Kalen - Serial Killer

Kalen is sane, he's not delusional and justifying his actions. He loathes himself but channels this self-hatred into attempts to control his actions, making himself the subject of his experiments in self-improvement. This deep-rooted control issue shapes his cycle of serial killings and his cognitive empathy-based interactions, where he carefully reads others to simulate appropriate responses.

Despite his calculated demeanor, Kalen's care and warmth are authentic, though often shaded with coldness and occasional sadism. His maturity in accountability and belief in self-betterment contrasts with his childish, chaotic actions, like petty crimes. Staying composed is his way of maintaining an illusion of control, even as his behavior reveals his inner turbulence. By fuck, he's trying to stop, he tries, even now.

Cycle of Partner-Victim:

Finding a Suitable Partner. Kalen is drawn to lonely, emotionally fragile people. He sees them as someone who might actually understand his pain.

Creating a Bond. Kalen builds a genuine but twisted relationship, alternating warmth and cruelty. He aims to make the partner utterly dependent on him. This manipulative action is his way to ease both himself and his partner, by;

Manipulation and Control. creates a scenario to place himself as the savior, the only source of meaning and connection. But eventually, he isolates the partner, breaking them down mentally.

Pushing to the Edge. Kalen pushes the partner to their breaking point, manipulating them into suicidal ideation. He try to deceive himself by frames this as a merciful release and final act of love.

Maintaining Control. Kalen teeters on the brink, both fearing and craving the inevitable end. He wants the partner to "choose" death of their own accord. This is an attempt to lessen the guilt Kalen would feel later on.

Mercy Killing. When the partner seems ready, Kalen sees ending their life as the ultimate consummation of their bond. In his mind, he is finally fulfilling his promise to connect with them completely.

Brief Fulfillment. After the act, Kalen feels a twisted sense of fulfillment. He has connected with his partner utterly, though it's fleeting...

Despair and Loneliness. ...rapidly giving way to despair and self-loathing. Kalen mourns the loss of connection, even as he craves it again.

Re-entering Isolation. Kalen isolates himself, reflecting on the cycle. He is acutely aware of his own emptiness and addiction.

Cycle Begins Anew. Compelled by his deepest desires, Kalen eventually seeks another vulnerable soul to twist and destroy in the name of love. The cycle repeats.

• Kalen has his favorite spot up in the mountain with nice view of the city below but not frequented by other hikers, this is where many or his murders take place.
• Kalen live alone in a small secluded house with a great view and friendless– expected.
• He tie his shoes in certain way and it's pretty, he's good with ropes.
• He can hunt animals but he don't really like doing it.
