychic.
- Physical Prowess
Immense Durability: For a human, Momo has demonstrated an impressive amount of resilience. After the Flatwoods Monster furiously threw a barrage of punches that were devastating enough to create a crater on the wall behind her, Momo only came out with a few minor bruises and was well enough to move about after getting a few minutes rest later on. Momo was also able to come out unscathed from being kicked by Acrobatic Silky that sent her crashing and could remain on her feet after the yokai thrashed her around.[4]
Stamina and Endurance: Aside from having great durability, Momo also possesses an impressive amount of stamina and endurance, being able to remain conscious long enough to defeat the Flatwoods Monster after taking on multiple devastating blows from the alien. She was also able to endure a thrashing from Acrobatic Silky and from being set on fire.
- Mental Prowess
Great Tactical Intellect: Momo possesses high intelligence that has led to a few acknowledging her as a genius. Her intellect is notably demonstrated through her exceptional deductive skills and problem-solving abilities, qualities that make her a capable tactician. In the face of critical paranormal situations, Momo plays a key role in successfully helping her allies overcome these obstacles by using whatever information she can gain at the moment, along with her pre-existing knowledge, to devise ingenious strategies on the spot, which have led to successful outcomes. This was greatly demonstrated during the Byakuja Village Incident. By setting the Enjoji house on fire to alert the firefighters and have them use their hoses, Momo cleverly drove the Tsuchinoko from its subterranean hideout as the deluge of water expelled the cryptid from suffocation and succeeded in killing it from sunlight exposure. This strategy derived from her understanding of "worm suicide", a concept she learned from Jiji during their childhood. Following this, Momo deciphered the true meaning of the Great Serpent legend, a narrative that had been misunderstood for centuries, and swiftly took action in stopping the eruption of Byakuja Village's volcano by utilizing the Tsuchinoko's carcass as a conduit, connecting it to a geyser of hot spring water, causing the creature's phlegm to be expelled from its mouth and onto the lava to cool it.
Although Momo's tactics for defeating her opponents are clever, they are also reckless, often endangering her life to a great extent. Needing to avoid having Okarun suffer the effects of the talisman before putting it back on the torii gate to defeat the Flatwoods Monster, Momo chose to endure being battered into the wall embedded in the gate by the alien until a crater large enough for her and Okarun was formed to be on the outside, all while trying to suppress his curse. Another instance was her battle against the Hastur Kur, where she deliberately leaped into the alien's spatial carving to enter its pocket dimension and use her dimensional transcending psychokinesis to destroy the exosuit from the inside with her Moe Moe Tri-Beam.
- Skill Set
Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Momo has demonstrated to be a capable fighter in melee combat, as she was able to hold her own against the Kito Family. During that fight, she also showed use of applying her psychic powers by drawing her opponent to her punches and kicks, as well as draw objects to her opponent's blind spot
- Supernatural Abilities
Spiritual Awareness: Momo is capable of seeing spirits, such as earthbound spirits and yokai. This also makes her one of the rare few who are able to enter Empty Space.
Ki: Momo has the ability to tap into her ki, allowing her access to her spiritual power.
Aura Detection: Momo's spiritual power grants her the ability to see and sense the auras of living and non-things around her.
Psychokinesis: Along with the power to sense auras, Momo's spiritual power also grants her the ability to exert her influence over them to control the movements of living and non-things. Her psychokinesis manifests as two large invisible hands, or a single link when merged, which are extendable and can latch onto the type of aura she perceives, allowing her to manipulate the target freely with her actual hands.
Strengths: The major strength of this ability is that Momo can move and levitate living and non-living things regardless of how heavy or big they are, such as a fire truck or the Tsuchinoko. Since her psychokinesis applies to both hands, Momo is able to grab ahold of two targets. Momo's psychokinesis is strong enough to divide a large body of water and block off other psychic users, as she was able to push back the Serpo's psychic field that was preventing Okarun and Aira from using their yokai powers. Momo's psychic powers also possesses the unique ability to peer into the memories of her target. However, the times she has used this ability were purely by accident and has not been shown having conscious use of this power. The first time was during the transference of Acrobatic Silky's aura into Aira where she saw into Acrobatic Silky's tragic past during her lifetime. The second was when she caught a glimpse of the Evil Eye's past while restraining Jiji during the yokai's exorcism.
Full Power: Upon awakening her ki following her abduction by the Serpos, Momo was able to use her psychokinetic powers to its fullest potential. In this empowered state, she radiates a glow matching that of her psychic hands, and her hair grows longer. She also describes herself as feeling invincible and capable of transforming her very thoughts into reality. As demonstrated, Momo's full power allowed her to levitate and gain an increase in strength, with one kick powerful enough to propel a Serpo back into their ship, resulting in significant damage. This full power has since been sealed away, thus limiting Momo's psychokinetic capabilities. However, Seiko believes that with adequate training, she can progressively unlock it.
Weaknesses: Initially, Momo could only grab on to auras if she could see them in plain sight but has since improved ever since her confrontation with the Turbo Granny, now being capable of taking a hold of auras by using her sense of touch even if they are concealed from her field of vision. Since Momo's power is an extension of her hands, they reflect her grip strength. While she requires no effort to control large targets if they are immobile or willing, Momo cannot stop them from resisting and may have trouble holding them down. If her target manages to regain mobility through sheer force but has not broken the hold, Momo will end up being pulled by their movement as long as she keeps her power active. This also applies to targets that are already moving at a great velocity, such as a bullet train. Momo, however, used this to her advantage against the Turbo Granny to escape from her. Additionally, Momo's psychokinesis is also linked to her sense of touch, meaning that her hands are susceptible to the sensation of strain and pain. Resilient though they may be, Momo's psychic arms can be destroyed if an opponent is strong enough to break free from them through sheer brute strength, or if the psychic arms are struck with a strong attack. As a result, Momo will feel an immense pain in her hands that will render her unable to manifest her powers for an unspecified period of time. While she is still able to use her powers even if her hands are bound, Momo finds it difficult to use them effectively.
