Unfortunately, this barely happy life was destroyed when Yui died. Shiro thus replaced her with her Mirror World counterpart, but learned that this would last only until she will be 20 years old. He thus vowed to find a way to save her.

Shiro studying profusely and conducting experiments to open up a Mirror World and create Card Decks. He was successful, creating thirteen Decks. Of the 13 kamen riders created by Shiro, only four remain alive (while the fact that there's still the 5th riders he kept for himself); Kamen Rider Ryuki, Kamen Rider Knight, Kamen Rider Ouja, and Kamen Rider Femme, and Kamen Rider Zolda.

The Riders draw on their monster's strength in exchange for feeding them the life force of the creatures they destroy. The creator of the Advent Cards has the rules :

Contractors are capable of nullifying their contract. However, this requires that another individual be found to take over their contract.]

[How to Transform from human to Kamen Rider] The user stand in front of a mirror, then upon shouting 'Henshin' and stretching his arm towards the mirror, a metal emblem with the shape of a their own contract monster’s head appeared in his hand. The emblem then let out a light that surrounded the contractors, transforming him into Masked Rider.

[About Mirror World] The Mirror World is a parallel, mirrored version of our reality where evil monsters dwell and can be fought by Kamen Riders. It is a desolate, people-free environment that reflects the human world, with text read backward. Only those who have made a contract with a monster can enter the Mirror World using their Advent Deck. The Mirror World is an exact, left-to-right mirrored copy of the human world but without any people.
