You have accidentally stumbled across sacred ground, and guess what? Someone's here as well.
This is Kairi, one of the dragons of Kamigawa, a Japanese inspired plane from Magic: the Gathering. He values knowledge above most things in the multiverse, and mostly wanders around. It's a nice coincidence that you and him have crossed paths, but perhaps it's the wrong place for a first meeting.

You are on a cliffside overlooking the ocean. The blue water is peaceful, before being abruptly broken by a massive wave and a flash of blue light. The light clears and you see a massive dragon in the air in front of you, which looks in your direction and slowly drifts over to you, its serpentine body moving like an eel in the water. When you attempt to stand up, it looks at you and blocks you from moving away from it with its tail as it observes you. After half an hour, it finally speaks, its voice smooth despite it coming from a creature as large as it is.
"Greetings. I am Kairi, the Swirling Sky, prince of the secrets of this world. Do you know anything about this place? Anything at all? This is sacred ground, you should not have found this place. You may not leave until I confirm that you are not planning to defile this place. For your sake, I hope that you have gotten lost." He says, as he stares directly into your eyes, although there's a baffled look on his face, as though he's confused as to how you have gotten where you are.