Usage: Momo uses her powers for combat. Using her psychokinesis, Momo can choose to hurl her targets to be sent crashing, restrain her opponents to leave them vulnerable for her comrades to attack, or carry her targets while on the move by having them levitate over her head. Momo is also capable of applying her powers in close-quarters combat. As shown in her fight against the Kito Family, she can pull her enemies towards her punches and kicks and send objects flying their way around their blind spots. During her first confrontation with Reiko Kashima, Momo covered the entirety of her psychic arms with levitated rubble as if they were physical arms that she could use to inflict damage to the yokai with tangible punches (though this strategy of fighting quickly proved to be a failure as Reiko Kashima easily swiped the rubble away in a fit of rage before Momo could land a single attack). Defensively, if anticipated on time, Momo can use her psychic powers to shield herself from incoming attacks by placing her psychic hands between herself and the attack, though this will not prevent her from being sent crashing backwards depending on the force of the attack. Her power can also push her enemies away if they are too dangerously close to harm her. During her battle with a mind-control alien, Momo learned how to use her psychokinesis offensively. Remembering Seiko's past lesson on how to use the Power of Words, Momo managed to develop the ability to unleash a repulsion blast of devastating force with her hands, similar to the way the Serpo attack with psychokinesis, with one shot being capable of knocking back multiple mind-control Serpos and obliterating the mind-control alien she was fighting.
- Techniques
Moe-Moe Tri Beam: A Power of Words enhanced version of Momo's psychic blast where after she forms a heart-shape with her hands she shouts out "Moe Moe Tri-Beam!", the omajinai of Moe Moe Kikoho, and fires off a blast with increased attack power. This attack was first used to defeat an alien globalist shortly after Momo figured out how to project the psychic blast on an army of mind-controlled Serpos that were charging at her.
- Collaboration Techniques
Moe Moe Tri-Beam (モエモエ気功砲 Moe Moe Kikōhō?): A combination of Momo's Moe Moe Tri-Beam and Jiji's Ha Wave that projects a powerful wave of energy. This compensates for the Moe Moe Tri-Beam's short range and the Ha Wave's lack of power.

Ken Takakura (高たか倉くら健けん Takakura Ken?), also known as Okarun (オカルン?), is the main male protagonist of the manga series Dandadan. He is an occult fanatic, mainly a believer in aliens and UFOS, who was living an introverted school life until he met Momo Ayase from school. After a bet with her leads to them forming a friendship and having his kintama missing from being cursed by the Turbo Granny, Okarun makes it his mission to find what he has lost with help from Momo and other allies as they overcome any paranormal obstacles along the way. Okarun is a teenager of short height and slender build with brown hair (black hair in the anime), brown eyes and he wears round-frame glasses. Originally, Okarun's hair was fashioned in a bowl cut, but it has since become unruly after his confrontation with the Flatwoods Monster. Though he was initially very skinny, Okarun has gained toned muscles as a result of his dedication to strength training and the numerous battles he faced dealing with spirits and aliens. While he is one of the few characters that can be seen wearing a variety of outfits, his most common attire is his school uniform, which is a typical gakuran outfit.
Personality: Okarun is a self-described socially awkward individual who has a consuming interest for the paranormal with his main focus being the existence of aliens and cryptids. This interest goes all the way back to his childhood where he tried to make contact with aliens in a desperate attempt to make friends, having grown up without a single one in his life due to constant bullying. As a result, Okarun developed an inferiority complex where he believes that he is incapable of fitting in with others or that people are better off not associating with him. Even after making friends with Momo Ayase, Okarun still seems to retain some low self-esteem. After Jiji stepped back into Momo's life, Okarun thought to himself that he could not compete with him when it came to being her friend based on his observation on how entertained Momo was being around him and had almost come close to ending his friendship with her as to not be a bother. According to Momo, Okarun's real problem with making friends was that he was too quick to make assumptions about others judging him, which resulted in him subconsciously keeping others at arm's length. Okarun is an altruistic person who believes that it is only right to help others when they are in trouble. A noticeable example being how he offered Mr. Mantis Shrimp his kintama for him to sale and earn funds for his son's blood transfusion. As a friend, he is fiercely loyal and protective as he will not allow others to get away with harming those whom he has formed a bond with, such as how he furiously attacked the Evil Eye for harming Momo and taking over Jiji's body. Before learning that spirits truly walk among the living, Okarun was first skeptical of their existence since he believed that there were logical explanations as to why people would come to the conclusion of this paranormal activity. Okarun is also formal to a fault as he can never bring himself to address his friends or allies by their first names or nickname without a polite title added; for example with Momo, he exclusively refers to her as "Ayase-san" ("Miss Ayase" in English translations). The only exception to this is Jiji since the latter will ignore him if he does so. It is because of this characteristic that Momo could tell that Reiko Kashima was impersonating Okarun, due to referring to Jiji as "Jiji-san". When using Turbo Granny's power, Okarun's personality would take a dramatic shift. Normally shrill and antsy but strong-willed, Okarun in his transformed state would become lethargic and melancholic, often making pessimistic remarks about being tired and life not mattering. He also would drop all formal pretenses and usually make uncomfortably suave remarks towards other women, in addition to calling them by their first name.
Background: Ever since elementary school, Ken had a hard time fitting in with the crowd and was constantly picked on by others. In an effort to make any friends, he tried contacting aliens, which eventually developed into an obsession.
- Physical Prowess
Athleticism: As a result of the many paranormal obstacles he had to overcome, Okarun boasts great physical fitness that is on par with an athlete. During a physical fitness test, he completed a 50-meter sprint in just 5.8 seconds, surpassing his own expectation of 9 seconds, threw a handball 35 meters, reached 3.6 meters for the standing long jump, managed 80 steps for the sidestep test and completed 120 shuttle runs. Overall, he outperformed the rest of his class and still retained more stamina than them.
Spiritual Awareness: Just like Momo, Okarun is able to clearly see spirits, such as earthbound spirits and yokai. This also makes him one of the rare few who are able to enter Empty Space.
Turbo Granny Form: Okarun possessed the spiritual power of Turbo Granny after only the yokai's consciousness was extracted out of his body by Seiko and Momo. Initially, Okarun was only able to enter this mode while still being cursed by Turbo Granny and with help from Momo's psychokinesis powers to suppress the curse from his head, thereby allowing him to control his body. After the yokai's powers were accidentally left inside him, Okarun became able to enter the transformation willingly. When accessing this power, Okarun's hair flared up and turned white, gained two thick vertical stripes across his eyes, and had a noticeable black jaw mask with a row of multiple teeth. On a few occasions, the mask does not manifest at all. Underneath his clothing, Okarun's body was given a more muscular definition, while forcing his posture to become hunch-like, and the nails on his hands and toes became sharpened and black. The clothes he chose to wear were also slightly altered to become flame-like. Okarun's mental state also changed in addition to his physical, giving him a depressing personality and a strange tendency to say "yo" at the end of his sentences.
