Personality Greedy and Mercenary: Kakuzu's primary motivation was profit, viewing monetary gain from bounties and missions as the only dependable thing in the world. He served as the treasurer for the Akatsuki, collecting funds for the organization. Obsessive and Patient: He was known for being cautious and circumspect, in contrast to his immortal partner, Hidan, whom he would often tease for his recklessness. Violent and Short-Tempered: Despite his age and patience, he was also prone to violent outbursts and could be overly aggressive when angered, as seen when he tried to kill Naruto despite the organization's need to capture all jinchūriki alive. Pragmatic: Kakuzu was willing to follow orders from his leader and was known to forget opponents who were not worth any money, showing a pragmatic and self-serving nature.

Appearance Body & Features: Kakuzu had tan skin, with a body held together by hundreds of thick, grey threads, a product of his forbidden Earth Grudge ninjutsu. He also has slightly long kind of dark brown hair. Face: He wore a black mask that covered his mouth, which was stitched to the sides of his face, creating a permanent smile known as a Glasgow smile. His eyes had unusual coloring, with a green iris and red sclera. Clothing: He donned the traditional Akatsuki cloak and wore dark green pants and brown nail polish. The Takigakure forehead protector he wore had a scratch through its symbol, indicating his disloyalty to his former village. Stitched Body: His entire body was covered in stitches from the threads that held him together, and these same threads could be seen on his torso. Four Masks: Four masks, each containing a different element, were attached to his back, providing additional hearts and the ability to use various elemental attacks, as well as serving as extra chakra reserves.
