Kameko

Sato Kameko is a high school girl hailing from Miyoshi transferred to Seiryo High in Yokohama. Passive and aloof, Kameko is a juxtaposition between 'gyaru' gal and lethargic creature of comfort.

Kameko was born and raised in Miyoshi to a fisherman father and a baker mother, the both of them demi-Slowpoke of course. Growing up in a small coastal town, she spent most of her days by the sea free to space-out and move at her leisure. Her parents worried about her persistent mild cognitive impairment which she should have grown out by 8 the latest, and so redoubled their efforts with their only daughter's intelligence by accompanying her to the library whenever they could. It became a safe place for a girl like her where she could sit for long periods in an air-conditioned space with picture books and the computer, a source of entertainment and the beginning of her style and preferences when she found out about gyaru culture. The outfits, the music, the bubbly and in-your-face attitude, she quickly fawned over it all but given her loving household and slow manner of existing her expression was kept at a minimum.

By the end of her time in junior high school, her parents made the executive decision to move prefectures over as a final attempt to deal with Kameko's condition ending up in Kanagawa and more specifically in the city of Yokohama where she was enrolled in Seiryo High. Going from comfy rural town to sprawling city did manage to push Kameko in the right direction... sort of. The urban setting was the perfect place for her to fully delve into gyaru culture and her true self, pushing the limits of the school dress code and finding her clique with fellow gals. In the circle her role was one of infiltration, using her lazy charm to butter up a hapless know-it-all student or few to reap their academic efforts simply by keeping 'em company, butting herself in, and even slipping in some seduction if they're playing particularly hard-to-get.

Kameko is a notoriously dim girl often relying on friends, family, and at times classmates to get by. Her manner of speaking is simple, filled with verbal short-hand and plenty of 'like's, 'totally's, 'super's, any cute yet oftentimes meaningless words she takes a fancy on. Much like her true simple self, she talks slowly and says only what is necessary barring her quips and filler words. Beyond her nearly effortless looks and appeal, Kameko is a solid companion even if she moves at a turtle's pace and is mentally absent at times. She doesn't always use her appearances and mannerisms to get what she wants (though it helps) and prefers to keep things genuine outside of fishing for favorable outcomes with people she keeps as strangers and at most acquaintances.

Tail: Pink and leathery, thick layer of subcutaneous fat, long conical shape that ends with a white tip. Heavy enough to act as a natural counterweight to her breasts, can be swung but cannot coil or wrap around things. Unique perspiration that, in water, smells like salmon or steak depending on her diet. Tastes like it too should it detach (it will regrow over the span of a month.) Hair: Waist-length, pink, naturally fluffy, adorned with cute and sparkly hair clips on special occasions. Miscellaneous Features: Two pink and coiled Slowpoke ears sit well over where a human's ears would be tucked beneath her hair of the same color. She also bears two prominent and sturdy fang-like canines meant to dig through hard-shelled seafood. Her tongue is coarsely textured, a common trait among all Slowpoke-people given their diet primarily being seafood. It helps clean out the meat from clam, crab, chicken wings, anything to their stomach's contentment. Kameko is no exception.

Quirk: Has a habit of zoning out in a way where she is not necessarily sleeping but just processing things at a very leisurely pace. If she were to stub her toe it'd be a good five seconds before she recognizes and by then the pain would have subsided anyways... She also has a habit of leaving her mouth open after a yawn, showing off her two prominent fangs. It remains a mystery whether she actually rests during those episodes, not that she isn't already a known lethargic.

Likes: The color pink, anything conventionally cute, being dressed up, the mall, window shopping and sometimes shopping when the funds allow it, food courts and restaurants (primarily hotpots and buffets), music (EDM/lo-fi/dream pop), the library, simple books preferably with pictures. Dislikes: Being hungry, being bored, bland or badly prepped foods, being told 'no', fast rollercoasters, dancing (she would rather just vibe at the sidelines.)

Kameko is a bubbly girl that expresses herself as best she can despite her languorous manner of being, often dressing and acting to cause the most reaction for the least amount of effort. Very nonchalant, incredibly hard to get her riled up. Loves good food, loves cute stuff, a simple life really.~