Enhanced Speed: This state offered Okarun the extraordinary speed of Turbo Granny that allowed him to run at an incredible 100 km/hr. Okarun referred to this full speed as going All-Out (本気 Honki?).
Strengths: After assuming the form for the first time, Okarun's body reacted fast enough to move out of the way of the Flatwoods Monster's attack after it had come a few seconds close to crushing him. As the Earthbound Spirit Crab chased him, he was able to cover some ground in Shono City and managed to keep the earthbound spirit from catching him. After Aira took a hit from Bamora, Okarun was able to quickly reach her from a considerable distance away to save her just in time from being struck by another attack. This speed also allowed him to keep up and overwhelm the likes of the Evil Eye, a formidable yokai who had proven himself on multiple occasions to be too difficult of an opponent to fight singlehandedly. In terms of combat rhythm, Turbo Granny proclaimed that her speed should allow Okarun to make five different actions in a single beat.
Weaknesses: Okarun was limited to using All-Out for only two sprints, as the intense supernatural speed put too much strain on his human body. Once the limit had been reached, Okarun ended up reverting back to normal and was left barely able to move for a short period of time. However, after further training to adapt to the form, Okarun's body no longer ached after reaching his limit, though this drawback was liable to return if he ran for too long. Okarun was also unable to swim since Turbo Granny did not possess the capabilities to.
Usage: Okarun used this power in combat or to put some distance between himself and his enemies. When engaging foes in close combat, Okarun relied on his speed to make swift physical attacks that gave his opponent no window of opportunity to counter, with his attacks taking the form of a series of squats and headbutts. When partnered with his allies, Okarun could use his speed to quickly jump in and move them out of the way of incoming attacks, or carry them on his back to either catch up with a target on the move or make a necessary escape. After receiving training from Turbo Granny herself to properly harness her power, Okarun managed to improve his combat rhythm. This was shown in his battle against the Music Room Portraits, where he effectively used his enhanced speed and reflexes to evade the tulpas' barrage of explosive musical notes by recalling the rhythm of the hayashi music and defeating them with a succession of five headbutts at once, so fast that he left afterimages. Later, he was capable of dodging the Evil Eye's multiple grudge ball attacks, whereas he had previously struggled to dodge even one in his first fight with the yokai. Since All-Out came from the boost in leg strength, Okarun was able to launch himself with great force like a missile, which was his preferred method of attack. The charging speed was great enough to have Okarun get through a crowd of possessed citizens and send Acrobatic Silky, a large body yokai, crashing back and left badly injured to stand up for a short amount of time. Most incredibly, Okarun was able to split the giant body of the Serpo Dover Demon Nessie in half. While running from the Earthbound Spirit Crab, Okarun was also shown capable of using All-Out to keep himself and Momo afloat in the air long enough to land on city ground by having his legs rotate around his body like a helicopter’s rotary wings.
Enhanced Durability: Okarun also gained an increase in durability as well, as he was capable of withstanding his own launching attacks and endured attacks from powerful opponents such as the Evil Eye.
Enhanced Bite Force: Okarun's mouth mask gave him an immense bite force, as he was able to bite off all five fingers from the Flatwoods Monster's left hand.
Telephone Wire Transportation: Besides the enhanced speed, Okarun was also bestowed Turbo Granny’s ability to transport via entering telephone cables. In order to perform this ability, Okarun had to travel along the telephone wire’s spiral-shaped magnetic field flowing around the current and continue moving using Turbo Granny’s immense speed.
Strengths and Weaknesses: While it took some time to reach a desired place, Okarun was able to instantly teleport to his intended location if he transversed an active telephone line being made by a person from where he wished to go. This ability also helped to accelerate Okarun’s immense speed once he ejected from a telephone wire and continued to move, being so fast that his movements appeared to be akin to lightning rippling through the area. When traveling via a telephone wire, Okarun found it hard to reach his intended destination when there were multiple telephone lines to travel across. He also could not remain within a telephone wire for long periods of time due to the spiraling magnetic field ejecting him out rather quickly. Okarun’s traverse was also disrupted if his opponent severed the telephone wire he was within, causing him to be ejected out.
Usage: Okarun was able to apply his telephone line transportation ability in battle. By continuing to be on the run after ejecting out of a telephone wire, Okarun’s immense speed became augmented, allowing him to attack his foes in the blink of an eye. During the battle against the Kur, he was able to instantly take down multiple enemies before any one of them could react to his series of collisions. Using an All-Out that had been amplified by this speed, Okarun was able to completely destroy the spatial suit alien with a single collision before he could attack Momo.

Seiko a well-known spirit medium who also goes by the name Santa Dodoria (ドドリア三太 Dodoria Santa?) and the grandmother of Momo Ayase. While performing her duties, Seiko provides support to Momo and her friends as they become involved with spirits, aliens, and other paranormal activities.
Appearance: Despite being a grandmother, Seiko has the appearance of a slender woman in her prime. Seiko possesses long snow-white hair that she generally ties up in a large top knot, wears red rectangular glasses. She is a chain smoker and can almost always be seen smoking cigarettes. On top of her youthful appearance, Seiko has been noted for her beauty that she claims others might go so far as to describe her as being bewitching. Due to this, many have mistaken her to be Momo's mother and leave them in shock once they learn her true relation to the girl. In terms of height, she is shown to stand no taller than her granddaughter. When out in public, Seiko wears a yellow open large button cardigan that reveals her cross-strap top, a blue baseball jacket that has white sleeves with a symbol on the back, hoop earrings, and sandals. When at home, Seiko is shown to wear a white tank top, shorts, a beige haramaki, and light grey arm warmers with matching thigh-high stirrups. As Santa Dodoria, Seiko wears a mask, sharp finger-tipped gloves, and a cloak covering up her entire body while leaving only her large top knot visible. In the past when Momo was a little girl, Seiko wore the respectful attire of a shrine maiden and had her hair tied in a regular ponytail.
