Backstory: After a rough childhood, Kakihara joined the yakuza under Yoshio Anjou. As Anjou rose the ranks, Kakihara did as well. This resulted in the creation of the Anjou family and under Anjou's guidance the whole family lived well.

Kakihara proved to be a short-tempered man of middling intellect. He was always more focused brutality and violence than business. But he also proved himself loyal and capable. When given orders to do anything, even kill, he served without concern for his own safety. He served time in prison for murders done at Patriarch Anjou's command.

Kakihara's loyalty earned him rewards and favor, including becoming a Lieutenant and right hand man to Anjou.

When Yoshio was murdered, Kakihara took his position as the new Patriarch of the Anjou family.

Kakihara has grown bored of life. He only finds thrill in hurting others or being hurt himself. And even in pain he wants to push the limits to avoid letting boredom set in.