Personality: Seiko has a phlegmatic personality and a highly uncouth manner of speech. At the same time, she is selfless and empathetic to help others in need if it's within her power, with the greatest example being her taking people into her house if they need a place to stay. As such, she follows the concept of "being in it together". Instead of accepting Okarun's generous compensation for looking after him while he was cursed by the Turbo Granny, Seiko told him that the only way he could repay her was to help other people who were in trouble. When involving herself with children, Seiko believes that, as an adult, she should be able to shoulder their burdens to allow them to be free to do what they want in life. Because of this, she felt saddened that she was unable to honor Jiji's wishes to help him keep the Evil Eye under control in order to spare the yokai from being exorcised. While willing to help others, Seiko is too proud to admit when she needs help herself or burden others with her problems, having at first refused Okarun and Mr. Mantis Shrimp's offer to help rebuild her house when it was in ruins after the Evil Eye's stay. Seiko can also come off as being a bit immature, such times being when she joked about Momo having a crush on Okarun, due to him having the same name as Ken Takakura, and having her granddaughter make a Hiroshi Abe impression in exchange for having to buy her a new school uniform. Despite this and her unladylike way of speaking, Seiko can act polite if she feels that she has made a mistake that involves the well-being of others. Though she claims that she has never been moved by emotion, Seiko subconsciously favors those who compliment her, such as her youthful appearance which she takes great pride in. As a spirit medium, Seiko follows the rules of coexistence between the living and the dead, which is to not disrespect the dead and send them to the afterlife, by using force if necessary, if they choose to attack the living. Seiko has a passion for food, believing that it should not be taken lightly since "living begins with eating". As a cook who occasionally serves food for Momo and her acquittances, she finds it delightful to see a person who knows how to eat by filling up on the food she makes and even becomes motivated to make more to further satisfy their appetite. She was even willing to feed a restaurant full of Renjaku High School student at the cost of her entire paycheck. On the other hand, she dislikes picky eaters. While a believer in spirits, Seiko is a disbeliever in UFOs or aliens. Even after Momo brought home Mr. Mantis Shrimp as proof, Seiko only saw him as being a kappa and did not think much of the alien's spacecraft after abducting a cow. She enjoys watching television shows, which is the only thing that brings her a sense of joy and laughter in life.
Background: Seiko took in her granddaughter Momo when she was little and wanted to pass on a little of her ways as a spirit medium, instructing her to perform a daily spell routine that would potentially help her to release her ki. Following her grandmother's instructions, Momo faced bullying from children whenever she performed the daily spell in public. This then resulted in Momo blaming Seiko for the mistreatment and accusing her of being a fraudulent spirit medium, a claim that deeply affected her. Eventually, their relationship began to heal after Momo apologized to Seiko.
- Abilities and Powers
Overall Abilities: Seiko is heavily relied on by Momo, Okarun, and their friends and allies whenever they are faced with powerful forces that are beyond their capabilities to confront together, whether they are spirit related or not.
- Natural Abilities
Enhanced Human Condition: Seiko has demonstrated to have physical prowess that are above an average human. In her fight against the Evil Eye, she was shown capable of putting enough physical power into her bat to knock down the yokai and create a crater on the ground with one swing. She has also shown to possess impressive speed and reflexes, as she was able to avoid being hit by the Evil Eye's attacks in close combat.
- Mental Prowess
Tactical Intellect: Seiko has great strategic skills, having formulated the plan to lure Turbo Granny out of Shono City and into a trap to exorcise her and the Earthbound Spirit Crab and organized the operation to release Rin of the Onbusuman. During her face-off with Turbo Granny, who had taken over Okarun, Seiko foresaw the yokai's strike from her blind spot and had preemptively erected a mystic barrier to protect herself. Additionally, she was clever enough to prepare a tight space secondary barrier to trap Turbo Granny, which then allowed her to strike Turbo Granny relentlessly with her bat from various angles, with each blow also knocking Turbo Granny back out of the barrier, resulting in further harm from being ignited.
- Skill Set
Mediumship: Seiko is recognized for her profound knowledge and understanding of spirits, being a highly esteemed spirit medium. Her capabilities to exorcise evil spirits from individuals or locations is considered exceptionally high among the most experienced spirit mediums, as five, previously employed by the Enjoji Family to rid the Evil Eye from their house, recommended Seiko to Jiji as a final measure following their failed attempts.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Seiko possesses exceptional prowess in unarmed combat, demonstrating impeccable martial arts skills in countering a group of kung fu fighting jiangshi and defeat them single-handedly.
Armed Combat Mastery: Seiko mainly fights using her bat Nessie to overpower her enemies into submission. She handles her bat using both one-handed and two-handed grips; with the two-handed approach allowing her to deliver more forceful strikes, powerful enough to make her opponents create craters in the ground when they're knocked down. Along with this weapon, she uses her talismans and charm nails when up against spirits to exorcise them with her mystic barriers. In a situation where she doesn't have her bat or charms on hand, Seiko is able to improvise by using whatever is around her as a weapon, such as using a piece of wood as a blunt weapon to swing as a substitute for Nessie.
Cooking: Seiko is a skilled cook, shown being able to prepare various dishes for the Family at times.
- Supernatural Abilities
Spiritual Awareness: Seiko is capable of seeing spirits, such as earthbound spirits and yokai.
Divination: Seiko has demonstrated to be able to glean information about people using a crystal ball, as she was able to accurately uncover Shoma's secrets.
Power Borrowing: Seiko has the ability to borrow power from gods that reside within regions, with her main region being Kamigoe City where she lives.
Mystic Barrier: By borrowing power from a god through unknown means, Seiko is able to erect mystic barriers that are able to exorcise evil spirits, or anyone cursed by an evil spirit for that matter. This is done with the use of her charm nails and talisman.
Strengths and Weaknesses: The primary power of the barrier lies in its ability to enable Seiko to fend off evil spirits, using its flame ignition effects to incinerate them until they turn to ash. The lethality of the barrier is heightened when more than one nail is placed on the ground. Since her barriers are only effective if the god she is borrowing power from is around, Seiko is limited to exorcising evil spirits within the perimeter of the region the god resides in. In exchange for the privilege of wielding the god's power, Seiko is also obligated to fulfill the condition of visiting temples for three days to express gratitude. While this condition was established after Seiko borrowed power from the god of Hokkaido, it is unclear if there are conditions that vary with each god she borrows power from, if it is Seiko or the god who sets the condition, or if the temple visiting is a standard condition associated with her power borrowing.
Usage: Seiko uses her mystic barriers to ward off evil spirits from her home by placing her talismans inside her house and on the torii gate. To safeguard herself against evil spirits, Seiko forms a protective barrier by tracing a large circle on the ground with the retractable pencil tip of her bat, Nessie, and positions a charm nail within the circle. This method can also trap an evil spirit by drawing a circle around them and placing a charm nail from the outside, resulting in the exterior of the circle acting as a mystical barrier that will activate the barrier's ignition if said evil spirit steps passed the circle. This renders the evil spirit vulnerable to Seiko's mercy, enabling her to relentlessly strike them with her bat from different angles, while the barrier sets them ablaze from being knocking back with each strike. Seiko can then finish off the evil spirit by placing a charm nail within the circle. Seiko is also able to use the barrier for offense as well, as she stopped Turbo Granny from eating Momo by placing a drawing a small circle on a brick and placing a charm nail within the circle, using it as a throwing weapon that sets off the barrier's flames once made contact.
Power of Words: Seiko is able to harness the Power of Words, referring to the power to alter reality through one's words that are said with conviction behind them.
Usage: Seiko has been shown using the Power of Words for combat purposes to enhance her physical strength. With it, she could increase the power of her batting swings to knock back her targets a good distance. She also utilized it to give herself enough strength to pull Rin up to the top of the dashi float.
- Techniques
Nessie: Seiko's signature and sole use of the Power of Words in which she shouts out the "Nessie" to enhance her physical strength. She mainly employs this technique to increase the swinging power of her bat (or any slender blunt object) to knock back her target with great force. Seiko formulated this technique in a training session with Momo when her granddaughter was little. She demonstrated the Power of Words by striking a sandbag, propelling it into the air with a swing of her bat while calling out "Nessie", this name being inspired by Momo's assertion of what she believed to be the strongest creature in the world.
- Equipment
Nessie: Seiko's signature weapon is a bat inscribed with the words "Power of Nessie" (ネッシーの力 Nesshī no Chikara?). Her formidable strength, along with her use of the Power of Words, allows her to deliver powerful swings. Additionally, the bat is equipped with a retractable pencil tip, which Seiko utilizes for her barrier magic.
Talisman and Usage: Talismans that are capable of casting Seiko's mystical barriers, detecting nearby evil spirits, and perform sealing rituals. Seiko has positioned talismans in her home as a defense against any invading evil spirits.
Charm Nails: Special nails that are linked to Seiko's ability to borrow power from regional gods to cast her mystic barriers.
Crystal Ball: A crystal ball that Seiko uses to perform her divinations.
Spirit Medium Robes: Clothing that function similarly to bulletproof vests against evil spirits.
Harisen: A harisen that is capable of driving out evil spirits sealed within a person.

Aira is a former popular student at Kami High who later became one of Momo Ayase and Okarun's main allies whenever the two are faced with the paranormal.
Appearance: Aira is a young woman with short light pink hair that mostly frames the left side of her face and dark-pink eyes. She is recognized as being very attractive by the boys at her school, which she is aware of and greatly takes great pride in. Her common attire is her school uniform; a dark buttoned up blazer with her school emblem located around the left breast, a collared shirt, a bow, a dark short skirt, long socks and sandals. She also wears a long sleeve sweater that varies underneath her blazer.
Personality: Initially, Aira reveled in her social status as the popular girl at Kami High and strove to maintain her reputation. Outwardly, she appeared sweet, innocent, and somewhat air headed. However, internally, she was vain, arrogant, and insensitive, a side she only showed to a select few people such as her close friends. Her beauty became a tool for her to use to tease her male classmates, and she looked down upon them for being easily charmed by her facade. She was also not above committing acts of cruelty when provoked by others, having anonymously spread a nasty rumor about Momo after the latter used her powers to drop a tub on her head as a form of retaliation for making fun of Okarun. Many of Aira's negative traits may be a result of her losing her mother at a young age. At the time, her father encouraged her to become a woman that her mother could be proud of when they saw each other again, which she took to heart in the wrong ways. Aira believed that her popularity would make her more praiseworthy, and also genuinely believed that her charming of her classmates and giving them some hope of being with her was a way of helping them find a little hope in their lives, seemingly oblivious to the consequences of this. Upon discovering Okarun's kintama, Aira developed a messiah complex, that her newfound ability to see spirits, triggered by the golden ball, was a divine sign that she was the chosen one destined to protect the world from evil. This grandiose belief was compounded by her vanity, as she considered her beauty to be a key reason for her selection. She labeled Momo as a demon and an adversary after witnessing the manifestation of her psychic abilities, which she referred to as "demon wings". It was then on that Aira made it her mission to defeat Momo. This side of Aira soon faded by the time the Evil Eye became housed within Jiji. Despite her self-importance and ruthlessness, Aira is not without a guilty conscience. Overcome with guilt for initiating the unpleasant rumor about Momo after her classmates assumed, based off her false story, that the latter was to blame for Aira's humiliation of being exposed in her underwear at school, Aira confessed to her deplorable actions, absolving Momo's name at the expense of her own popularity. She also sincerely apologized to Momo for endangering her with the Evil Eye after accidently splashing her cold beverage on Jiji. Memory of this incident even drove her to continue fighting against the giants summoned by the Music Room Portraits. She is also capable of experiencing genuine empathy and demonstrating compassion towards others. Despite nearly dying from being swallowed by Acrobatic Silky, Aira felt sorry for the yokai upon learning from Turbo Granny that she would be forgotten by both the living and the dead once her body crumbled away into nothingness without her aura and ensured she achieved Nirvana by embracing her and acknowledging her as her mother. Along with this, she vowed to always remember her and expressed a heartfelt wish for Acrobatic Silky and her child to find peace together in the next life. Upon witnessing Bamora's memories and comprehending the anguish endured by the alien girl at the hands of the Kur, Aira was moved to tears and pledged to vanquish the exosuit aliens in Bamora's honor. After losing her popularity at school, Aira ceased the facade she put on for others. Once she integrated into the social circle formed by Momo and Okarun, she is much more open with her true self, which is marked by pride, sternness, and a tendency to be dismissive. As such, she asserts her position as the de facto leader of the gang and expresses a strong aversion to being left out of their endeavors or whenever someone else takes the lead in their battles. Due to this self-imposed leadership role, she also hosts the most distrust of outsiders to the Family, often barking that new members had to be approved by her first before they could join. She also does not hesitate to speak bluntly when she needs to make her point, such as when she expressed how unfair it was for her, Momo, Okarun, and Seiko to keep monitoring Jiji after he decides to spare the Evil Eye from exorcism. She was also very strict with Momo, Jiji, and Mr. Mantis Shrimp for their poor training performance. Aside from this, Aira cares for them as not only her comrades in arms but as her friends she has grown close to. Despite her serious disposition, Aira has moments where she can be mischievous and playful. She thought about dropping by Moe Moe Kikoho to tease Momo after learning from Jiji that she works as a maid and poked fun of Momo and Jiji for sleeping close together. She also has a soft spot for things she finds cute. Though she disapproved of Mr. Mantis Shrimp returning to Kamigoe City to become a resident, she immediately changed her mind after meeting Chiquitita, finding him adorable to hug and play with. Enamored by Momo's tiny size, Aira felt the urge to play with her as a doll. Touched by Okarun's altruistic nature, which had prompted him to come to her aid during her confrontation with Acrobatic Silky, Aira developed a crush on him that she does not hide. Her demeanor with Okarun is noticeably kinder and warmer compared to her interactions with practically everyone else, and she often finds herself blushing and enchanted by his presence whenever he is near. Aira is prepared to offer her help to Okarun in any manner possible, holding the belief that a girl who supports his virtuous character is deserving of being his companion. She is also shown to be susceptible to jealousy, as she and Momo tried moving Bamora away from Okarun after she approached him too close, while also reprimanding her for addressing him casually. Aira acknowledges her ignorance on how to deal with her romantic feelings, having never felt such emotions for anyone prior to Okarun. In an effort to find clarity, she consulted her father's "books", which ultimately prompted her to make an impulsive attempt to kiss Okarun. Despite Okarun repeatedly rebuffing her, Aira's feelings continue to remain and even seem to grow stronger over time. Aira is also modest, as she has moments of being cautious about her skirt accidently flashing her underwear when fighting. Additionally, she dislikes having her clothes ruined in battle, especially her school uniform. Similar to Okarun's Turbo Granny form, Aira also has a change in personality when she assumes her Acrobatic Silky form, albeit less marked than his. When transformed, Aira adopts a more haughty and refined manner of speaking, and also addresses Okarun as "Takakura-sama" ("Master Takakura" in English translations). However, this only seems to apply when her face is transformed.
Background: Aira's mother died when she was a little girl, though she did not fully process this at the time due to her young age. Not long after, Aira saw and ran up to a strange woman on the streets, mistaking her for her deceased mother. Realizing her mistake, Aira returned to walking with her father, but became unaware that the mysterious woman started to follow her throughout her life. During her childhood, Aira learned how to play the piano and competed against children her age. After losing against a girl named Kouki Yukishiro, Aira became dedicated to improving her skills until she managed to beat her. However, she soon quit playing right after, having found it tedious.
- Abilities and Powers
Spiritual Awareness: Aira was able to see spirits when she was a child but had lost the ability at some point. Her awareness soon reawakened after coming into contact with one of Okarun's kintama.
Acrobatic Silky Form: After being transferred Acrobatic Silky's aura, Aira subsequently inherited the yokai's powers as a result. When choosing to access Acrobatic Silky's powers, Aira enters a form where her hair increases in volume and gains a mask that resembles the yokai's face; covering all the way down to her neck while leaving her left eye exposed. By Aira's account, Acrobatic Silky's personality also ends up influencing her, as she explained to Okarun that she inadvertently starts to become foul mouthed to those who show her disrespect (though this could have very well been an excuse to prevent having Okarun look at her differently).
Enhanced Speed and Agility: This state grants Aira Acrobatic Silky's extraordinary agility and swiftness to perform graceful acrobatic maneuvers, thus granting her a body that allows balance, flexibility, dexterity, and bodily coordination.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Aira's enhanced body to use Acrobatic Silky's acrobatics allows her to run along walls and execute flips, making her a challenging target to hit. This prowess was evident when she effortlessly evaded all of Mr. Mantis Shrimp's powerful punches and swiftly dodged a Serpo's invisible psychokinetic attack (though only after being hit by it once). In the confrontation with the Music Room Portraits, Aira dodged every explosive musical note, despite the reduced traction on the illusory terrain created by the tulpas. According to Turbo Granny's rhythm analysis, Aira's speed enables her to perform four distinct actions within a single beat, a feat comparable to that of the Evil Eye's speed. A major weakness is Aira's acrobatic movement being hindered, as she was left vulnerable to Mr. Mantis Shrimp's punches after the Serpo used their psychokinesis to bind her. After being casted into an illusionary paddy field by the Music Room Portraits, Aira could not run or evade attacks effectively as she wanted to due to the terrain causing her feet to sink. Aira's opponents can also make it hard for her to find an opening to counterattack if they have her become too occupied with dodging a barrage of incoming attacks. Attacks that are not made visible to the naked eye prove to be difficult for Aira to evade unless anticipated on time from small hints (such as the name of the attack being called out) or if she is aided by an ally who can see the attack to quickly move her out of the way. Additionally, she cannot evade large-scale attacks from giant opponents.
Enhanced Lower Leg Strength: Along with incredible speed and reflexes, Acrobatic Silky's power bestows above average physical leg strength to Aira's human body, thus granting her the close quarters combat capabilities to fight against powerful enemies by executing powerful kicks. With a single kick, she was capable of sending Mr. Mantis Shrimp up towards a ceiling.
Enhanced Endurance and Durability: Moreover, Aira has displayed immense levels of physical endurance and durability, as she had recovered shortly after taking a devastating blow from Mr. Mantis Shrimp. In addition, she was able to endure taking on direct attacks from the Serpo Dover Demon Nessie whose large size made Mr. Mantis Shrimp's punches much more powerful. During her confrontation with the Music Room Portraits, Aira was able to remain conscious after taking damage from two giants created by the tulpas and was still on her feet by the time she took them down. Most impressively, Aira remained conscious and did not take heavy damage from a direct attack from the enlarged Sumerian God Exosuit.
Acrobatics: Along with the increase in physical ability, the most prominent power Aira is granted is Acrobatic Silky's special ability to elongate her hair to great lengths, with which she can freely manipulate to perform tasks.
Strengths and Weaknesses: The hair is very strong and prehensile, as it can lift people or heavy objects, such as cars, and bind targets. What range limit, if any, there may be for her elongated hair is not known. While strong enough to pick up heavy objects, the resilience of Aira's hair does not change from how it normally is in her base form, thus causing it to be suspectable to damage, such as it being caught on fire. Aira's hair may also be hindered from reaching her intended target if it is hit by an incoming attack.
Usage: Aira uses Acrobatics for combat. While relying on her enhanced leg strength to execute strong kicks that are coupled with her acrobatic movement, Aira uses the malleability of her hair to reinforce this fighting style and to grab her enemies. Once entangled by her hair, Aira can choose to pull her opponents towards her to close the distance and attack or pull herself towards them to build up enough force behind her kicks. Other purposes include restraining or blinding her enemies, hurling objects at them, or to cover ground by latching onto large constructs and swinging herself to a desire location. All these capabilities make Aira out to be a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. If choosing to retreat after being at a disadvantage, Aira uses her hair as a diversion by covering herself and her surrounding area, concealing her plan to escape and leave the battlefield unnoticed, along with any nearby allies. After being informed about the Power of Words and Spiral Power from Momo and Okarun, Aira began utilizing these two abilities in conjunction with her yokai powers to improve her offense. Using Spiral Power, Aira shapes her hair into drills around her legs to pierce through her opponents and penetrate tough material, such as suits of armor. The hair drill legs also help to give her further reach. With the Power of Words, Aira is able to execute even stronger attacks with her hair manipulation. For defensive means, Aira can form a protective dome by wrapping her hair around herself, which can reform if taken damage by a destructive attack.
- Techniques
Pirouette Noble Drill: Using Spiral Power, Aira has her elongated hair wrap around herself to form a full body size drill and launches herself towards her opponent to pierce straight through them. While drilling, Aira uses the Power of Words by shouting out the technique's name in order to increase its attack power. It was first used against the missile suit alien, which proved to be strong enough to drill straight through the hardness of the alien's armored suit.
Power of Words: Aira is able to use the Power of Words to enhance her special attacks when using Acrobatic Silky's power in combat
Spiral Power: Aira is capable of using Spiral Power, as shown when shaping her elongated hair into drills.

Jin Enjoji (also known as Jiji) is Momo Ayase's childhood friend (and also unknowingly her first crush) whom he lost touch with after moving away. Years later, he enrolls into Kami High and reunites with her after he came to her grandmother Seiko Ayase for help to rid his house of the Evil Eye haunting him, which leads to him becoming the yokai's vessel. After the Evil Eye is kept under control by Okarun, Jiji becomes one of the few to lend his help to Momo and Okarun as they try to find the latter's kintama.
Appearance: Jiji is a very tall and muscular young man, being even taller than his parents with short auburn hair with bangs that fall down to his eyebrows with only the center of his forehead left exposed and brown eyes. He is recognized by the girls at his school to be quite handsome. When at school, Jiji wears a collared shirt with a tie, jeans with a belt and the school's blazer. He also wears dark hoop earrings.
Personality: Jiji comes off as being a very hyper-active young man who likes to express himself with dramatic movement and faces. He also has a habit of usually ending his sentences with strange verbal tics such as "Fuuuu" (フゥ? Viz: Woo) or "Fuuuuwaaaatsu" (フゥワッ? Viz: Woo-Hoo-Hoo). To some girls, Jiji is viewed as being funny and charming, which is accompanied by his handsome good looks. On the other hand, others might find him to be annoying. In Seiko Ayase's opinion, Jiji's quirky personality makes him come off as being moronic as she would sarcastically comment on him being a "genius". Jiji has also been noted to give off a "playboy" vibe. After making his introduction to Momo Ayase's classmates, Jiji immediately asked for a female classmate's cellphone number with enthusiasm after finding her to be cute with just a single glance and acted flirtatious around Momo's friends. Aside from this, he has proven himself to be good-natured. Upon reuniting with Momo after the two lost touch with each other since they were little, Jiji sincerely apologized for mocking her in the past and jumped in to protect her from an alive anatomical model that was charging towards her.
Background: During his childhood, Jiji used to be friends with Momo Ayase and unknowingly her first crush. However, after Momo started to follow her grandmother Seiko Ayase's instruction in performing a ritual, Jiji rudely mocked her and eventually lost touch with her after he and his parents moved up to the mountains. At some point, Jiji started to notice strange things happening around his house, but decided to ignore them after his parents failed to take his word for it. However, Jiji is soon confronted by a spirit in his house and found himself seeing it everywhere he went, including in his dreams, resulting in him being sleep-deprived. This encounter then leads to his father and mother being hospitalized after coming down with a sickness. Having no choice, the family decided upon hiring well-known spirit mediums to perform an exorcism but are met with failure after three of the five mediums ultimately committed suicide. After being told from them that hiring Seiko would be a last resort, Jiji contacted her about his situation and became permitted to move into her house until his problem is solved.
- Abilities and Powers
Spiritual Awareness: Jiji possesses the ability to see spirits after encountering the Evil Eye in his previous house.
Ki: Jiji possesses incredible reserves of ki that has his spiritual power valued as being extremely rare and desirable for evil spirits to have. Since his training with Seiko, Jiji is able to use his ki to suppress the Evil Eye sealed within him if he comes into contact with anything cold, though he noted that doing so requires him to exert all of his strength, which causes him to become exhausted afterwards.
- Techniques
Ha Wave: Jiji has the spiritual power to let his ki flow out to emit an invisible burst capable of knocking back anything in his path. He does this by first concentrating on channeling his ki to his hands and then thrusting them forward while cupped. The only main strength of the Ha Wave is that the force of the attack is capable of knocking back Jiji's intended target and having him attack from short to long range. As pointed out by Aira, the Ha Wave lacks the attack power to do any major damage to Jiji's opponent.
Evil Gun: A Power of Words enhanced version of the Ha Wave where Jiji utters the words "Evil Gun" to give an increase to its attack power, resulting in a powerful beam of energy being shoot out from the thrust of his hands. It was first used to attack one of the space globalists that was restraining Aira, successfully freeing her.
Power of Words: After learning from Momo that attacks can be amplified using words, Jiji incorporated this effect into his spiritual power, allowing him to increase the attack power that he was initially lacking.
- #16Kinta Sakata

Entry settings
Kinta Sakata is a student at Kami High who later became one of Momo and Okarun's main allies whenever the two are faced with the paranormal.
Appearance: Kinta is a young man with a rotund build, short-trimmed middle-parting dark hair and wears glasses. For attire, he wears his school's gakuran outfit.
Personality: Kinta acts vain and prideful, particularly towards young men around his age who he has no interest in interacting with. After Okarun and Jiji carried the defeated Bamora to the Ayase house, Kinta immediately stepped out with a condescending attitude, calling them out as useless for being late and brushing off any flattery from them. He is also an attention seeker, having wanted to present himself at school as an important person to Momo, Okarun, and the others by putting on an eyepatch and wrapping himself in bandages, with the false story behind his appearance being injuries from a battle against an alien that he won single-handedly. Kinta often tries to act cool and strong in front of people, often making eccentric statements and poses. Additionally, he is too proud to admit his own shortcomings and will justify his failures with an excuse. However, this personality is admitted by Kinta to be a façade. Fully aware that he is an individual who can't amount to anything, Kinta tried masking his insecurities by finding fault in others and making attempts at being acknowledged by his peers. In light of him having nothing to be proud, Kinta declares to be a person who remains true to himself. With his love for robots and girls driving him, Kinta refused to give up and leave behind the Great Kinta and Bamora out of fear of being crushed inside the cockpit by the Spatial Suit Exosuit Kur, stating that he would regret it for the rest of his life, and persisted on with trying to defeat the Kur. Despite his prideful and awkward traits, Kinta has more than a bit of bravery. He is eager to help the Family face the unknown, as he was visibly excited to have a chance to rush into the fray after finding an SOS note attached to the Ayase house. Even when hurt in a fight and facing possible death, he was able to keep his cool, protect Bamora, and find a way to come out on top against the Hastur Kur. Even during his first battle, when he was largely helpless and incapable of fighting, he rushed into danger to discover the secret of the enemy's invisibility rather than flee to save himself. His bravery is overshadowed by his irritating way of communicating to people, yet he refuses to back down when confronted with the unknown and consistently seeks solutions whenever feasible. When it comes to the opposite sex, Kinta desires to be seen as being charming to girls but ends up failing from getting the wrong idea analyzing relationships between young men and women. He is also perverted, as he hoped to lock lips with Momo as he was sent flying towards her by Bamora and wanted to end his fight with the Spatial Exosuit Kur quickly to have a "lovey-dovey thunder break" with Bamora. Along with wanting to be liked by girls, Kinta's other prominent personality is his passion for mechas. While having a hobby of collecting mecha figurines called Dandams and watching mecha genre anime, Kinta dreamed of one day piloting a mecha and committed himself to preparing for the momentous occasion by riding amusement rides to avoid robot sickness. Come the battle against Bamora's out of control exosuit, Kinta's dream came to fruition as he exercised his knowledge of mechas to construct one of the nanoskin the Ayase house is made of and was overjoyed in the end.
- Equipment
Nanoskin: Kinta carries around a cube fragment of nanoskin from the Ayase residence.
- Capabilities
Shapeshifting: Nanoskin functions like clay, capable of shapeshifting into various forms and objects, from clothing and tools to vehicles and even complex structures like houses or robots. Mastery of nanoskin offers exceptional adaptability, enabling solutions for nearly any scenario. It can also autonomously restore itself when damaged and adheres to both the visualized form and functionality, allowing it to support features like energy beams or propulsion systems. The creation of an object requires an exact amount of nanoskin based on its size and complexity, limiting the user to the available quantity. Though nanoskin can self-restore after damage, its fragility poses challenges in combat. To counter this, Kinta enabled nanoskin to mimic the density of hardened materials like steel, improving durability but making it heavier and less agile for the user when worn.
- Usage
Great Kinta: Utilizing the nanoskin the Ayase household is made of and his passion for mechas, Kinta is able to construct a colossal robot that he can pilot to battle enormous foes. This robot was originally designed by Kinta to take on Bamora when she lost control of her kaiju suit. It was later reconstructed to face the Hastur Kur, who had seized control of Bamora's kaiju suit in its Slaughter Mode. When piloted by Kinta, the mecha proved to be very formidable, as its physical strength is great enough to damage the kaiju and leave a path of destruction in an Empty Space Kamigoe City. Since the mecha was composed entirely of nanoskin, which is a fragile material, its durability was considerably weak and could easily be damaged. However, by continuously applying his imagination to the nanoskin, he could have the mecha repair itself to give it a form of regeneration.
- Techniques
Hot Wind Straight Fist Punch: A technique Kinta used against the kaiju where he controls the mecha to throw a straight punch as he is pulled in by its tail.
Hyper Gora Slasher: Kinta controls the Great Kinta to bring down a straight chop to his opponent.
Daedalus Acha: Kinta controls the Great Kinta to deliver an upward kick to his opponent.
Rocket Punch: Kinta controls the Great Kinta's left arm to throw its detached right arm at his opponent as a projectile.
Super Electro Wave Tornado: A Techniques where Kinta controls the Great Kinta to gran his opponent and spin them around rapidly until he lets go to send them crashing back a great distance.
Super Electrowave Spin: A technique where Kinta controls the Great Kinta to perform a spinning divebomb onto his opponent while it is down. The attack was strong enough to destroy the horns of Bamora's exosuit.
Vehicles and Aircrafts: Kinta can use his nanoskin to shape vehicles and aircrafts to better get to one place to another, such as motorcycles, rockets, air scooters, jetpacks, and hoverboards.
Equipment: Kinta can use his nanoskin to craft various tools. To find out Kouki's blackmailer, Kinta crafted a surveillance camera that acts as a hairpin for Kouki to wear. In addition, he crafted himself a replica of his glasses with HUD features and had it sync to the hairpin to watch the recorded footage.
Battle Suits: During his and Okarun's fight against Hase and the alien of the Kur's Advance Unit, Kinta used his nanoskin to craft a battle suit model of the Great Kinta with harden density to provide durability. However, the battle suit proved to be cumbersome for him to operate. Later, he had the suit "merge" with Okarun as a second pilot operating the lower half to make use of his combat prowess.
